- This movie is my absolute favourite in terms of action fight between huge things. The amount of details, the effort, the CGI, the horeography... Simply brilliant. I love this movie! Which is why I collected the scenes I like the most to show you guys.

Oh-
Lmaoooo😭😭
that should be uprising
That's gotta be one big card.
I don’t get it.
This movie was made in 2013 but has CGI that is wayyyyyyyyyy better then most movies now
Thats because mos fights take place at night. Nighttime is very good at hiding cgi. Look at 1993 Jurassic Park. Still, is a very clever technique that worked in the movies favor
Hello am a Pacific rim you have any questions please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns you have a chance can see the house on the market for a new
This is the result we get when the cgi artist have proper time and are not rushed
The cockpits of th jeagers in CGI the cockpit doesn't actually have a face in Pacific rim Bloopers
Because its not cgi, its stop motion.
I just love how .each step these jeagers take is heavy enough to leave what I'm assuming is like a six foot deep impressing in the ground. That's weight right there. And the crunching sound is oddly satisfying to hear.
Yeah this movie shows the weight of these giant Jaeger's properly unlike the second which makes them too fast
In a jaeger all terrain is cronchy leaf
@@californian_kid_5002 yeah in the second movie the jaegers looked more like weightless toys
I mean realistically the jaegers wouldn't be able to hold its own weight like that and would immediately sink into the ground to the bedrock, but it doesn't do that because it's cool
And at the same time they do a lot of fun little human movements like when the jaegers avoided the acid at 2:08 and then turns around to check it out lol but at the same time there is a realistic weight to those massive machines that still makes it believable. These two things are just perfectly balanced and I simply love the attention to detail!!! I love this movie so much XD
Let’s be honest, this is what we had in our imagination while playing with action figures as a kid

pacific rim: uprising in a nutshell:
Stop copying comments.
they saved the lives not the city
@PoofyPandaZzz Considering the whole point of the Kaiju is to clear out Humanity, then yeah we can officially say Otachi failed and since there's still a bunch of buildings left, then Gipsy did in fact save the city
***unlike Gipsy avenger & co. coUGh COuGh***

Notice how the light reflects off of the sword tip, totally cool!

this should be the best movie i watched it when i was little and loobvveedd iiiitttt
I love that at 1:16 you can hear its joints groaning as it walks. Really great detail.

Gipsy : You got an organ which throws super dangerous melting acid ?
Everyone: should play safely and stay far from it
*Gipsy dives its hand within the Kaiju's mouth* : Give it to me now!

it would be cool if a little bit of gypsy's hand melted a little when it grabbed the sac cause of the acid

I love how when Otachi starts to fly it doesn’t straight up start flying perfectly it takes a bit longer for it to adjust to the weight
@Nestor Mendez the name they gave the flying titan
@Nestor Mendez this isn’t naruto bruh
Otachi is female
@Nestor Mendez the name is literally in the title lmao
You sound like a movie critic
0:36 the shipbuilder company should use this clip as their promotion stuff. "Our ship is indestructible, see a giant robot use our ship to beat the shit out of a giant kaiju? Even the kaiju tossed our ship almost a mile, & our ship still intact, not breaking apart, this is our quality"
Underrated
Mersk or someone missed the opportunity big time.
Sensational
That… actually makes me want to buy their ships
I was thinking that the ship should totally be sheared in half after the first strike.
Otachi was an *ABSOLUTE UNIT* . Think bout it took hits from Crimson typhoon and Cherno before fighting Gypsy danger and also an Intelligent fighter,Agile,Durable,Acid spit,Claw tail,Flight and doing this while pregnant. Defenitely one of the top kaijus
Agreed
Mf if that big monkey didn’t f her in warp maybe she could have killed gypsy
Didn’t have anything on Striker Eureka though
I mean she was pregnant so that definitely gave her strength.
Looking at 1:17 , how Gisby respects these buildings, unlike the Uprising kids who trying to destroyed any building
Teen -_-
But he doesn’t respect the ship, when he had the sword!
@@saulogomez4572 remember kaiju blood is toxic
Davi Gomes de Pinho Pinho that didn’t stop him of a hand-to-hand fight with the last Kaiju
Saulo Gomez but the boat did more damage or think of it this way what would hurt more punches or being hit by a steel bat and they are trying to kill the Kaiju as quickly as possible so the boat probably would help with that more than fists
2:36 I don't know why I love the way the hand moves, but I freaking love how the hand moves
I love how that little detail shows you that the coolant affected the hand too, but not as bad as the organic tissue of the kaiju
Yeah, reminds me of Optimus Prime
It's basically a "now you are fucked" moment and I love every second of it
i think its because it actually feels like a robot, a big machine
@@altronbee1216 exactly
1:13 - 1:29 You can really tell just how big and heavy these Jaegers are, seeing all the little parts move when it walks etc. Don't get any of that with the sequel
Ikr, its really sad tbh
The little parts do move in uprising. But those jaegers mobe fast whic take away their heaviness. I Still don't like that sequel.
Dude is F**king power rangers but less cool
The icon of sin from doom puts the Kaiju and Jaeger to shame
And the grinding of its parts as it moves.
I love how everyone gave Pacific Rim shit calling it “mindless” and “stupid”. Then the second one came out and suddenly it’s a masterpiece lol.
They took it for granted and then saw how bad it could really get.
No matter how fat your mother's it doesn't count as 'everyone'
The maker(or what ever you call it) of the first film was like “you think this is shit?, I’ll show you what a bad film is actually like” then makes uprising

1:30 "Gipsy this is chopper, we have a visual!"
The other end of that comm we wanted to hear
that's a normal comn right?
I would've been like "Oh, wow, never would've guessed that you saw me. It's so hard to see me in this very dark area."
Gipsy: YEAH NO SHIT !!
That movie has so many mistakes but I still like it because
1) the effects are perfect
2)I really like underwater and night fights
3)The actors arent kids like the other one
4)There is not so much agony in the movie (for me)I hate agony
moments
5)The Kaijus were really hard to destroy (I dont know why I liked that)
Wait there were mistakes?
Yeah I like having kaijus hard because that makes the movie better having the kaijus harder to beat makes the main characters have challenges to overcome
I agree with you especially on number 3
Kaijus are suppose to be unstoppable
5) because the battle lasts longer
1:14 I love how Gypsy stepped over the bridges even though they're creating craters in the ground each time they take a step lol.
It’s common courtesy
I mean if they're basically destroying everything then might aswell save anything that doesn't have to get damaged
Bridges are way more expensive then regular roads
4:05 They’re going to do the superhero landing, wait for it!
[claps hand]
Wooo, superhero landing!
2:40 when your dog is chewing something
Yeah so then you rip out its tongue, freeze and smash its tail and the slice it clean in half in the upper atmosphere

Imagine Guillermo Del Toro directing live action Evangelion movie, but I think this already Evangelion to me
The thing is, Pacific Rim was created to be a homage to all the classic mech, gundam shows of yesteryear.. so in that sense, it already is kinda.
But if they really want people to enjoy it, they need to stay away from Shinji's main story. He's the most frustrating main character I've ever seen.
"Get in the Jaeger Raleigh."🤣
@@hrprreview9046 Evangelion is what is it due to Shingi's depression and the disturbing thing around him.
Imagine actual Angel appearing, even I would breakdown.
Ho Lee fuk
Just realized in this scene, the left arm looks like it has less wear and tear at the beginning and it’s the only one that has the sword as far as I remember. A neat little detail considering that Gypsy Danger lost its left arm in the opening fight but they obviously replaced it when repairing the Jaeger so the newer arm would have more stuff on it.
3:35 this shot was incredible. Like straight out from anime
This shot should have been the movie cover
Del Toro literally confirmed some shots of this movie were inspired by anime
The direction for these CGI sequences was very smart.
*Kaiju:* _Surprise wings_
*Gypsy:* _Surprise sword_
*Kaiju:* 👁️👄👁️
*City:* 👁️👄👁️
Lol
One thing I like about this standard massive city destruction battle is that it wasn't the humans' fault at all. The Jaegers did their absolute best to keep the Kaiju in the water, and when the beasts did move to the city, Gipsy did their absolute best to avoid hitting buildings and the like, it was only Otachi's movements and rage that destroyed them.
1:07 may actually be the best looking and best utilized all-mo scene of all time. It’s gorgeous
1:18 I'm surprised such a huge monster that crackes asphalt manages to hide in silence and there's like, no satellite/heli vision nor support comms to tell them where's the kaiju. Honestly...
A shark can tear its prey to pieces and still manage to hide and sneak up on alert fish, it's the same deal here, plus it's raining and I doubt it'd be easy to hear from inside a jaeger. As for satellite/heli footage, it just wouldn't be practical. A helicopter would just be something Gipsy would need to protect and satellite images would take too long
Edit: I just watched it over and realised they did have helicopters, so my mistake there, but they're clearly not fast enough to keep up with Otachi.
Katoshiku your comparing a shark to a monster 3 or 4 times the size of a whale, At least some noise would be normal
@@noobfare2444 Well these are kaiju specifically being made to counter jaegers, seeing as Otachi is agile it's not that much of a stretch to assume that it would be silent enough to sneak up on Gipsy
Katoshiku i see youve done your home work ಠ_ಠ
My guess would be that the EMP from Leatherback disrupted all the ground surveilance and the clouds from the storm prevented satellite.
I know they had that super advanced 3D tracking thing in their HQ, but HQ was shut down.
So they had to make due with some helicopters for intel.
I can't get the image out of my head:

Alright this is good XD
I just love seeing Gypsy come in dragging a ship like, "you came to the wrong neighborhood"
This is why I say Otachi was the first flying kaiju. If any others appeared before this, the wall would be nothing but a waste
depend on novel, the kaiju named by huoda taken down a special jagar who good at underwater fight ,the pilots said shoot for crimson in 2023.it is first kaiju that can fly.
I love that in this scene. Gyps and his pilots. Take every advantage they get. Especially at 2:14 when they see the acid gland. And realize that if they take that out (literally) that the acid doesn't remain a threat anymore. Yet again proving why I love this movie
i like that otachi tries to roar to intimidate but danger just reaches down its throat and rips out it acid organ like theyre just not gonna wait for anything
“ yes! we saved the city”
the city:
Only 2-3 buildings were destroyed and a boat. So yeah they did save the city...unlike the uprising kids who chucked 7 buildings into a kaiju.
@@atlasthechamp82 at least here they didn't try to destroy the city they only used a container ship as a bat

The colour choice makes it look really realistic. Truly a masterpiece
1:06 scene is one of my favourite. The sound of the machine moving is epic.
the attention to detail as the jeagers fight or even walk is impressive and for a movie that was made in 2013 wow just wow and when this movie came out in theaters I got to watch it as a birthday present

2:07 otachi said “open wide” and gypsy said “ok, lemme get the cavity out”
The most awesome dumb movie ever made👍👍👍👍👍my favorite
The jaegers in part two moves fast as they were fighting Decepticons. Unlike here, jaegers moves as the pilots moves.
Those jeagers are mark 6 if i remember and i think they normally have more speed than the mark 5 jeagers (i think)
I saw this movie 11 years ago in the movie theater, I was exactly 10 year old. And when I see Gippsy approaching with the ship in his hand It's the same amazing feeling, like a kid
I busted out laughing when gypsy showed up within a damn ship in tow.
This fight is pretty much the best argument for why the sequel was considered bad. It had the dark gritty feeling the mech genre often lack, it really had weight to it, which is one of the biggest issues with the sequel.
You can feel the weight and power of Jaegers and that itself makes a huge difference, also it’s a small detail that I like but the Pilots do their best to prevent destruction to the city. It’s unavoidable but they try.
Like you said, The sequel gives the jaegers too much agility while in this move you have feel the steps
still visually the most impressive movie I've ever seen, and I've been watching them since the 80's...

i remembered 96 ago when my sister and i just entered the cinema to watch something that could help us pass some time at the mall because we got really bored. we only ask for a coin but this movie has given us GOLD!!! it was this scene when Gypsy cut through Otachi that everyone in the cinema are standing, screaming and cheering for Gypsy. It was, by far, the most authentic reaction of amazement i’ve seen in a cinema by the viewers for no one would have expected for the movie to be this sooo damn good!!!
Even at 1.75 speed Gipsy Danger still feels slower and grounded than Gipsy Avenger.
Gipsy: "Otachi otachi"
Otachi: "Yes Gipsy?"
Gipsy: "Melting structures?"
Otach: "No Gipsy"
Gipsy: "Open your mouth"
Otachi: "Ha ha oh wait-"

I love that in Pacific Rims alternate universe, instead of humanity developing some kind of Railgun or nerve agent to kill the Kaiju, we gathered the greatest minds of our species for the first time as a unified world so we could develop the technology to throw hands on a collosal scale.
Recoil is the biggest thing to consider if we go upscale. The larger the weapon, the harder it is to contain. The reason why Gipsy's plasma cannon worked is the Jaeger's sense of balance is linked to the pilots, like the strongest soldier holding heavy firearms. It's cheaper to make helicopters with a plasma railgun on it, but it would fly out to space if fired.
Plus, big robots are marketable as the start of the movie mentioned.
Also my favourite movie of all time

Gotta appriciate how at the end scene after standing after that fall you watch the arm and shoulder guard pick back up and re socket. Like the jaeger unloaded all its joints to soak up the fall. Flawless.
