I relate with you. Finding the job that you love is the most exciting thing. I look forward to quiting teaching to. I opened up an online school so that I can teach freely and happily.
Thanks for watching! I've always used tech in the classroom and worked to find ways to combine education and technology. I left teaching without much of a backup plan or any idea of how to move forward. So I started teaching online for an online private school and slowly started writing content for them. I didn't have any formal HTML or CSS training, but did my best with what I had. I fell in love with it and started qualifying myself a bit more. As I got better at it, I eventually gave up the online teaching role and now develop educational content full time! It's really cool to be able to still do something in education but lean into something else that I super passionate about!
@@JoyfulThroughItAll You ever think about doing some web dev tutorials? I know there is alot of web dev content out there already, but you may have something special to bring to the space.
@@SlugSage I've thought about it, and even made a few videos! But priority #1 at the moment is growing the Joyful Through It All blog. I'll tack this on the ol' dream board!
Do you love your job? What is your dream job? What strengths do you have to help you get there?

Congrats on the transition! It sounds like you have found a way to still use your passions to keep yourself engaged in your work!

Great video! How did you transition from teaching to web development?

SO what is this online school you teach now?
It is a fully remote online school, but I don't actually teach at all anymore. I am a web developer that builds their online content.
