My Bertucci Dx3 Canvas Patrol Khaki just arrived today. For the price this watch can't be beat. No date which is great and this is also one of just two quartz watches I own. The other is a Bertucci as well. Thanks for the review.
I personally love the 4 o'clock stem.position.. 4 years same battery. It is what it is .

I've been wearing the Bertucci A-2T Original Classic (titanium, white face, date function) for six years and have no complaints at all. It's rugged and reliable, looks good without calling attention to itself. I'm not a "watch guy" in that I don't analyze, compare, and collect as a hobby, but I've owned enough watches to know what I like. I wear it every day. I need a watch for work with a sweep second hand that is accurate to the second, and this one stays on for months. I just ordered a second Bertucci, the Super Classic, with black face, sapphire crystal, improved lume, and ten-year lithium battery. I just replaced the battery in this one for the second time, so I'm getting two years. They're a new American company making a good product.

It’s a great watch. I removed the movement to clean the inside of the crystal and broke mine (d’oh!) but was able to replace the movement for $10 (which included a spare) so I could say $5. It’s a solid field watch.
Agreed! Can't beat it for the price..
I have two of these; one is this plastic case one, that I think I paid about $60 for. I wear it when I'm using a chain saw, or working on a car engine. (Not a good idea to be working on an engine while wearing a metal cased watch, or even a wedding ring because of the possibility of shorting out something electrical.). The watch has been bullet proof for 3 or 4 years.
The other is titanium, with 200 WR. It was a little more expensive, maybe $110. I think this just points out how ridiculous it is that some manufacturers want an extra $200 for the titanium version of their watches. (I'm looking at you, Seiko and Hamilton.)
I have this very watch.... I love it when going camping and hiking.... it is durable and has never let me down. This is when I don't want to wear my Rolex out in the field.
Great video and I own a bertucci watch. I wear it on a daily basis and honestly beat the crap out of it. It's a fantastic watch and my dad wears his on the daily as well in and out of job sites. I literally never get tired of wearing this watch, I would recommend it to anyone unless you intend to swim with it.
Agreed! I bought this same watch but with a black nato strap and I wear it a ton. For the money you can't go wrong.
July 2024. I have owned this model for a few months. I wear it every day. Fantastic bargain. My avocation is collecting and restoring low end watches. I don't wear a watch when taking a shower or swimming. If you do, then for another $25 get the 100 meter model. 50 meters is fine for me.
Thanks for a great review. After viewing your review and several others I have ordered the DX3 Plus. As far as I can tell the only difference is a band upgrade to the ghost stripe. As for the mystery of the movement, has anyone considered that with the 4:00 crown it could be a Seiko movement?

Finally an excellent Bertucci watch review. Straight forward without the annoying reviewers nonsense so typical on UA-cam. Bertucci is hands down the best watch for the money.

I just bought a Bertucci DX3 Field White Dial Defender Drab Nylon Mens Watch 11019 on eBay for $48. Great review. I feel better, though I didn't feel bad about this purchase after watching your review. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome Michael! As for ticking, if your ear is near it you might hear it, but I wear it at least a couple days per week at home and I've never noticed it.
Love my DX3. I got the cream face version black bezel with canvas strap. I swapped out the canvas to the black comfort band, that combined with the off white face and all black now looks amazing. The watch never comes off I shower and swim without worrying. Excellent value as the video rejects. Sure it’s quartz, sure it’s plastic but so durable. Sure I could shell out $400 for a Hamilton Khaki but more maintenance and I’d be constantly afraid to hurt it.
I was in agreement with you until you compared it to a Hamilton Khaki, one of the best-value watches I've ever reviewed. Watches aren't just about "durability," there's an art and an attention to detail that makes a piece special, and as much as the DX3 is a great value watch, there's NOTHING special about it. The Hamilton stuff (like the Khaki King I reviewed) is remarkable. $400 for a Hamilton is a BETTER value than $70 for a DX3, unless all you're looking for is plastic durability.
I just got one, and it's surprisingly good for what it is. The Bertucci case design fits my small wrist better than I imagined it would, given the long lug length. I also like their strap... It fits me better than any NATO strap I've ever worn. I think it's a good beater option, but loses out to G-Shock for overall features and performance. But those who just want a basic field watch can't do much wrong if they go with this.
I'm literally wearing mine right now lol. I agree with you - great fit, and probably the best NATO strap I've owned / wore.
Got this watch 2 days ago. like the strap as I hate leather straps. Time will tell about durability. Like it so far. A simple but quite good watch.
Excellent video Insomniac as always man. And what do you think about the others Bertucci? Like the A2T titanium case, sapphire glass and Japan quartz for about $220 will be worth it? My question is because I don’t know what kind of brand is Bertucci
Thanks! Always appreciated. As for your question, unfortunately I have no idea. This is the first and only Bertucci I've ever experienced, so I don't know enough about the brand to recommend their other models.
@@excelsiortrading8050 agree but for 220 I can buy a Victorinox quartz Swiss made with sapphire and stainless steel, for example. The question should be: is worth this Bertucci brand?
The lume on my dx3 and the smaller 36mm version were a big disappointment. Hands lumed ok, but markers lume was very poor to none on both so I returned them. On the other hand my bertucci a-2t classic's lume is very good, hands and markers and readable all night. Like some I thought my classics strap was to thick, but after some ware it really softened up and I now feel their straps are one of the most special thing about their watches. The 36mm version came with what they call their comfort strap and it was excellent also. Thanks for your review.

I have a Bertucci watch but a different model. The one I have is the Titanium model with a date feature and it has a 200m water resistance. I love it. It is the watch I typically wear daily just so lightweight, tough, and versatile. I have a few more expensive automatic watches from other brands but my titanium quartz Bertucci is the one that gets the most usage by far. I wasn’t sure about the NATO strap at first but now I love it. Here is why, I live in Florida and metal bands are typically too heavy for every day. Leather bands don’t work well in the Florida heat/humidity as they get kind of icky. This strap works and feels great. I think I paid about $125 for mine but it is titanium, 200m, with date and great lume. I don’t like the poly plastic. Try to find another titanium watch for that price with those features. I have seen field watches from other brands that are steel (not titanium), just 50 or 100m (not 200m), with no date and crummy lume that don’t look as nice yet sell for hundreds of dollars more. It makes no sense to spend hundreds more for a crummier watch. I don’t get people sometimes 🤷♂️.
Nice! Sounds like a great piece. And I too was surprised by the Nato strap. I honestly haven't liked a Nato strap until this Bertucci strap came in. Try a haveston single pass canvas strap. Amazing comfort in hot weather!

@@ShouldITimeThis great - only niggle was a scratchy part of the strap but that wore in. The second hand doesn't hit all the markers but that doesn't bother me. Love it. Good sturdy no nonsense watch. I wear it often. It's nice and light because of the resin which means you can wear it loose without it wobbling around. I added a smart watch screen protector to make it abuse proof. This works well because of the lip around the crystal. Understated and easy to read.

A1112 is most likely just a dial code for the manufacturer. It has nothing to do with steel in this case. It’s basically just a $7 Miyota quartz movement at retail. When Bertucci is buying thousands of movements, I’m sure the price is significantly discounted.

I have the stainless version and I love it. It was $79 when I got it but I think it's up to $99 now. It gives you a screw down crown, screw on case back and 100m water resistance. It keeps great time, looks good and I don't have to worry about it.

I bought the dx3+ with a brown case and desert tan band with white face. I am night blind and the white face is easier for me to read.

0. It's a quartz movement.
There is a glitch in the matrix at the 4:14 mark. I honestly thought it was going to be a insanely high priced watch for no reason when I saw this on IG before I came to UA-cam.
No glitch - just one tiny poorly-chopped edit that of course was pointed out immediately lol. I'm working on it.

@@ShouldITimeThis I think today was watch day on eBay. I got a bertucci for $28, a Timex expedition scout for $20 and a Momentum Atlas for $50 because the seller spelled it Atlus in the listing so not too many people saw it. Good day for me 🦾🦾
Maybe the A1112 is the movement.
It's not, because if you Google A1112 movement, you get watches with a reference number of A1112 (that aren't from this brand) that have different movements than this watch has.

I found it to be the opposite - I can't stand normal "NATO" straps because they're usually paper thin and the watch just flops around all day. Loved the stability of this strap and found it to be comfortable. To each his own though.
