Finally someone that is showing how to get the most out of cinematic mode instead of telling us why it’s not as good as a professional camera! Thank you for the tips!
@@SeanAlami great video indeed, big up for the efforts that went into it! Would you say for someone starting out shooting content for YT that the 11 pro is a bad choice today compared to 13 (not the pro) ? 11 pro 256gb can be had for 1/3 of the price of the 13 model 128gb. But ofc I wouldn't have the cinematic mode ;(
For the past two years I have been shooting v log with a Panasonic S1 . Today I got delivery of my iPhone 13 pro max and went outside to shoot some test footage. My goodness ! I am just blown away. What I used to get from grading footage shot with a heavy bulky camera is now what I get straight out of the camera that’s not much bigger or heavier than a deck of cards. I’m not a professional. From here on the iPhone 13 will be my A cam and the S1 my B cam for special situations. It’s incredible what Apple has done with this.
This right here is how you use cinematic mode on the iphone 13 pro. Good job. Its crazy to me that you met someone what was trusting enough. Thanks for the vid.
Great video man 🙌 *All these “big” UA-camrs just said that cinematic mode is nit as good as a real pro. Camera - thnx sooo much for showing that it is good and can be used* Love from Pakistan 🤍💚
I'm a professional harpist and currently looking around at cameras and iPhones that would work best for filming myself and other b-roll content to help grow my channel and performing business. Would you say this is a good phone to settle for or is it worth it to invest in the newer ones? Loved all the information and down-to-earth approach you have on the subject.
Great video both on here and what you’re showing in your video! I’m considering IPhone 13 Pro for my next phone and camera. I’m still on 8 but I’m wondering is did you switch to 4K for shooting that? My old 8 does do 4K but I don’t use it much. Also is that the camera on the phone? I use a app Pro Movie so I can use external audio. Thanks, Matt
Thank you young man.. I greatly appreciate your expertise and how to use this new phone I've just purchased I shot a feature film back in the day on video in the 1990s.... That was a low budget and released only in video stores... I am seriously considering shooting one now in this small place where I live with the iPhone... Thank you
This is the first video I watched from your channel. It just suddenly shows on my recommended videos. And I really like your content, sir! It is very specific to what the content really is. And you explained it very well 🙌👌 tho I don't have the money to buy IPhone 13 Pro, I just really love watching smartphone videos 😂😁
Ok first I must say this video is A++++++. Amazing work. I know sometimes creators say they used the iPhone, but later you find out the iPhone was used in less than 10% of the footage. Was this shot 100% from the iphone? Awesome work. ❤️
Excellent video, thanks for sharing the tips. What application or editor will help to edit the footage where you showed us how to focus later during editing? How do we do that, do we need special software to do that or any editor can do it? I use Final Cut Pro, can I do that in it after I take the footage?
Thank you for the great video. I have iPhone 13, but I guess most applies to 13 as well (no Pro). There might be better phones for shooting videos, etc, but I am just so much used to Apple products, that I don’t even think about moving to smith else. I will try applying your advise. Thank a lot.
Great video !! I just bought my iPhone 13 pro max but haven't been able to go out and try it. But I noticed a bit of chopped footage when panning down and to the side. Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid that? Thank you and again. Great video Alami.
Beautiful work and so helpful... Thanks! My iPhone 13 arrives in a few days. In your video it looked like you were able to change the f-stop AFTER you recorded some video. It that possible?
I’ve been thinking of buying a stabilizer. Just worried that i need to use the app instead of the cinematic mode itself. What is your stabilizer/gimbal? Thank you for this!
I’ve learned a lot . Highly appreciated 🙏🏿 Now I can shoot great dance videos contents:) Super Thankfully. Found this video very useful and 100% gonna subscriber 🙏🏿
Excellent content. But I have a question. In all of the cinematic demonstrations I’ve seen so far, I’ve noticed some odd frame freezing/stuttering when there’s any panning across a scene and it really stands out to my eyes. Is this something to do with UA-cam compression/formatting or is this a problem native to cinematic mode itself? As an example, watch the building in the background as it pans across this shot 7:01 and every 5th or so frame it very briefly stutters or sticks, and it ends up making the whole shot look almost “choppy”… anyone know the cause or the solution? Edit: if you watch that same section and playback at 0.25x you can very clearly see the quick frozen frame, approximately every 3-5 frames (keep your eyes on the background building). Like REALLY see it clearly.
Thank You, this is something that you should be bothering you if it was on an expensive pro camera. This is just the phone and its at its beginning phase, look a-the brighter side. It looks amazing :)
@@SeanAlami it certainly looks nice but that stuttering really bothers me personally. I’m wondering if it’s actually a bug. Did you try looking at that time stamp in slow motion? It REALLY shows there and I’ve noticed it in every demonstration of cinematic mode so it’s certainly not an issue with your video specifically. It would seem that dropping frames in cinematic mode is currently unavoidable?
@@SeemsLikeSomething I believe so unfortunately. The reason it stutters is because the shutter speed is probably cranked all the way up in the native camera app. If you use the Filmic Pro app, you can actually manually adjust the shutter speed. Lets say you’re filming in 24FPS, the shutter speed should be double the frame rate, so it’ll be 1/48. That’s what gives videos the motion blur effect and makes it more “cinematic”. The only downside is that you’ll need an ND Filter which is an extra 100 bucks BUT worth the investment. Once you set the shutter speed to 1/48, the image would look insanely blown out so that’s probably why the native app probably stuck to the highest shutter speed :/
@@jaspercapalad thanks for the info 👍 I will also have to experiment a bit with cinematic mode to see when and where that stutter might be occurring the most or if there’s any digital workaround. Cheers
I think it is terrible too but, just shooting from a tripod would be my solution and then just a bit of motion in post with zoom or. . . .not perfect but that studdering, OMG, I though it was shot in the wrong frame rate, LOL!
My Huawei mate 30 pro use to be like that, 4 years ago. The colors the blur background, amazing. Them Huawei fuckup with am update. Them I break the phone and move forward. But it was a premiere. The TOF tech
