This is WONDERFUL!!! Solves a number of riddles I have had for a while. I grow my blueberries, and there is only so much jam you can (or want to) make. Thank you. This is great for a number of reasons.

Yikes , I just took my blueberries out to sit on counter and noticed it looks like 3 have not sealed …..could they still end up sealing within next 24 hours? Other 4 did seal .
Hello I have to 5lbs of frozen blue berries, I’m wondering how many quarts I would get out of that. And how much simple syrup should I make.hope to her from you this is my 1st trying it.
My mom made a batch like this years ago. I poured them in my pancake batter Lessing the amount of liquid as needed. Best blueberry pancakes ever. I imagine they would work equally as well in muffins
What a great idea! I need to make some room in my freezer, and just happen to have several kinds of fruit that I need to do something with. I will definitely can them. Thanks, Bev!
Gracie is a Boxer, I'm a Boxer mom/snob. Although I love all puppies. 🤍🐾🤍 I need room in my freezer, I tried pie filling🤦♀️, so thanks for this tutorial, cause I can make ANYthing with them now
When I go the make the pie..I strain the blueberries. Pouring the juice into a pot putting the berries in the pie shell. I then add a TBS of butter and two of corn/tapioca starch...heat it up whisking as you go. As soon as it begins to thicken pour it over the berries!
My berries did not turn out well this way. I think next time I will make pie filling or jam/jelly. They ended up clumping in a large mass of smashed berries. Don’t know why.
Curious how good the quality would be after 5 yrs in the freezer? I know strawberries would definitely compromised, are blueberries an exception? Can't wait to see recipe. I'd murder some waffles served with blueberry syrup and lemon curd.
Thank you mrs Volfie. I love u and ya channel. My tiny homestead is growing and it originally statted with me watching you. Question, where can i get the tools can foods? Thx.
All you need is a good Pressure canner..and ( As you saw) it can double as a boil bath canner..and a canning funnel kit comes with the jar tongs. all these can usually be bought at any walmart, lowe, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware and Amazon!
EXCELLENT instructions! Thank you so much 😊
Love your videos, straight to work and no talky talk !❤
Excellent

Perfect!! Right to the point.love it. ❤❤
Nothing like hearing that pop! Especially when you hear the same amount as your jars lol
RIGHT?
Wonderful, thank you!!!
That was a great video! Thank you for being very thorough and talking to me like I was a beginner but you weren’t really wordy
I'm imagining that blueberry syrup drizzled into lemonade or tea during the heat of summer... NOM!
Moona1966 great idea
Do I need to add lemon juice to this recipe with the simple sugar syrup?
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for!
Can you warm the blueberries up first before putting in jars so they are warm or hot like the jar? I’m new to canning
Mrs V love yr videos thank you
Perfect timing! I’ve been wondering what I can do with the large bag of frozen berries in my freezer!
Oh I am so GLAD!

@Cooking With Cannabis Aw, thanks Bev for the 'heads-up' ; ) ... looking forward to it !! : )
Are blueberries, raspberries & blackberries only be water bathed? Not pressure canned?
Good tip about pouring the water out
INSTEAD OF WATER BATH, CAN YOU COOK IT IN YOUR PRESSITE COOKER
I always learn something when I watch you.....thank you.
Bev, have you tried dehydrating your blueberries. It's simple and they last at least another 5 or 6 years.
Looks good
I never thought of doing that my the frozen berries I have in my freezer! Thank you Bev for this wonderful idea, I will do it too:)

Yum yum yum
I can’t wait for the blueberry recipe. Thank you for sharing. ❤️

Absolutely!
That was brilliant. Come do my freezer content Bev... hurry lol xo
Love your castle. I'm waiting patiently for my blueberries to be ready.
Have you canned frozen strawberries? If so, how did it turn out and what did you use it for?
I have a lot of blueberries in the freezer. not big jam people. I never thought to can them.
Yikes , I just took my blueberries out to sit on counter and noticed it looks like 3 have not sealed …..could they still end up sealing within next 24 hours? Other 4 did seal .
THEY ALL SEALED😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you, I have some in my freezer I need to can. God Bless. 🌹❣💙💛💞💜
I can do with frozen strawberries ?
I have never done it but you can try?
Hello I have to 5lbs of frozen blue berries, I’m wondering how many quarts I would get out of that. And how much simple syrup should I make.hope to her from you this is my 1st trying it.
Oh Bev, you tease with the blueberry recipe coming up LOL
Thank you. Have a great day!
I have a large bag of blueberries in my freezer that I need to can. Thanks for the reminder.
Can fruit be canned without syrup? I love canned fruit but would like it to be healthy with less sugar and a fresher taste?
Sure you can can them in water! But you have to use a pressure canner and they probably turn to mush
Why leave them in the freezer so long? They lose nutrients over time.
Thinking of doing this when I can apples if I have extra room. Both seem to be a half hour cooking time. Any trouble with doing that? New subscriber!
I don't see why not
So smart! I never thought to can up my frozen berries! How long for pints?
Can you do same process with any frozen berry?
My mom made a batch like this years ago. I poured them in my pancake batter Lessing the amount of liquid as needed. Best blueberry pancakes ever. I imagine they would work equally as well in muffins
THANK YOU!!

How do you thicken them up as a pie???
Yum!
Hi!! This is a ? About the canning flour episode. What was the temp you canned them at? Thank you.
I need to do that with all the blueberries I have taking up freezer space. Thanks.
Can we use just water instead of syrup?
Blueberry pancake syrup!
WAIT! I am making a special Breakfast tomorrow..so it will be Sunday or Mondays video!
Looks good, Bev! Hope you are doing well! 🥰

ONCE AGAIN BEV PERFECT
i use my tongs the opposite way
Great idea! Thank you for the video!
I'm curious, Do you think I can do same recipe with any berries and fruits?
I don't see why not?
Excellent! Thank you so much for your response! 😊❤
Also, how do you "thicken" it for pie filling? Thanks.
When I go the make the pie..I strain the blueberries. Pouring the juice into a pot putting the berries in the pie shell. I then add a TBS of butter and two of corn/tapioca starch...heat it up whisking as you go. As soon as it begins to thicken pour it over the berries!
@@OurHalfAcreHomestead Thanks so much for explaining that! I will give it a try.
Can you do any kind of frozen fruit in a simple syrup the same way?
I'm not sure about tropical fruit but yeah as long as you're canning it in simple syrup it will Preserve
My berries did not turn out well this way. I think next time I will make pie filling or jam/jelly. They ended up clumping in a large mass of smashed berries. Don’t know why.
Sorry to hear that!
They don’t even look freezer burned. You must have a good deep freezer
YUP!
Is it the same if the blueberries are not frozen?
Pints 15 minuts and quarts 20 minutes if your altitude is 1,000ft or below
Gracie has to voice her opinion
My blueberries and strawberries that I canned have leached the color into the water. I just assumed people normally do not can them because of that.
Curious how good the quality would be after 5 yrs in the freezer? I know strawberries would definitely compromised, are blueberries an exception? Can't wait to see recipe. I'd murder some waffles served with blueberry syrup and lemon curd.
I used some of them in pancakes last week they're fine
A deep freezer rarely gets opened. They would have been totally freezer burned in a kitchen freezer.
Holy smokes Bev, stop tipping that syrup jar 🤦♀️ lol. Hope it sealed properly.
Yup Sealed and I will be using it in Breakfast tomorrow!
