    Wish you had demonstrated the correct neutral position. Also, I'm not understanding why a posterior tilt would lead to a higher risk of disc herniation when it appears that the lower spine joints are (seemingly) more vertically aligned in a posterior tilt. When trying to compensate for an anterior tilt, how does one know that one is over-compensating by going into a posterior tilt? It would seem that the difference between a posterior tilt and a neutral tilt is quite subtle and that is where we anterior tilters need guidance.

    Thanks so much, explained the posterior tilt I have a lot better than my local doctors. Did you ever make a video on posterior tilt exercises?
    Edit: never mind, I found it!

    You simplified the keys areas for me. Focus on the the gut and butt. Also stretch the hip flexor.

    Somehow I think I have both problems! I have a straight lower back, pain in the front hip flexor area of my hip and pain in the discs of my lower back but I feel like my hips are wanting to roll forward into a butt gripper position. I’m actively doing calisthenics and strength training. Mostly squats, bench press and shoulder press… seems like things are getting g worse with my low back and front hip flexors but I’m making gains in strength.

    Is it possible to have anterior tilt on the right side and a posterior tilt on the left side? I feel like my hips are rotated in different directions and I can't find a video that addresses this.

      that could possibly be due to a leg length inequality. I'll try to make a video for you ASAP. I'll also try to make a video for some corrective exercises too. Thanks for the question.

    This was a great explanation, however, isn't core muscles, not stomach muscles? Muscles being mostly the transverse abdominus that is weak (the inner core that covers most of the torso), external obliques, internal obliques, and rectus abdominus? Thanks!

    So all I have to strengthen is glutes and Abbs sounds easy?

    • @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis
      @DrJeffreyOGuinSaintLouis  3 роки тому +1

      If pain is related to forces on the small joints in the back of the spine because of an anterior pelvic tilt, strengthening abbs and glutes will likely help. These are short videos meant to give some good options. There are many other factors that should be considered if this approach doesn't help.
