Bianca wasn't even a villain or bully, she was a rival
I am confused, wasn't her race a Siren, not African American?
@@verisesev7730 Exactly!
Crazy how when I watched it, my brain never once thought "the bully is black"
Ikr its bullshit! N theyre friends by like episode 4 so whats the problem? N none of the ACTUAL villains r black
Hell, not even half of the bullies/antagonists/villains were black! Most were white! And the two black bullies showed growth and redemption. Utterly ridiculous.
Really?? I didn’t
Same. I just remember wondering why they made her wear weird contacts.. and then understood later that it was a trait of a siren. But race never crossed my mind.
Me neither.
Biancas grows to have so much depth. Shes a strong female character. She never "bullies" anyone.
She bullies that one kid in the fencing class in the first episode. Her "bullying" it pretty tame the other 7 episodes though.
@@JDeppFan2272she just called him lazy for loosing against her, that’s not even bullying.. and then till like episode 4 she was portrayed as jealous and that’s it. the real bullies were two white guys who were friends of the mayor son, those were real bullies.
@@heyhey-zv7bx Most people today don't know what bullying actually is. When I was in elementary school in the 80's there was this group of about 5 boys about 4 years older than me that would ambush me on the way home from school and beat the shit out of me. That's bullying.
I was bullied by an Indian girl when I was in primary school, we were like both 5, not once did we mention each others skin colours, we just thought our dad's were better than each other lol
so whos dad was better?
My mom is middle eastern and worked as a truck driver in Georgia for years and was severely bullied by so many black people at those jobs. Two people on two separate occasions tried to attack her, one of them with a knife. Now I should also mention that there were also other black people at those jobs that stood up for my mom against those bullies. So any person no matter what race can be a bully and can also be a kind person. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
I was about to say 😂
Growing up the only kids at my schools I ever saw bully people were black kids and they always did it in groups so no one could fight back. When they were by themselves they were all spineless cowards.
Sorry for what happened to your mom. You spitting though. Anyone regardless of race can be a bully.
As a white kid growing up in Georgia in an almost all black school system, I can tell you I was bullied constantly. The idea that black people are incapable or even not likely to bully is flying in the face of reality. It's like people have their eyes, ears, and minds closed.
Yeah the only racism I've dealt with was by black people too including being attacked. I've been bullied in school by hispanics too but it was worse by black kids
Also, they want Enid and Wednesday to be a teen lesbian couple not just friends. Outrage never ends.
You mean the critics? Because if so, I’m not surprised.
Who? Why? Ughh
Yea… fanbases can get crazy
Yeah that's just irritating. They are always trying to push for lesbian or gay relationships. I guess they want to ruin our favorite characters so bad.
Ewwwww
I'm black, and have experienced bullying from different ethnic groups but especially so from my own and other black races. So seeing a black person portray a bully in a show is absolutely believable.
The relationship with Bianca's mother explained so much. She worked so hard to build her own identity in the school, to grow her power, and create strong friendships. Her mother was intimidated by that and wanted to stomp her down and bring her daughter back into the siren cult. Bianca put her and Wednesday's differences aside and together they saved the school.
Seems like these critics were too brain dead to make that obvious connection
And Bianca is BEAUTIFUL! I mean she has flawless skin, and glows on camera... She must use Nimi skin care routine.
I know right she isn’t a villain she is just a teen in her rebellious/ confused state because of her mother and she helps Wednesday in the end, it’s like a classic mean girl in high school over time learns about value of friendship coming of age story, if anything I was happy they are changing the narrative on black characters , also this whole argument of making POC look good or bad Wednesday is not white.
Yes this !!! She literally helped Wednesday at the end , I’d barely call her a bully she was a competitive with Wednesday and she had other issues going on , she had character background !
@@Kingonadsshe’s got the best looks of any of the characters. Her eyeshadow looks and dresses are insane.
You know, as an artist, there’s nothing that annoys me more than people who judge a work of art without interacting with it first.

@@stephenthomas1492 Honestly, I’m guilty of that myself.
Tim burton is definitely old school, he cast people based off their talents, nothing else
Well, unless he wants to kill his wife in a movie, that's when just calls Johnny Depp
"Old school" would not be the right word. I think the term you're looking for is "someone with common sense."
@@FN_360 to be honest, seeing how far off the rails society has gotten, perhaps common sense might be considered “old school” at this point, unfortunately
then what is he "suppose to" cast people off of. looks? dont be ridiculous.
To be fair, the male black actor was terrible at acting
**Don't read this if you haven't seen Wednesday and don't want spoilers!**
Honestly, the way they set up the series was fairly "woke". They throw around words like "patriarchy" and "mansplaining" within the first episode (and there are plenty more "woke" tropes throughout the show). They cast Bianca (the black actress "bully") in that light because before Wednesday comes to Nevermore, Bianca is the top of the class. She's one of the smartest students, one of the wealthiest students, one of the most popular, has enviable abilities and just broke up with the "it boy" of the school. When her ex starts noticing Wednesday, she takes offense to this and does what any stressed out teen girl would do in that situation: Become jealous and act on her jealousy. In the end, she bonds with Wednesday and becomes one of the heroes of the entire story. So, it's reeeeeally stupid for people to latch onto this "bully" crap.
i only watched the show because A my wife likes tim burton movies and spooky themes and B the woke mob complaint about it .. ive also seen those same every now and then woke word and phrase thrown in .. but it felt not forced because wednesday seemed more fed up and in the idgaf mode , the only times it felt a bit out of touch was for example when Brienne of Tart said 'oh i never asked what she identified as"talking about the Hyde in her Year .. and the two moms of the bee kid .. but i and my wife had the same thought and said to eachother .. you know what .. it doesnt bother me because .. and she finished ..because that explains why he is like that .. a loser who is in need of a masculine figure and would benefit with a father in the home to teach him how to be a man .. idk if it was on purpose to show the woke mob what they want to see .. the surface .. here two lesbians raising a kid , the all nice little boy .. that deep down only proves what conservatives have been saying about lack of masulinity and psychological trauma ..
Yeah I also noticed the woke parts of the show and it kinda lowered my likeness to the show. I thought the show gained many audience because it's not woke but I guess normies made it big.
Bianca wasn't even a bad character, she's almost like the Draco in Harry Potter and people love him.
People love Draco because they find the actor attractive. I can't stand the character, he's goes from a whiny spoiled brat and mildly racist bully whose main threat is "My father will hear about this!" to a more grown version of a whiny and cowardly version of that. I understand his conflict was that he didn't want to kill Dumbledore so he does has redeeming qualities, but to me it stands out that he still doesn't have the courage to do what's right, and he's too weak for a good villain/antagonist, so what's left is a cowardly teen willing to follow orders just to save his butt.
The fact that the character is so popular, particularly with the hormonal teenager demographic, in spite of everything else makes it worst, in my opinion.
@@lebrilopejackalope5775 I think people want to like draco because they wanted a more complex character. like the deleted scenes in the movie where he throws Harry his wand to defeat voldemort.
Draco? Draco a winey racist self absorbed shithead. We love him because he gets his ass handed to him constantly but the character himself is unbearable
As a matter of fact, there are more white bullies than black bullies in that series. Just saying.
I really liked Bianca. Maybe the first few times you see her on the show you could think she's a jerk, but the further through the series you get the more respect you have for her. I'd watch season two just to see where her storyline goes.
When I watched it I never thought of “the bullies are black”. The series is great and the two black characters are not even antagonistic or villains, they became good at the end to take down the bad guy. Also every black person is not perfect saint, no one is, we are human. There are good people and there are bad people no matter what race or religion etc. everyone is capable of being evil and capable of being good
Exactly, i 100% agree. Stop making everything about race.
No, sorry can't have that, it is ONLY us white that are evil satanic devils from the pits of hell and all blacks are the very ANGELS of God himself, How can you not know this.
@@tulsajesusfreak489 The video is about race....you should talk to her about that 🤣 she brought it up
Bullies come in all colors! Lol quit being racist stupid people
@alansnow1129 Lie. You will not drag us magenta colored folk into this bs you other colors have going on.
The whole complaint falls apart when you realize that they auditioned for the role.
It's funny because the black girl wasn't even a bully, she was just kinda sparky at the beginning but like half say through the show she started helping out and bring nice. She's one of my favourite characters.
People wanna be treated equally until they're treated equally
Director: “Congratulations sir, you did such a good job that you get the role as the bully!”
Media: “Thats so racist it’s because he’s black isn’t it!”
For real it’s so dumb it’s not like they said this is the role you have to play people forget that people audition for the role there for they wanted the “ bully “ part they could have auditioned any part they wanted
As someone who has acted in the past, the villains are the BEST roles to play! I think that a lot of these people just want to complain to complain. And why not? Far too many people pander to them and they get that attention they so desperately crave.
Brett’s transitions to her sponsorships are flawless. No one can convince me other wise
Her big brother thought her well.
I laugh every time
Otherwise
Brett's ability to seamlessly segway into a sponsor add always gets me. Only creator who can do it so well in my opinion. Love it.
Big will can do it also
And mandjtv
Thoughty2 does it well.
Yeah, that was impressive
Michael Knowles is pretty good at it.
Saw the show, it's actually decent. The bullies actually have a character arc that works well enough and it's nice seeing that.
When I watched the show, Brianca was portrayed as the “it” girl. So she was seen as the most popular girl in school. She had a snarky toughness but also had a ton of scenes that balanced out her character and made her likable.
but thats against the lefts narrative.... you know this isnt how this works :P
I agree she was gritty and a bit rough but not an unappealing character. Felt like the skin color of both characters was not a relevant issue, rather their growth as characters was the relevant issue.
I'm black and I absolutely love this series...and the "bully" I feel played her part to a tee and not only that but don't in the end she end up helping the group and proving she has higher morals than originally thought? Jw what I watched at least.
Yeah she did. She literally saved Wednesday from the pilgrim, which gave Wednesday the opening she needed to defeat him. So yeah she went from get out of this school, to I'm going to help you save the school.
Exactly its like the media watched the first episode and went, "Oh its racist we can stop." I think Bianca Barclay's character was really well done and she ended up being a nicer person at the end.
plus neither play the stereotypical dumb bully you see in most movies was quite refreshing to see a bully have a arc.
That’s because you actually watched it. Most woke whiners don’t actually ever see the thing they complain about.
She basically wants to low key be Wednesday's bestie by the third episode.
Not going to lie, aside from the subtle bits of wokeness that’s sprinkled throughout the show it’s really freaking good. Wednesdays character is just priceless!
The fishing scene actually made me laugh out loud.
They weren't subtle. 🙄

Agreed. The Mrs put it on and I rolled my eyes but actually enjoyed it. Some genuinely funny moments.
@@incurabletrickster1191 they were subtle for sure. Only thing is eugenes lesbian mothers who are in like 2 scenes and a couple lines here and there. Other than that it was good
After watching the show I thought to myself, "woke mob is definitely going to make an issue out of this." The sad part is, if you're ACTUALLY WATCHING the show, you'll see characters like Bianca and Lucas have arcs that are relatable- they start in one place, make mistakes, and learn, and you find yourself rooting for them because you begin to see the potential to grow- they are characters that reflect an inner turmoil caused by the pressures of peers or parents and learn to find courage in doing things differently because they want to be better. .....What could be more relatable and empowering than that?
Each time I saw Joy Sunday's character I was like, "wow, she plays this role so well!" THAT is why Burton picked her. Because she could successfully tell a powerful, believable story despite not even being the protagonist. Someone who yells "racism!" to this is someone who IMMEDIATELY sees race and NOTHING ELSE- not the growth, not the inner struggles, not the heart, and therefore missing the redemption story. It must be exhausting to see the world through such distorted lenses all the time.
No one asked for an essay.

Spoiler: The female black bully ends up helping Wednesday and solving/destroying the enemies.
Overall "Wednesday" was quite diverse without it being over the top. Just goes to show the Left while always find flaws.
I actually really loved that show, which pleasantly surprised me in this woke age. Bianca is a very complex character, and she goes through a lot of growth. I think it's dangerous to tell a group of people that they have to be perfect. Instead, bianca shows you can improve yourself, even if you come from a challenging background. It's great!
The two characters they are complaining about have the most interesting story arcs. I can't wait for season 2 to see more of them.
Growing up, I had bullies of all colours (and ages).
I got dunked on, but diversely
The rainbow of trauma, whether it be black, asian, gay or lesbian. Diversity is important and my bullies were diverse.

I know right? It’s crazy the world is now
Next to Cobra Kai, Wednesday was the best Netflix production yet! Tim Burton is a master at the gothic look, the dialogue and Wednesday’s psychopathic humor is perfect, the characters were complex, AND the mystery had plenty of twists and turns to make you wonder who the real bad guys are.
If it wasn't Netflix's #1 show they probably wouldn't even be talking about it.
That’s how Tim burton always has done with his films, lots of irony.
Exactly he's a master at the gothic style and a lot of gothic media has pale white skinned characters it's not him being racist he just has a style and picks actors that suit it
Ahem, the sandman was a beautiful show.
Soo true
The show isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Woke wise, I mean. There are some throwaway lines of Eugene having two moms, but they don't really do anything to the plot and can easily be overlooked. I binged the whole first season last sunday and I am obsessed. Specifically with Wednesday and Enid's friendship and Thing.
Ya jennas woke lines were delivered in the deadpan style of wednesday, and it made the lines sound more funny than anything. Like the woke lines were almost sarcastic
People will cry about anything and at this point I'll gladly watch them mentally break down 🍿

*Right?! I seriously CANNOT FATHOM being such a HUGE ❄️❄️ in which EVERY damn thing offends me!*
*I am just curious as to how these MENTAL MIDGETS have such THIN SKIN?!*
The problem is people keep pandering to them when they complain. You can't feed a stray cat and complain they keep meowing at your door.
This series is insanely good - and my genuine feeling is they have not gone woke, but given enough diversity to be inclusive. The argument about bullies and races is always flawed, it seems to these SJW will complain NO MATTER which race plays the good guys and which plays the bad guys (As if it's ever that simple anyhow)
The show is really really awesome! It does have some woke moments(I mean come on it’s Nitflix we’re talking about) but it is really well made! I think after Sabrina this is their best horror/drama series
Tim Burton is great.
As an Asian, everytime I'm watching Netflix now I have to initially pray "PLEASE GOD PLEASE DON'T BE WOKE, NO DIVERSITY BS". And upon meeting Bianca for the first time I was like "WHAT, THE BULLY IS BLACK? THEY'RE GONNA RECEIVE DEATH THREATS FOR THIS"
And look how it goes!
It's one of the best shows i've watched in a long time, it brought me back to the time where everyone was acting normal
That what i thought. Like i watched it and thought "this is normal"
Its really cute and I loved it. Its made the whole addams family a bit more warm in my opinion than previous versions. And some people commented that Mortitia needed to be more classically cold. But I liked it. And it ended up giving said black characters actually great redemption and development arc for the next season! They are no bullies, they were shown as tough and complicated.
Wednesday was incredible, I'm looking forward to season 2, hope he don't let his art get corrupted by outside critics.

I like the series very much, and Jenna Ortega is a great actress, i don't know what kind of person she is, but she does her job.
I like her a lot. She proved she had a lot of talent when she was in season two of "You"
She's a big advocate for planned parenthood and a few years ago was very anti trump.. I'm not sure if her views have changed any since then, since she was a teenager at the time the trump stuff was going on. Regardless, I still like her as a person. I've had this conversation PLENTY of times. It always ends with, 'well, white people deserve it for past transgressions'. That's how I know it's a fool's game to pander to them. They're NEVER going to stop and NEVER going stop seeing the world through a racial lens.

Brett, you have to watch it. My family and I all loved the show. 10/10
I really loved Wednesday, how she and the show as a whole seemed to challenge the mindless narrative of woke without directly taking a side, more like opening the door for further discussion and thought. And they had quotas to fill but the characters felt human and real instead of a token cardboard cutout propped up on spite and defiance. His moms were so sweet and caring I didn’t need to take the obligatory eye roll at token character placement. The Addams family was made to be contrary to the boring cookie cutter norm and be violently loving and cunningly competent. They are proud to be weird and I love it.
Oh they definitely take a side. They're just hamstrung by thr premise of the Addam's Family being about a macabre, traditional aristocratic family so you get a weird mesh of old fashion and progressive
wednesday was one of the best shows i have ever watched, and i hate fantasy. i also have a friend whos father was one of the producers and i can confirm atleast he is nothing close to racist. its sad to see people turning anything exciting into a negative woke issue. a shame
That's so cool that your friend's father was a producer! it's such a shame that people twist all this hard work into a racism thing. Apparently a lot of people are insisting that the show was also queer-baiting because Enid and Wednesday had no romance. So it's not just a negative racism woke issue, people also have negative lgbtq related woke issues as well. It's so dumb.
Funniest part is that this show went out of its way to pander to the woke left, and still it wasn't enough... a clear case of something never being woke enough
good proof that that side cant handle themselves 😭
The "mic drop - *snap* BASED" at 8:18 was perfect, great job editors😂
I've watched this show 3 times already and there is absolutely no racism. The three people they're talking about are not "bullies", they're important characters and do have a great character development. Also, I do need to point out the fact that Gomez and Fester have been Spanish, specifically Castilian, since the 1960s TV show. Hence the Spanish first names and them casting Raul Julia as Gomez in the 1990s movies. It's not a huge jump to make some of Gomez's ancestors come from Mexico, as they did in the show. Nothing to get bent out of shape over.
Right, people forget or just don't know that Latinos are not a race but an ethnicity. The typical Latino people tend to think of are literally descendants of Europeans mixed with less than 10% of Native American blood.

I genuinely enjoyed Wednesday. Thought Jenna I was amazing. Did not interpret any characters as bullies just as a foil to her character
We ain't ready for this conversation yet
Yes! I love this video! Tim Burton is soo not a racist. Your absolutely right, these ignorant people didn't even watch the whole thing, their characters have a lot more going on then just the bully aspect smh. Besides that, how can they say he's racist when he did cast 2 other POC's in different types of characters also smh Thank you for pointing that all out. I'm so tired of this. I've always loved Tim Burton film's, I would have been heartbroken if he had scaled his art down for a quota
I LOVED this show. It was amazingly done. Not woke in my opinion. Just great entertainment. Amazing acting, cinematography, music, mystery/plot. Seriously fantastic.
It's pretty woke. It mentioned "patriarchy" several times in a negative light, the character Eugene has lesbian "moms", calling people bigots because they aren't politically correct and stuff. But the show doesn't try to shove woke garbo down viewers throats as aggressively as many other shows, it's still enjoyable.
nah this show is woke as hell. but it's subtle. Jenna and her Wednesday is the only saving grace in this otherwise very mediocre show.
@@jesseramirez9062I agree, I cringed at several moments throughout the series. It’s all just subtle woke side comments inserted needlessly
It's an AMAZING show. Bianca and Lucas both turned out to be great characters in the end. The literal monster/serial killer was white. Eugene has 2 moms. People just need things to complain about...
Fun fact. My first bully was a black kid named James. I've really only had two. The other was a Venezuelan kid named Alan. Other than them, people tried to bully me, but it never really stuck.
I am not a huge fan of Addams Family but I reluctantly watched all the Wednesday episodes and its really good. Why can't people just enjoy a show?
The show is so good they have to make up something to complain about
Kind of like reality. Truth hurts. Kudos to Tim for having a set.
There was this one artwork drew directly from a game for a characters birthday, where the artist made the skin colour exactly the same as the genuine character, and yet the artist was accused of being racist and ‘whitewashing’ the character yet there was no difference in skin tone.
When’s Brett doing the dance? 😳
In the Wednesday outfit
someone's gonna deepfake this
Seems kinda racist to set specific roles that 'black' actors and actresses can have. How many black people would have less jobs if they could only play good, flawless characters? I'm pretty sure these actors and actresses are quite happy they were getting paychecks for working in a well-done series. (Whether in Wednesday or any other media, let artists play well-written characters, whether they are black or white or some shade in-between and whether they are 'good-guys' 'bad-guys'.)
my sister has recommended 'Wednesday' to me not too long ago, first question I asked was "is it woke?" she couldn't tell since she's not into politics, and where I live being "woke" isn't a thing (for now...the cultural war isn't America's level bad here). so I put that on hold. but now I think I'll give it a try, since I LOVED the Addams Family as a kid.
The seagulls got me😂
