I think that rather overshadowed her career. It seems to be the only thing she's remembered for. I'm only now discovering how many songs she performed. Many good choices too.
Rosy, won't you please come home, Mama don't know where you've been. Rosy won't you please come home, Your room's clean and no one's in it. Oh, my rosy, how I miss you, You are all the world to me. Take a look and see if you like it, If you like it, please, come back. Rosy, won't you please come home, Since you joined the upper classes You don't know us anymore, Live and let your trouble pass. Rosy, rosy, where are you, tell me, If you don't want to come back. I will sacrifice all I have To have a happy home once more. Rosy, won't you please come home, Two long years have passed away. Since you tried to change your life Christmas wasn't quite the same. Rosy, rosy, got any answers ? You are miles across the sea And I'll bake a cake if you tell me You are on the first plane home. Rosy, won't you please come home, Mama don't know where you've been. Rosy won't you please come home, Your room's clean and no one's in it. Oh, my rosy, how I miss you, You are all the world to me. Take a look and see if you like it, If you like it, please, come home. Rosy.
Her song on 1 of her albums...i think it was called"Marianne Faithful"was the 1st song i ever sang along with as a child.Mom was afraid id be a total square. The LP has a beautiful foto of only her on the cover...im hunting for it cause i want to hear that song again...looks like ill settle for "as Tears Go By" which was also on that one.She was married to Mick Jagger i was told
really nice vid. shows her in many diferent scenarios and a scenario that is belivable if coming from her mother asking her to come back home and get a grip on things.. I'd do the same if she were my daughter.
@crazedwitch2 I don't remember seeing a lot of those pics before, so they're new to me, and if you just slung them together for quickness purposes, then you've done an even better job than I thought.
A moving song for anybody who has a daughter
And for those who didn't know. Rosie was in Australia
Absolutely beautiful version.
God is she beautiful, like an angel!!
Big fan..some of her songs very melancholy
This face - adorable
Beautiful Rosie Rosie
She's got such a great voice and look!!!
I have been fascinated by her since I heard As Tears Go Bye as a child. It was wonderful that Mick Jagger took such a liking to her.
I think that rather overshadowed her career. It seems to be the only thing she's remembered for. I'm only now discovering how many songs she performed. Many good choices too.
A KinKs song. Well done.
'Rosie Won't You Please Come Home', from The Kinks LP 'Face to Face' (1966).
Great tune and fantastic work on the video!
One thing is to have been born in the 60s but quite different is to have enjoy them.
I fall in love with her.How ,when, why I just don't know.
the original done by the kinks was mainly about their sister who moved to austrailia
Rosy, won't you please come home,
Mama don't know where you've been.
Rosy won't you please come home,
Your room's clean and no one's in it.
Oh, my rosy, how I miss you,
You are all the world to me.
Take a look and see if you like it,
If you like it, please, come back.
Rosy, won't you please come home,
Since you joined the upper classes
You don't know us anymore,
Live and let your trouble pass.
Rosy, rosy, where are you, tell me,
If you don't want to come back.
I will sacrifice all I have
To have a happy home once more.
Rosy, won't you please come home,
Two long years have passed away.
Since you tried to change your life
Christmas wasn't quite the same.
Rosy, rosy, got any answers ?
You are miles across the sea
And I'll bake a cake if you tell me
You are on the first plane home.
Rosy, won't you please come home,
Mama don't know where you've been.
Rosy won't you please come home,
Your room's clean and no one's in it.
Oh, my rosy, how I miss you,
You are all the world to me.
Take a look and see if you like it,
If you like it, please, come home.
Rosy.

Où je découvre que Marianne Faithfull a le même visage que mon mari quand il était très adolescent. Il a 70 ans.
Vous aviez attrapé un bon poisson là. Le mieux à vous.
