As much as I am a movie collector, in terms of character interpretations. I think the comic version does scream Gorr the god the butcher to me compared to the MCU version. Christian Bale definitely killed this role as Gorr, I do wish he had more screen time. It’s a shame he didn’t get enough screen time.
We’ll of course the comic is going to be more accurate to the true representation of any character. Unless the character is as created first in the movies or shows

At $30 this figure is a huge pass for me. As much as I want it I’m choosing to vote with my wallet these days and this thing is not worth a “premium” or “deluxe” price tag.
Also, Molten Man from the Spider-Man Amazon exclusive 5 pack should've been on the Grim Reaper/Namor body mold because Molten Man does have those scaly looking trunks like Namor does from the comics.
I have no knowledge of the comic version of the character and my only point of reference is the MCU version but I really like the look of the figure. If I hadn't known that he isn't scaled properly or had the wrong feet I would not have cared. Price point is my only hang up. He's priced like a deluxe and he doesn't even come with a BAF piece so he isn't even worth the price of a basic figure. With only new hands, new feet, 2 heads and a sword for tooling expense, minimal paint apps, this price gouging by Hasbro has got to stop.
Yes the necroswords are supposed to be the same one. Thor fights Gorr at 3 points in time. Once before he was worthy as a young man, then as a man, and lastly as old man Thor (the Odin BAF alternate). The Thor with the destroyer arm is also from the Aaron run but after the Gorr arc. Also I love dumbbell joints. Better than disc imo. HOWEVER, Hasbro sucks at dumbbell joints with legends. A decent disc is better than a shit dumbbell.

Movie Gorr doesn't get to butcher enough gods to really earn the title despite being a solid character. Visually, it's nice to have sympathetic villains who don't look like normal humans but with a skin condition. Honestly he may have need the movie Venom body. Thor's fight with Gorr is what led to him becoming unworthy which further led to him losing his arm. Gorr was "long" dead by the time Thor got his arm chopped off. This is one of those figures that you know Hasbro isn't going to make often, so it would have been nice to get it right the fight time and really have it look amazing. It's not like a generic Skrull or Shield Agent.
You put it perfectly by calling this figure okay, there's things I like about it but there are some fairly distracting parts. I don't mind the feet and hand inaccuracies, but to me the torso and shoulder area looks awkward because of that new upper torso being so small and compact, I wish the the sculpt in that area flowed into the shoulders better. The head sculpts I love, but I wish they found a way for the hooded head to have range since he's a very expressive character in the comics with his movements, and when all it can do is swivel it bums me out. I was very excited for this figure, I liked what we got with Christian Bale's version, which got me to read the comic and I liked that version even more, but overall it just feels like a figure that isn't that great for dynamic poses, but also looks awkward in a regular stance.
I could be wrong, But...... Maybe he should've been on the SONY Venom movie body mold but to be honest, Gorr does look strong, tough, scary, threatening as the God Butcher, really hope I get a chance to get him because we all have been begging Hasbro to make a comic version after Thor Love and Thunder movie came out, Awesome review on Gorr the God Butcher overall Shartimus.
i might be wrong and if i am others will correct me... but i believe the time line is: gorr fights young thor back in norse times and thor beats gorr and he is believed dead, then he returns present day (2012 i believe it was written) and modern thor has to call on both young and all-father versions of himself to help him defeat gorr. then we have jane foster thor and unworthy thor (basically the rest of jason aaron's run on thor up to 2019 culminating in the war of the realms) then in the far distant future all-black passes from ( think galactus) to ego to loki or who ever and ends up with loki (this is billions fo years in the futre btw. loki then resurrects gorr and all-father thor then has to fight and finaly defeat gorr one last time.

The face is Zym from the Jedi Starfighter game. Would be an easy custom. Think Kit Fisto’s species with that exact face dressed as a mercenary. It’s possible Zym was borrowed from this guy.

There is more than just the God Butcher series comic Gorr is confronted in the end by 3 versions of Thor and his granddaughters and Loki!!! All Father Thor and Loki fight Gorr in the very end as Loki finds the All Black in Ego which holds the essence of Gorr when he returns! Do some more research!
It looks like a cheap plastic kids toy but it costs the price of an adult collectible, yet it can’t even stay accurate to the source material with his size and reverse ankle feet. Dark Age of Hasbro

If the feet were right he'd be good enough on size. Theres not really a good option for his height and leanness and I wouldn't expect Amazon to get a totally new mold. The neck is god awful but if the feet were correct or had Beast style articulation I could have let it slide. I really wanted Ghorr and this hella disappointing
