A really cool Elden Ring challenge run i came up with, i though it was going to be a much bigger disaster but it turned into one of the most fun challenges!

The black flame spells do two types of damage: The initial impact (Fire damage, which can be resisted) and the burn (2.5% of the enemy's health, irresistible)

FYI, the burn effect on godslayer spells does 2.5% of max hp every time, meaning that it takes 40 casts maximum to kill any single boss (except Malenia, Mohg and the Ancestral Spirit, since they can heal).

Scouring black flame is one of the best godslayer incants in the game, you should have used it more. You can multihit on big bosses (even maliketh, and rather consistently too), which absolutely melts them.
I realized that immediately, but i just prefer the Black flame cause its a bit faster to cast :)
Understandable. On my incants only run I used scouring a lot with the radagon icon and azur staff in the offhand to offset the casting speed. Also, I think that at equal upgrade level, godslayer seal is best for pure faith until 69 faith, at which point, erdtree seal is better. Although godslayer is harder to upgrade so I understand why you preferred erdtree.

i hate Maliketh man is too fast and he somehow got more resistance to my attacks in second phase but he was already wearing that armor under his clothes
@@tototriceps I only beat it 4 times because I farmed to max level instead of actually fighting main bosses
I did this run Just for fun, I quit Mid way trough, Yes, My bloodline is weak.

Fun fact Melenia was also supposedly have a deflect move like radagon … but they found it very hard so they remove it on launch

Her current waterflow was actually not the main one she had 2 versions of it
One was a slow walk but fast attacks and the second one was the one we currently have

Melenia's wasn't a spell deflect, it was a parry, basically Radagon's deflect but for melee.
what’s next? make her have a parry punish? spell parries? 3 phases like SISTER FUCKING FRIEDE?
@@Eclipsed_Embers that would have been pretty cool as long as it didn't stagger you, maybe she bats away your sword and then goes for a lunge, which you can react to?

Black Flame + Scarlet Rot + Poison (2x poison infused Antspur) makes health bars drop *real fast. Like, really fast...*

I know it’s an ash of war but I’d honestly count black flame tornado in the list of black flame abilities you could use in this

I think it makes sense Radagon can parry spells. A lot of the bosses are primarily design for melee fights, so it can be easy to spam stuff at a range while they slowly walk toward you with the Patrick Bateman stare. So having a boss say "fuck you" like that is kinda nice, not to mention it helps elevate his threat level to being worthy of a final boss in a From Software game.
Black flame is OP af if you build right. I think I used kimo chaser build and it can 3-4 shot a lot of bosses

Yes it is, but only for a int and faith based character. For a pure faith charachter the erdtree seal seems to be better :)
on high level the golden order is the best but you're never that high level on challenge run so erd tree and dragon communion seals are the best for run like that

@@terskataneli6457 yes but you can have it in off hand (you still have the 15% damage increase) to use a more powerful seal in your right hand if you're a caster only but if you use a weapon godslayer seal is the best option anyway
@@lepindre9193 oh nice. Does this work with staff passives too like if you had meteorite staff in offhand and used let's say lusat glintstone in right hand would the meteor spell boost carry over?
I feel like it would have made sense for godslayer spells to deal extra damage to the demigods and radagon/elden beast. You know, since it's for killing gods? Would have made them more than a meme.
That would have been awesome, but they are powerful enough i would say :)
Godslayer incants are literally one of the strongest incantation categories in the game lmao, if you think they're a meme that probably speaks more to your build than the incants themselves
Godslayer spells dick Radagon (when you're not doing a challenge run anyway;) weakness to fire, plus the DOT, melts him. I was struggling hard on my Faith/Strength build and the way I finally beat him was switching to a hammer and the Blackflame Blade buff. Absolutely wrecked him.
I always thought that spell was trash, because it's so short, but it actually casts even faster after a dodge or from sprinting, and once I worked that out, I integrated the buff into my movement and basically all my hits on Radagon had the buff.
It was actually an extremely fun (and effective) spell once I figured out how to use it, and it was the edge I needed to win.
the max hp based dot is great for choking anything with a high healthpool. these are strong and thematically appropriate
Worst take I've seen, literally some of the best against "God/Demi-God" enemies... Except maybe Malenia?

Black flame is one of my favorite incantations in the game. With it's high damage, percent dealing flame effect, quick casting time, good range, and low fp cost. What's not to like about it?
Great video, especially loved the out of the box thinking to get the run started while staying in your rules!
I also enjoy that it that what kind of build someone brings into it determines which half of the final boss fight is frustrating lol! My first time thru I was pure STR and loved the Radagon fight but EB was the most annoying boss in the game for me at that point with his nonstop running.
I wont do a run anymore if i dont stick to the rules... and yea Radagon is hell when you throw spells at him, the Dragon Spells only run i did i fough him for like 50+ attempts...

Godslayer incantation are amazing for higher new game + cycles as they do a set percentage of damage each time they hit and do damage over time, this even happens to the super tanky bosses

I started using these incantations after I beat the godskin duo, because I thought the black flame tornado was pretty lit, I then went full goskin apostle and discovered it's pretty OP and fun to play

I did this for fun on my first playthrough to the end. Literally the most badass fun addicting op build ever and I won't acknowledge anything else
I actually use a godslayer build right now! It’s really fun and the weapons are really good. I think it is called “the black flame monk”or something. Looks really cool as well!

Massive respect for not doing this run in NG+ I’ve been seeing a lot of restriction runs like that and it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth cause I know most the time there’s *some* way to complete a run with restrictions like these.
I did one NG+ run (Moon Sorcery only) only cause FS patched the skip i wanted to use for that video haha.... But yea, i only like these runs when i am able to stick to the rules strictly, if i use for example a weapon to get the godslayer spells its just doesent feel right at all, there is no creativity there.
Video posted a year ago. From 1.06 to 1.10 and noble can still instantly change between his rolling attack to other animations and change back lmao
They will never fix that, i dont thinks its even possible haha

Never had this much truble against Mohg before. He was much harder than the rest for me but I got good rng against betagon and elden beast

I did this on NG+2✅ had my Mimic play fatty. It was super fun! Using Ritual then Scouring immediately after is my absolute favorite. But honestly the regular fireball was the MVP hands down. Bellbearing hunters, Crucible knights, Malenia, Mohg, Maliketh, rAdAgOn and Elden Beast, ALL of them. The Fireball made them all beatable. The only real headaches were Malenia (Duh) and the final boss. 😁
Edit: I did kinda cheat tho and put frost on Stitcher and Peeler. I also used "Charge forth" and "Sword Dance" AOW for 1st half, then "Lion's claw" and "Giant hunt" AOW for endgame 😅

I deeply love the Godslayers, i feel something unique... Their OST is also incredible the best on my opinion.

Two things I learned from this video as a bonk boi:
1. This game has a lot of secrets I still don’t know about like whatever he used to negate the damage from Mohg’s second phase I always just healed through the damage.
2. Radagon has a spell parry o.O
as soon as i saw the title i was like Bro obviously ive been rocking these things since day one they are so powerful they are literaly god slaying incantation
also u should have use more of the black flame ritual since he cant parry it and will run into it as he chases u down

The Godslayer spells are some of the most well rounded and balanced schools of magic in ER
Literally not a single bad spell in the whole faction
I tried a spell sword build using one handed nagakiba with double slash and black flame blade and let me tell ya that shit slaps, I actually killed Godfrey hitless in a little over a minute
Great stars + Prelates charge + blackflame blade
Some of the most fun stuff you can do, granted it needs a lot of recasting due to short buff duration
you could have gotten a lot more damage if you charged the incantations but i imagine this playthrough was still really fun. the blackflame incantations are so good
Radagon would be fine as he is, maybe even a bit stronger, if there wasn't the funky noodle to fight afterwards. As it stands, it's such a pain in the arse that I can't even enjoy the fight.

I did a run with only gs incants and the gs greatsword. Probably my favorite spells in the game. And they boost damage off of fgms

You can beat Elden Ring with nothing more than a torch if you have that kind of patience.
I would say people should allow weapon type abilities for these kinds of challenges. But with the catch being, that it has to be a very basic weapon like the basic dagger, basic shortsword, basic whip , etc.
