Every cotton polo shirt I have ever bough, it either in the trash or donated. They've all shrunk to the point that they no longer fit. That's why I wear golf polos, but they fit like CRAP. If I paid $80+ for a rag, I'd be pissed.
Wash 30° C and dont tumble dry. Make sure to hang them on the shoulders when wet, so they can hang down straight and they shouldnt shrink on you at all
I hear you, the only way around this is to stretch the shit out of it when it comes out of the wash. I am 6ft 3inch and wear a large so the length really matters. I bought a large in another supposedly quality brand which shrunk by 2inches in the length which takes it from wearable to unwearable. I had to soak it in cool water and conditioner before I restretched the length. You wouldn’t expect this if you are paying $140 AUD

I feel the classic fits more tight than the regular fit. I always have to order a size larger if it's classic fit but with regular I just order the size I normally get.

I prefer Fred Perry polo shirts. But Lacoste make some classy polo shirts. P.S. Polo shirts are meant to be worn close to the body, not like these American loose and baggy Ralph Lauren neo preppy street wear polo shirts.

Regular = good for average, rounder tummy

Hi yes Classic L12 12 should be ok as it comes slightly loose.

I would recommend to go with XL, as in XL chest circumference measures 44-46", I think XXL will be too big as it comes in 48-49" chest circumference.
