    Something really cool about your channel has been watching your personal growth over the years. I remember in the very tragic video last year you mentioned that you started the channel after the loss of your beloved mother. Upon learning this I can feel that pain in your voice in older videos.
    Particularly over the last year through, after what I can only imagine was rock bottom, Im noticing a change in your voice and energy.
    Stepping away from the formula, more jokes, more varied tone in your voice, and honestly a lot more confidence and serenity.
    Life is strange how we can go through hell and come out more powerful than ever, and Im noticing that resilience more than ever in you now.
    Youre making the videos your way, youre speaking how you wish and youre simply displaying more inner peace now, all while maintaining the nuanced and lifelong-learning relationship with information that makes you such a great communicator for viewers who are at least intermediately saavy in space and science subject matter.
    Personally I'd say you must be among the hardest working youtubers in general, and the information density of your content is consistently unparalleled on the platform.
    Edit furthermore you also do this thing where you start with existing research and then move to the new research

    3:05:11: I'm a big fan of Anton's work and truly appreciate his diverse collection of science videos. I just wanted to clarify a couple of minor points regarding the Many Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of quantum mechanics. The term MWI was coined by Bryce DeWitt in the late 1960s and early ‘70s, not Dr. Everett, who in 1957 referred to his idea as the 'Relative State Formulation.' Additionally, Dr. Everett recognized the significance of quantum waves in the theory of quantum mechanics, but he did not consider them physical in any sense other than their theoretical role. It's also important to note that, as of now, there's no concrete evidence favoring any one interpretation of quantum mechanics over another. Personally, I find Dr. Hugh Everett’s interpretation to be the most elegant and straightforward. I'm hopeful that it might one day receive the evidentiary support it merits, reflecting the respect and acknowledgment that was initially lacking when Dr. Everett proposed his ideas. May the best interpretation prevail! Kudos to Anton for sparking such fascinating discussions and broadening our understanding of complex scientific concepts.

    _They assume a property and become a classical particle._
    The latter is wrong. A particle is always quantum, and it's always in one state.
    However, this state is most probably composed of many _eigenstates_ of a certain observable I'm about to measure. When I do, it switches to being in an eigenstate of this observable which, on the other hand, is a composite of multiple eigenstates of another variable.
    For example, if I measure position, I make it a particle with a certain position but this automatically consists of multiple momentum eigenstates.

    Multiverse is not a physics concept. It's just a pipedream to avoid having to consider a universe that actually has a beginning

    • @JpBrooks412
      @JpBrooks412 7 місяців тому

      Multiverse is not a serious theory right now IMO. However, it absolutely doesn’t imply a universe without a beginning. If anything it just kicks the chicken and egg question down the road a little further. What created the first universe in this proposed multiverse? If we’re going off the “black hole == new universe” concept that would infer a tree like structure with a common root node, or several common root nodes. There is still the question of what causes the initial formation(s).
      When you think about it the idea of a universe with a beginning and one without a beginning are equally terrifying and equally sensible. Our perspective in time is such a short blip there’s no reason to assume it ever began, or that it will ever end… but who knows… Only time will tell. Best to measure the universe with what’s available to us and and give our best guess

      What you think as yourself is a thought process. It is called the fals self, the ego. It is the condition you use as a fabric to wear.

    Quantum world collapsing. I've thought this for a long time now. Something they should think about is the possibility that since another universe could be in a black hole, even though we are in a 3d state of perception we maybe observing that universe in a sort of 4th dimensional state. This in my head should help with the horizon line and why it behaves the way it does as we would be observing all states of the universe at once but also without any light escaping thanks to the density of all the matter in that universe. All of it that ever will be and was is occupying every space it ever has or will at once. Almost like the entire internal space of the black hole is in superposition to us but not to the observer inside as in order to be observed you have to collapse into the 3rd dimension thus the black hole internally observing but not externally observing seems to be the function.

    Alternate universes as connected bubbles is really interesting. To me though, alternate universes have to occupy the same spacetime but where event outcomes differ. The universe where humanity achieves interstellar travel occupies the same spacetime as the one where we don't. Somehow event outcomes are more like a bit turning off or on. Same bit in quantum can be both states at the same time. Eventstates become unit of measurement.
