Hello guys! After the passing of my dad Nov 13th 2024, I really don't have much of an appetite, but after seeing this awesome video, it makes me want to try your recipe and eat a little bit more. So glad I came across your video of these beautiful chicken thighs. Merry Christmas to all of you.
The butter/agave/cider vinegar mop is a nice touch. But I prefer to use hot bbq sauce and dip the chicken with tongs to get more even application. Looks delicious!
I love how "Competition" is now a grade of how everybody categorizes their food now. Like a few years ago, everybody went for "The BEST [...] in the World" but now its "Our Competition Brisket" and they basically just smoke a brisket like everybody does. Chicken Thighs look good though, thanks for the recipe.

Boneless would be my preferred chicken thigh’s as when you bite in there’s that gristle, cartilage at the bottom which makes me feel sick. However, great recipe guy’s, that’s gonna taste great 👍
It’s a little more work but if you remove the skin and use a knife to scrape the fat off from the back side of the skin you can still replace it and tuck it. End result will be then bite thru skin.
Question, How do you win a COMPITION when you use a premixed spice? I would love to go up against some one to make these. Note I do , do the butter trick thats a must, but I use my own mixture of seasoning.
