Every Egyptian woman I know has been a successful career woman,often transcending the strict gender norms placed on her.Ive met women,including my Egyptian mother,who worked for very prestigious companies including the UN & WHO.Heck my mother was making 2x my fathers salary when she met him!Living in America,NOTHING disgusts me more than when I see an American woman choosing NOT to get an education, career, etc & still finds Arab women oppressed.Gender issues are a global problem, not sectional!
