Good job! Looks great, but please wear a mask next time you work with concrete dust and the dust from that sand. The fine powder will stick to your lungs.
Thanks so much! My husband and I are going to make a small patio in our backyard. You gave us confidence that we can do it!
Awesome! Thank you!!! You guys got this it's really easy hardest part us lugging the 80lb bags lol! Have a great summer and enjoy your new patio!😉😊
Amazing walkway. Years ago, my late husband and I used the use cement form, to make all our sidewalks, on our half acre property.
We use the same form for our courtyard to.
Our neighbors were so surprised to see the finished landscaping as well. Yep, I mixed the cement in our own mixed, did grouting on a hundred and twenty foot block wall. Also, I was the one to form up projects, set up and removal all the wood forms.
When all is said and done, it’s wonderful to see your hard work completed. At that time, our teenage son learned about landscaping, cementing, patios and walkways. Nice to involve your family.
Our future is continuity teaching our children and grandchildren. Today my sons home and yard is well maintained.
Definitely love it! Thank you so much for sharing and thank you for watching!👍😊❤
The tabs on the side of the forms can easily be cut off to allow for closer placement of the forms.
Great Idea!!! I'm gonna cut mine off now!😆 That way I can save on the filler! Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
I heard on another video, u are suppose to rotate them or else the pattern will look same.
There is nothing more gratifying than doing something by ourselves; the walkway and steps will always be part of your history even if professionals could have done it better, I am not professional but your project looks terrific!
Definitely!!!! Thank you so much and thank you for watching!👍😊
No one should be laughing, that looks GREAT!!!👊🏽
Awesome thank you so much! We are definitely happy how it came out and the fact we did it ourselves makes it that much better to us! Thank you for watching!👍👍👍😊🍻
If this was my project I definitely would have my kids helping me! Teach them responsibilities and hard work for their future.
Definitely! Unfortunately our kids were in school during this project lol thanks for watching!👍😁
Love this! In the process of using this technique for my backyard walkway. Great job!
Thank you! Hardest part is just moving around the 80lbs of Cement lol good luck and thank you for watching!😊
Wow what an amazing job! What i love the most is that you include the family in the project (just like me) P.S. the finish walk was nice. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!!! We appreciate that! Thank you for watching and have a great summer!❤️👍
I like the steps! I haven't seen anyone do that yet!
Awesome! Thank you! Yeah we gave it a try and it came out looking great at least to us and functional so we called it a win! Lol thank you so much for watching!😊👍
It looks very professional!!!!! Awesome Job. You should do another larger square slab at the bottom of the last step. I’m going to try this .
Awesome!! Thank you so much we are very happy with it, and it made it through the winter with no cracks and still looks great! Send us some pictures to our email👍👍 Thank you for watching!😊
I did a similar job. It's not easy whatsoever. Excellent job.
We appreciate that!! Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
That goat made me laugh so hard. You guys don’t have to buy a shredder that cute goat do it for you.😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
🤣😂 Absolutely they eat everything lol Thank you for watching!👍😊
You all did great! It looks beautiful
❤ thank you so much and thank you for watching!👍😊
Wear N95 masks when working around Cement, Sand and any power saws when wood working to keep from inhaling all those particles into your lungs because that stuff will Forever stay on your lungs. I would have left the would frame support on your steps, but stained them for posterity. Otherwise, I thought it turned out beautiful. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
Yeah masks would definitely be a good idea! Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
We have a great filter system built in, masks are worse for us 👍 y'all did great, love it! My hubby and I did a sidewalk today
That's awesome!! Thank you for watching!😊
Looks beautiful. But I wouldn't want to shovel it in winter. A powered snow brush maybe.
Hahahhaha I'm gonna put the kids to work shoveling it, they are my powered snow Brushes!😂 Thank you for watching!😁👍
I'd like to see what it looks like now, please!
Honestly it looks the same ,we really love how it came out!!!! Thank you for watching!
Awesome job guys looks great
Thank you so much and thank you for watching!👍😊
Wow, that looks fantastic!
Thank you it was a fun project and we learned alot!👍😊
Amazing job 💯. Thanks 👍
Awesome! thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
Awesome job!!!
Thank you and thank you for watching!😊
That turned out AWESOME, whats next?
Lol thank you so much! Probably gonna do around the fire pit and around a new flag pole! Thank you for watching!👍😊
Chikin is trying to have a dust bath on your walkway lol
Lol yeah! Our chickens get into everything!! Lol
Check out Video 1 and 2 as well this video is the Finished video!
Did the grout hold up over time. I poured my walkmaker walk30 years ago and never grouted it. Looking at doing it now.
Yes so far so good, it's been a couple years but only time will tell! We are definitely happy, thank you for watching and good luck!👍😊
Great job looks awesome 👏!
Thank you! It's a great feeling getting it all done and being able to use it, it was definitely a learning experience and we had fun! Thank you for watching!😁👍
Would this style pour, the individual "stones", with the fill sand between be strong enough to form a driveway?
I've been asked that before and honestly I dont think its thick enough for heavy vehicles, it would look really awesome but just dont think it would last! Thank you for watching!👍😊
@@WhitehouseFarmVet Thanks for the fast reply
Anytime! 👍😊
Looks Great.
Awesome thank you so much and thank you for watching!👍😊
Looks beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much we really do love how it came out and its already been through its first winter and no broken or uneven pieces, it still looks good, so we are definitely happy with it!👍❤😊
Hi you guys are a team ❤😊
❤️💯 Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
How does it look Today? This was 2 years ago. Would like to see it now if you can.
Looks the same and works Great! Definite glad we did this!! you can email me I can snap some pictures! Thanks for watching!😊
Yes please update pics would be great
I'm thinking I'll do a youtube short so you can see how great it's held up over the past couple years!!!
Omg you did SOOOOOO GOOD!!
Ok, now I’m motivated to get back to my own patio project!🦾
Awesome! Good luck and thank you for watching!😊
After the sand how uneven is it? contemplating making a dual garden path that kids can ride power wheels and bikes on but don't know if this would be too bumpy of a ride
We tamped it if you watch the first 2 videos and it stayed pretty even, power wheels on the other hand might be a little too bumpy for them lol but there are different forms not just country Cobblestone!😊 thank you for watching!👍😁
Nice job!❤
Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
I think it's been over a year. How has it held up? Any tips on dos & donts? Much appreciated watching and learning. Thank you. 😊
Going on 2 years it's held up great we love it! It's really simple too once you get going good luck and thank you for watching!👍😊
Looks great!
Thank you! My wife and I actually had alot of fun doing this! Thank you for watching!👍😊
Awesome❤❤❤❤
Thank you and thank you for watching!😊
How many bags of polymeric sand did you use for the entire walkway? I'm doing a similar project and am trying to calculate how many molds one bag of polymeric sand can cover.
Roughly 3 and a half bags, this stuff worked great! Thank you for watching and good luck!👍😊
Great job!!!!!!!
Thank you we appreciate that! And thank you for watching!👍❤
looks great!
Thank you! we definitely were happy with the final product and we had fun making it! Thank you for watching!👍😁
I love the way this looks, in all how long did it take to lay this and also cost if you don't mind me asking lol..can any one lay this and do you have any tips on laying 😊 thanks for sharing
Yes anyone can do this, my wife and I did sections over a couple days just because we had other stuff going on and that's the great thing about this you can pick up were you left off! I would say if we had a full day without interruptions you could knock it out and we had roughly 40 bags at 5 bucks a piece, and if you wanted coloring its 7 bucks a bottle for every 2 80lb bags so $340.00 plus 70 for the 2 frames, and 50 for the crack filler bags so roughly 460.00 for everything, it's really simple to lay you literally make the cement, pour it in the frame and then remove the frame and keep pouring!
Thank you for watching!and good luck!👍😊
Great Video! how did you build the wood mold for the stairs?
Thank you, we used the rebar with the holes to put screws through in the wood for support and kept it 2ft wide by 3 feet long, we did if I can remember 6 inch step leveled out the first 3x2 pad then dug and made another etc until we touched ground we leveled as we went ,it was a process but really not hard at all, because the steps were thicker we added wire in the concrete for support, basically we pictured how we wanted it in our heads and went with it and I think it came out great for novices lol, thanks for watching!😊
@@WhitehouseFarmVet Yes- It came out great. ok - I see now. 2'wx3'L then level, eyeball, dug then drop 6", Dug, Repeat, Dug, Repeat. Thank you..
Great job
Thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
How many bags did u use?
Roughly about 40 bags! Thank you for watching!👍😊
How far down did you dig and removed dirt to lay cement ?
I used a sod cutter it went 3 inches down to remove all the organic material then weed block on top I do have a part 1 and part 2 video that shows the whole process, thank you for watching!👍😊
That was awesome
Thank you we appreciate it! Was alot of work but had fun doing it! Thank you for watching!👍😁
Good job guys
AWESOME! Thank you so much and thank you for watching!!😊👍
@WHITEHOUSE FARM i noticed at 1st video you poured the cement into the molds but when you did the steps you stamped it. It was eazier to just stamp it right?
Yes definitely easier! We weren't sure how to pour the steps and decided to just pour and then stamp it, and it came out great! Definitely easier! Thanks for watching!😊👍
Good Job, what was the total cost?
Around 200 for Cement and another 200 roughly for forms, filler ,color, etc
You guys rock! Lol, no pun intended.
Thank you 😂 We appreciate your support!❤ And thank you for watching!👍😁
Did you lay 2 Forms next to each other? If you did that accounts for the double gap between molds.
Yes that was actually in the previous 2 videos, unfortunately unless you are doing just a single row you will have the gaps, thank you for watching!👍
He literally said that in the first minute of the video.🤦♂️ that’s pretty piss poor listening comprehension.
Super legit wow
Awesome thank you and thank you for watching!👍😊
Beautiful!! I would like to try this…If you don’t mind answering, where May I purchase the frames?
If you go to my description for this video there is a link to purchase them, thank you for watching!👍😊
amzn.to/2ZlrXKR
Is there any way to make curves using this method?
Yes the way I rounded coming off of the steps, you just leave out blocks to make a smooth curve! Good luck and thank you for watching!
The frame on the steps are they 2x4 or 2x6's ?
We did 2x6 because of the incline! Thanks for watching!
lol chickens act like cats ; curiosity!
Yes they do lol, thank you for watching!👍😊
What type of concrete did you used for this project?
Just regular quikrete yellow 80lb bags! Thank you for watching!👍😊
Sorry to say I don't like it. The stones looking well, however I don't like the connection between the lawn and the stones. To keep it nice and tidy, you have much more work. But foran amateur, not bad
To each there own we basically built it to keep the kids feet dry before going to school lol and came out perfect for what we needed! Thanks for watching!👍
Did you have any problem not edging/curbing it?
Did you mean curving the corner?
Good job 👏 can you say is that cement you put in the spaces
Its polymeric sand and after you spray it, it hardens like cement! Thank you for watching!👍😁
How’s it looking now after a half year or so of settling?
Awesome still the same I was worried I might have some movement over the winter or cracking, but nothing!!! Stayed in tact and looks great! we are doing more around the fireplace and other places really simple! Thank you for watching!👍😊
@@WhitehouseFarmVet well it’s a great job for DIY. Be proud.
We are! we love how it turned out and the wife and I had fun doing it, not to mention saved a ton of money on trying to have someone come in and pour a sidewalk! Definitely worth it! Did you see the first 2 videos on it I tried to go through the process we did hopefully you can improve on what we did or learn something! Thanks again! 👍
Can you make an update video?
Absolutely! That's a great idea!! I can tell you now it's held up great and still looks good, kids use it everyday to get to the bus no more wet sneakers from the grass and snow!😂 Thank you for watching!👍😊
Do you have floring panels on your steps?
We used wood to frame it out, but it's all cement!
@@WhitehouseFarmVet question was about the stairs
Lol gotcha it's composite decking, I wanted it to last less maintenance than traditional pressure treat! Thanks for watching!😊

what would you say the average price is per foot or section?
5 bucks for 80lb bag of quikrete does 1 form 2ftx2ft, thanks for watching!👍
@@WhitehouseFarmVet thanks for the reply!
Anytime!👍😊
@@WhitehouseFarmVet , Thanks for the video , it really give me a courage to do the driveway , thinking of doing it by myself and safe 💰. Thanks for good 👍 tutorial. 🙏 😊
Thank you! I would double check the strength if it can support vehicles ours is just the sidewalk but works well not sure on the strength for a driveway, good luck and thank you for watching!👍😊
🔥🔥🔥
😊thanks for watching!👍

Cut the tabs off the forms….
Good idea!!!👍 thanks for watching!
The tabs are there to level the form with the previous pour. They should not be used 2 at a time if you want a consistent and seamless gap.
Those kids would appreciate it more if they actually helped.
Oh they do! check out the other videos they do everything from the farm animals to working on cars! Lol
How are people supposed to use a walkway with up to six inch gap? Do you realize that someone in high heels could be seriously hurt if the heel catches in one of those gaps? Do you realize that anyone in any type of shoe who hits that gap on the corner of their heel is going to be hurt? Footpaths have to be flat and even because people need stability. It may look cool, but that path is really dangerous.
I had the same concerns! but If you watch the whole video the answer is to fill the gaps with the cement dust concrete!
If your shoes kill you on this walkway, you should have bought actual shoes. So ridiculous.
😂👍thanks for watching!
People have so much criticism!!..most women wear comfortable shoes these days with young children,,🙄 use the front door if you must 😁
👍😊 Thank you for watching! Have a great summer!👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome job!
Thank you we appreciate it, and thank you for watching!👍😊
