I ma still amazed how RockStar made this horse look so damned handsome. For me this is the USP of RDR2, this Dark Bay Turkoman. Also, a great video all together, fully agreed.
U can’t put stirrups on upland the plus 2 speed and acceleration are built in with -65 drain But the reason y nochadoches is best saddle in the game is cause the saddle comes with plus 1 speed and acceleration -35drain and u CAN put stirrups for an additional plus 2 speed and acceleration -50drain Totalling +3 speed acceleration and -85drain rate
My first horse was a red chestnut Arabian, it’s good but it’s small and you’ll find it harder to pass obstacles where larger horses step over them, it’s also very skittish in a fight
I wish we could sort of mix stats of horses with others. Like I would love a look of shire horse with a stats of a mustang. I mostly want this because the way I play would cause low health horses to die often and I dont want to buy horse reviver or medicine in bulk. I would pay gold for a feature like this.
Would like to mention, Noch saddle is considered superior due to the fact, its stamina drain rate is -35%, but has another -50% (hit RS to view while viewing saddle stats). Collectively giving the Nach saddle 85% stamina drain rate reduction
I bought the Black Overo, that you had not recommended, as it costed 20 gold bars, and you know, I purely bought it because of it's look. The white painted fur on the face looks so badass and unique, as it looks like the horses skull. Also, I have a pet rabbit named Oreo who is also black and white, and coincidentally the breed is called "Black Overo" (sounds like "Black Oreo.")
How u should do it: 1. morgan when u start the game, 2. Chesnut arabian, 3. grind so long u have enough money and u are high level enough to get what u want.
I have that one too. I named it Spirit lol. I love the stamina & health on it, but I wish it was a little faster. Maybe I need better stirrups & saddle? Idk
@@pearick-_-5537 Oh yeah definitely. I'm saving up to get it right now actually. I just unlocked it lol. I'm not a really high level. I just now really got into red dead online. I played the story a lot before though
Thanks for making this video man, when I saw I could get a mustang in this game I set out to buy it as soon as possible. Just was wondering what saddles I should go with and it was a pleasant surprise to see the mustang be one of your top picks!
The mustang has such good stamina that you have more saddle options as long as you add top tier stirrups, which will grant 50% stamina drain rate reduction and let your Mustang run all day with any saddle that allows custom stirrups. The nacogdoches saddle adds another 35% drain rate reduction but with a horse that strong it's overkill, but it is the ONLY saddle to give you one extra bar of spd/acc.
Fast horse wise, I managed to get my Criollo to 10 speed with the nagcadoches saddle. Not sure if it was a glitch or what, just thought I ought to share.
@@reddeadryan78 you get sick of them. Especially after I bought the Black Arabian. That horse is so expensive that I don't want his face hidden hahaha.
If you are purely starting off new I would recommend you get the Tennessee Walker. The reason is it has the best use in my opinion with equal health and stamina. Put the best stirrups you can and it will run for a good bit before needing a rest. If you do the horse mission and are not able to get it I highly recommend sinking 50-60 dollars into one. It's well worth it!
Good informative vid. A horses stamina doesn’t really matter if you ‘pat’ them while sprinting you gain a ton of stamina back. If they are max bonding.
@@Dare_To_Game I hear ya. I just think that’s the only stat worth mentioning when considering the nacog. I mean the stamina drain is awesome but eh . All the differences in the top tier saddles are negligible
@@Dare_To_Game it also stacks the drain rate reduction, making it -85% (-50 for stirrups and -35 base) vs the upland's -65%. I love the upland, but Nacodoches is still king.
Upland is only better for core drain rates. Which only matter if you don't ever feed your horses (shame on you). Nacogdoches achieves higher speed and better bar drain rates, once you fully customize it.

There isnt such thing as native american horses, they went extinct way before Cortés brought them there. Btw he brought mostly iberian horses known now as mustangs
Any horse with a nacogdoches saddle and top tier stirrups is serviceable. Plus, speed is a bit overrated as each bar only grants a 0.5% speed increase.
Surprised to hear people don't like the Arabian. I love it. Of course i got it back when the game was new and it's way better then the Kentucky saddler you start with. Then i stopped playing a month after start till last week so i only have them 2 horses. Im a long way from getting my next horse but it may not matter because i will probably worry about looks over stats.
I've not been playing too long but I absolutely love my gypsy cob, I now use her as main over my dapple grey MFT. Idk something about it just really appeals to me, I got the naturalist role simply so I could get the starting white gypsy cob, even though it has the lowest stats I popped a good saddle on and she can run for ages, speed really doesn't seem too much different like I don't feel like I'm much slower, for me I always go by looks rather than stats and so far the white cob is really working well for me
Finally. A top 5 list for horses in online that doesnt ignore how good the later tier mustangs are. They are legitimately one of the best horses in the game, and they are also low level and cheap. I do why so many people overlook them.
I mostly agree with this and have been doing a lot research on the horses lately. I think 'favorite' and 'the best' are very separated with rdr2 horses. I love my Norfolk, but in all honesty the true best horse is the Mustang. Speed might matter in this game more to some people, but it's a fact that speed is absolete when doing any missions, considering how the true time difference between all the fastest horses is not wide enough gap for it to effect completing any mission faster. If a horse is skiddish in this game, it doesn't matter how skiddish it is, it's all the same. The Mustang isnt skiddish. It does not run off when being shot around and putting a bounty on it. I know you already mentioned this, but when the mustang Tovero is at 4 bonding, it's stamina and health bar are maxed out. It's not the fastest, but it's faster than most. And again, speed doesn't matter because when you're in a race and winning/losing, the game itself makes up for it to make sure you stay with the crowd or can catch up. The Mustang really is the best horse when it comes to any mission.
Not sure where you got your information but the new mustangs have no level lock, and have max health and stamina when fully bonded, probably making them one of the best all around horses. Plus they are more stable in gun fights and around predators being war class.
With top tier horses such as the Arabian and Missouri Fox Trotter, I find that you can equip them with any saddle that you like the look of just as long as they have the hooded stirrups and not see much of a difference. Trust me, you’ll get bored of the nacogdoches saddle on every horse. I only reserve the nacogdoches saddle for the low tier horses that I like the look of who need it.
that's why I like the upland saddle: when calming down your horse, no much difference to the nachagdoches, you won't run out of stamina - - - I also don't have an issue with the nachagdoches, but I really hate the looks of the hooded stirrups, haha
Stamina for horses is irrelevant. Actually almost all of the horse stats are irrelevant, just pick a coat you like (buy or tame) and put nacadoches saddle and hooded stirrups on it and you'll be fine.
@@amyschumacher2943 it does matter cause riding the Arabian is very annoying and it's hard to control when it's pussy 24/7 and constantly bucking you off

Just a quick note on bravery: bravery is fun to talk about but in both single player and online ANY horse can be 'brave'. I've had several Arabian horses that I hunt and gunfight with regularly without issue. Ive actually got an online one that I saved a posse member with by repeatedly charging a panther and tramped the panther to death with the horse. Same one will walk on gators for me. Your timing with the calm command is super important. Pick a horse you like and learn to control it. If your horse finishes at 5-6 speed and stamina a good saddle is all you need to run the country mile. I've been able to place or win with the starter horse in varrious events. Recently even with the starter saddle on a walker with 4 in those stats. Ive seen others do well with the scrawny nag too. As stated at the beginning of this vedio get the one YOU like best. Some horses will glitch and be pretty aggitated all the time others may glitch the opposite way and become supper steadfast. Or they will have constantly drained cores. This is why i generally avoid horses that cost gold. Sometimes you can fix it with a reload or by switching horses other times you can't. You may need to avoid a stall all together or discard and re-buy the horse.
Lmao the roadster is fast and lovely to ride but that thing has an attitude problem around any predator. Plus it has a problem of tossing me off when we stop when literally no other horse does this. Good horse though when he's not a pain in the ass.
@@bradyc8119 no, the reason the Nacogdoches saddle is the best is because you can put the best stir ups on it giving the saddle -85% stamina drain, you literally never run out of stamina because by the time it drains even a tiny bit you can press G or whatever the calm button is on console and you regain the stamina you lost, even if you drain it almost all the way you can regain more stamina than you lose
I wish they would fix the height of the Arabian. They aren’t that short irl. Also wish they’d let us sell our horses, not discard them. Or let us have room in Bonnie’s corral, or a farm or something, for extra horses. Why give so many choices and only ten stalls? ☹️
I can confirm the Red Chestnut Arabian is very skittish. Also with the hooded stirrups on the Nagadoches saddle the stamina drain rate becomes -85% because of the 35% from the saddle and 50% from the stirrups.
@@franciscomagallon3364 it’s not bad for a horse that you can just buy at any level. Buckskin Mustang is great considering the ease of getting one and the stats.

Not sure how it happened but ths horse is a beast!! I also have an American Standardbread. Solid Black color. Named him "Shadow" Overall not the fastest or best acceleration but the horse handles great and when i call it it comes running unlike my mustang. He takes his time getting there, obvious attitude problem. But my best horse is the Turkomen in the Chestnut color. I named him "Blaze" Very fast horse with good acceleration. I wish Rockstar would have put stats for the saddles as well as the Stirrups.

Buckskin mustang is my favorite and the best one I have. Mine has been super brave and full health and stamina ring at max bonding. My go to for anything
The Ultimate Edition horse (Black Chestnut Racing Thoroughbred) is even better than the Missouri Fox Trotters. I swap out between the Naco and Upland saddles.
or you just do whatever you like best, differences are minimal, preferences are personal, I have a black turkoman with the collector saddle (I forgot the name) and the bell stirrups, looks over stats for me.
I have a thoroughbred horse named Jimmy. He’s the best horse I have. He’s blood bay in color and has never failed me in a competition of speed or combat.
I’ve always used steel bay Breton with naco and hooded. And black Arabian with naco and hooded. Kladruber for the bulk with same set up My new love is the mustang - chestnut just looks beautiful IMO. Wish they brought out new saddles to compete with upland and Nacogdoches
I don’t like the upland because you can’t change the saddle bag, specifically the collector bag because with it you can add up to 7 outfits in your horses inventory!
Norfolk roadster tricolor is what I chose. Stamina is almost a full circle at max bonding. Fast as hell. Those that say it has an attitude problem around predators. Puuleese. I've tried other horses around predators and they are far worse around predators. Especially the war horse. If you know the horse and keep it calm, you won't have problems. I use my Norfolk for all different types of missions. Excellent companion, great choice.
As a joke my main horse is a Morgan with bay roan coloring. It uses the Nacodoches saddle, hooded stirrups, and the Snowy Egret trinket for that added 10% stamina boost. Top stats: 6 stamina 5 health 6 speed 5 acceleration.
The hooded stirrups add 1 to your speed bar.. so if a hores has 9 speed without hooded stirrups it have 10 with them... but the game is all about your personal preference.. the horse the saddle the guns it what you prefer to use ...
You're great at making Red Dead beautifully stylish; therefore, I would love to see an extensive review on the SPECIAL saddles available in RDR2. I will not ever purchase the Walmart Nacho saddle. I prefer to adorn my horses with beautiful saddles and golden cores (I currently possess role saddles Delgado and McKi/enney). I do not want to purchase a gorgeous "special" saddle that degrades my horse's performance, The Nacho saddle is not one size fits all. Thank you, your content is invaluable to obtaining more pleasure and personal goals in the game.
I have a grey Turkoman and buckskin brindle MFT. I like them both and I’m probably gonna get the top tier Brenton soon as well. There’s a mistake you made though because the drain rate with the Nachodges and hooded stirrups is -85% so it’s got the upland beat by 20% and it can have the collector saddle bags on it which gives me room for 7 outfits instead of just 5 with the upland.
I've got the top Fox Trotter with the Nacho saddle and best stirups. And it was the best states in the game inregards to those white and yellow indicators. The one on top consits of 7 white and 3 yellow. The bottom though always has less consist of the top 3 being yellow also.
I own only one Missouri Fox Trotter and named him Cipher, just because his colors is nearly akin to his F15 and he’s just as great as people say. Now, to figure the outfit that works for it.
You never mentioned the size factor with the horses, the breton is my favorite and is a large horse, the foxtrotter is more like a pony and you cannot hang rabbits on the mckiny saddle.
There is no argument considering saddles, for there is no other saddle that increases speed and accelleration, Naco it is. The bonding does not affect speed/accell, those upgrades come from stirups(+ 1 or 2) and saddle(+0 or 1) only. Bonding now defines the ammout you regen when pressing G or left stick and life/stamina.

I agree with this… I’ve gone through so many horses… and I have two Kladrubers and they are awesome…. Yeah gators they don’t do very well… and they tend to stay fairly close to me during gun battles
Turkoman>Kladruber
Klud, breton, and mustang
All horse got the same amount of chill.
Horse bravery is not a real thing. All horses will buck you when the animal roars

the perlino turkoman looks amazing!! and whenever it catches the morning sun or moonlight its just ❤️🔥 just bought it yesterday and i couldn't have been happier 😊
Just because you mentioned that the Dark Bay Turkoman is the best looking horse in the game, you won a subscriber for life. I am on my 4th playthrough on PC (I can use Lenny's mod to have any horse in the game) still my game doesn't start till I complete the Horse flesh for dinner Quest and steal Cerberus (Dark bay Turkoman) from the Braithwaites. I ma still amazed how RockStar made this horse look so damned handsome. For me this is the USP of RDR2, this Dark Bay Turkoman. Also, a great video all together, fully agreed.
U can’t put stirrups on upland the plus 2 speed and acceleration are built in with -65 drain
But the reason y nochadoches is best saddle in the game is cause the saddle comes with plus 1 speed and acceleration -35drain and u CAN put stirrups for an additional plus 2 speed and acceleration -50drain
Totalling +3 speed acceleration and -85drain rate
Just shows what a noob Dare to Game is that he doesn't bother to find this out before posting content.
Dark bay Turkoman is my favorite so far. And yea I agree, totally one of the most attractive horses in the game :)
No matter what, I will stick with my seal brown breton by the name "Dinner For Later". He has been the best horse yet for me. 🤫
Same for my Turkoman named "RC"
I had a mustang called dutch
I had a gray horse named shadow

My first horse was a red chestnut Arabian, it’s good but it’s small and you’ll find it harder to pass obstacles where larger horses step over them, it’s also very skittish in a fight
It was my first horse too. 2 accounts and 18 horses later I still have my little buddy El Colorado.
I bought my red chestnut arabian 'cos I'm sick of my old Tennessee Walker
I wish we could sort of mix stats of horses with others. Like I would love a look of shire horse with a stats of a mustang. I mostly want this because the way I play would cause low health horses to die often and I dont want to buy horse reviver or medicine in bulk. I would pay gold for a feature like this.
Would like to mention, Noch saddle is considered superior due to the fact, its stamina drain rate is -35%, but has another -50% (hit RS to view while viewing saddle stats). Collectively giving the Nach saddle 85% stamina drain rate reduction
(the stirrups add -50%, when other saddles stirrups are factored into their totals)
Black Overo are my favorite. It has max health max stamina also fearless.
How u should do it: 1. morgan when u start the game, 2. Chesnut arabian, 3. grind so long u have enough money and u are high level enough to get what u want.
Solid advice, plus, like i said, if you have a good saddle, you're golden.

Thanks for making this video man, when I saw I could get a mustang in this game I set out to buy it as soon as possible. Just was wondering what saddles I should go with and it was a pleasant surprise to see the mustang be one of your top picks!
The Nacogdoches saddle is the best saddle in the game if you have the hooded stirrups! It's a must have!
I used the gypsy cob, splash piebald. Love that horse as they don't scare easy and fearless.
Fast horse wise, I managed to get my Criollo to 10 speed with the nagcadoches saddle. Not sure if it was a glitch or what, just thought I ought to share.
Thats the saddle👍
Many horses can get to 10 speed with the Naco/Hooded Stirrups combo. My $150 Piebald Gypsy Cob can keep pace with Arabians with that saddle!
I use the dark bay Turkamen, red nocadoches saddle and collecter saddle bag that carries 7 outfits. And no dumb mask!
The masks are dope

Cladruber is all Black - have fun
If you are purely starting off new I would recommend you get the Tennessee Walker. The reason is it has the best use in my opinion with equal health and stamina. Put the best stirrups you can and it will run for a good bit before needing a rest. If you do the horse mission and are not able to get it I highly recommend sinking 50-60 dollars into one. It's well worth it!
Good informative vid.
A horses stamina doesn’t really matter if you ‘pat’ them while sprinting you gain a ton of stamina back. If they are max bonding.
Didn’t mention the nacogdoches and hooded stirrups add 1 speed and acceleration
Forgot because i was rushing. the video was getting too long.
Yeah, ffs made me spend money on the upland bs...
I love the spotted tricolor Norfolk roadster. My favorite horse.
I love the Turkoman, and Nachodoces Saddle, I've 4 Turkomen, Hooded Stirrups, and find the Turkoman has Great energy at long distance Gallops

@@ColtBrake55 so random my god
Yeah, you're not wrong. The buckskin mustang is still one of my go tos.
They’re slow as dog shit
Wonderful video. Helpful for those just starting out and those having played for a bit longer... Nicely done.
Thank you, i am glad you think so.
No cap. I keeped my starter horse until I was at least level 100 when I got myself a second horse, I think my horse needs a retirement after all that.
Me: uses Kentucky saddler
Kermit: nah fam
My favorite is pretty consistently the Turkoman, but the mustangs are great.
Not sure where you got your information but the new mustangs have no level lock, and have max health and stamina when fully bonded, probably making them one of the best all around horses. Plus they are more stable in gun fights and around predators being war class.
They are excellent horses. I generally recommend them to new players now.
Ratio
I think the most important factor barely talked about is how easily spooked the horses are.
Doesn't actually matter: ua-cam.com/video/Px3HuVaeYsA/v-deo.html

Bought the mustang on sales when I started the game. Never bought any other, just perfect.
Mustang + Delgado Saddle, you can kill cougars over running them with the horse
there's a beaver skin saddlebag you can get from Gus (2 perfect beaver skins) that looks boss with the black and grey nagadoches.
Thats true. it looks really cool.
@@Dare_To_Game when I looked at the stats it says it was better then the nogadoches saddle is this true?
@@bradyc8119 no, the reason the Nacogdoches saddle is the best is because you can put the best stir ups on it giving the saddle -85% stamina drain, you literally never run out of stamina because by the time it drains even a tiny bit you can press G or whatever the calm button is on console and you regain the stamina you lost, even if you drain it almost all the way you can regain more stamina than you lose
The best looking horse in rdr2 is hands down the black shire horse 🙌🏼
Also dont forget to get the trinket that makes your horse bonding rate speed increase
So don't use this horse then?
@@franciscomagallon3364 it’s not bad for a horse that you can just buy at any level. Buckskin Mustang is great considering the ease of getting one and the stats.

Very fast horse with good acceleration.
I wish Rockstar would have put stats for the saddles as well as the Stirrups.

The buckskin mustang is great. Its always the horse i recommend to new players that are asking what to get.
The Ultimate Edition horse (Black Chestnut Racing Thoroughbred) is even better than the Missouri Fox Trotters. I swap out between the Naco and Upland saddles.

Wish they brought out new saddles to compete with upland and Nacogdoches
Missouri Fox Trotter with the only real option for saddles, the Nacogdoches is my set up. I rarely even use my 4 other horses.

I agree. There is only a minute difference between most of the stuff in the game, so a lot of it does come down to personal preference.
The panther saddle that costs gold bars has great stat boosts.
Is this video still up to date? Has there been any new horses added that are better than the ones shown?

Don't think I could give up my gray shire she's been with me since day 1
There is no argument considering saddles, for there is no other saddle that increases speed and accelleration, Naco it is.
The bonding does not affect speed/accell, those upgrades come from stirups(+ 1 or 2) and saddle(+0 or 1) only.
Bonding now defines the ammout you regen when pressing G or left stick and life/stamina.
Im only level 20 and I got $500 and spent it on a buckskin mustang
