I do feel like the insistence on skirts is quite unusual for this 'aesthetic' since so many horror game protagonists wear jeans (Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Aya Brea). I actually feel as if jeans play at least half as much of a role in horror games as skirts. Too many people are calling what is essentially fatal frame aesthetics with horror game aesthetics. I really appreciated your recommendation for y2k jeans or cargos!
Jill and Ashley bring the skirts (re3 and re4) while Claire fits similarly due to her shorts giving a similar silhouette. It's more the combination with the knee boots that give the iconic look. Fiona from Haunting Ground has this too, and even Heather in Silent Hill, who brings a more boyish vibe to the look without going to jeans. I dont understand how this look has become so overwhelmingly Fatal Frame, but skirts deserve to be a main staple in this look.
i’m not normally one to follow trends and things but this style is so cute!!! i bought a couple shirts like this and im excited to wear them. normally i only wear and buy crop tops hehe
I startet around a year ago to build my wardrobe around this astetic. It's Not easy, I'm plus size and try to avoid fast Fashion. But Its so much,Like some kind of collection. Everytime I find a knew Peace that fits the theme I'm overjoyed. I have two skirts that I love, but there thick and more for colder weather. But I saw some Outfits with Jeanshorts, that looked realy good! Since I tried this Style, I kinda liked myself more.
thank you for the vid!! ive been OBSESSED with this aesthetic and I've been wanting to learn what clothes to look for to achieve the vibes so I can maybe go thrifting!! I have this really nice velvet cami with black lace details that I think go perfect with this aesthetic however I can't seem to figure out how to style it bc the length of it seems to go over my hips but not long enough to be a dress :( so im sure this vid will give me inspo!!
Another horror game that is in this aesthetic is the Indonesian game called DreadOut. I love watching play through I can’t play myself because I’m anxious enough just existing 😂 I need a Filipino horror game to go mainstream
I need a guide on how to appeal aesthetically pleasing as an overweight person. It feels like we’re barely getting any good clothing. It makes me sad because they give the privilege to skinny/mid-weight girls than us. If you could do a video about it that would mean the world to me. Summer is coming and I don't have any good outfits that actually represents who am I.
I can try! Off the top of my head i would say to follow some plus size creators/influencers for inspo! Theres so many out there who are soo fashionable and pull off diff aesthetics. What aesthetics are you interested in? I can try to find some for you :) A lot of it has to do with confidence as well! I truly think anyone can pull off any aesthetic regardless of body type :)
@@dressrelief thank you!, it's actually the limited resources for me that keeps pulling me back from dressing up like i want. I don't have a specific aesthetic so i wish if i could just post a picture on YT comments lolll, but i guess "vintage, " NANA " , coquette and grunge aesthetics?? " i love earth tones, dark red and pink. With a lot of accessories that pops up when u search for aesthetic pictures on Pinterest?? Sorry if that doesn't sound clear but if you find it struggling to know i can give you my board's link to you! 🤍🤍
@@LuuAsked4Question I have actually seen a lot of cute stuff in shein thats for plus sized people! Stuff that fits into the horror protagonist and coquette. If you r interested plz give me somewhere i can contact u to send u these stuff!
I love this so much! ❤ I came from your whimsigoth home decor video and loved that too. I’m going to watch all your other fashion videos now haha But I was wondering if you would mind sharing more photos of plus sized people (and disabled people!). I think this is my own personal problem but I started feeling body dysmorphia from seeing only one body type in cute clothes. I wanted to share because I am sure I am not the only one and if someone else is feeling that way, there’s nothing wrong with your body either :)) To creator- I haven’t seen videos that bring voice to the styles that I already loved, thank you for sharing!! ❤❤
does anyone have tips on how to cover the arms even when using these kind of clothes? most of the tops i can find are short sleeves, but where i live its very cold most of the time + i NEED to cover my arms because i have not so cool scars there
maybe small silver hoops, maybe the ones with small charms on them? the example i’m thinking of is a specific earring from hot topic with a small hoop and dangly star charm
Personally I’ve ordered there a lot of times with no issues, but just make sure to get items with a lot of good reviews and to double check the measurements/sizing because it often runs small!

Yes fatal frame definitely seems like the main inspo so far but you’re right theres so many other cool protagonists!
I learned so much from your comment 🥹

@@tsukasa6364 we can thank TikTok for the annoying trends lol
omg yess, i’d love to see a masculine version of this aesthetic ^_^
You mean like color scheme and clothing style on a male body? Or a masculine style of the clothes with features of this style?
i feel like apocalyptic clothing is the equivalent [if that makez sense >_
@@naomigwolfe8112 Yeah, like still frilly and fancy/cute but fitting to a male.
if you mix it with schoolgirl aesthetic you get naho from corpse party 💅🏻
Corpse party mentioned!!!
the one downside of this trend is that ppl (esp on depop) overprice the clothing
pls do a how to dress like a shoujo anime protagonist like hachi from nana or tohru from fruit basket !!

That sounds so cute!! I think it could work with a mini skirt just peeking out from under the cami or maybe some y2k style jeans!
@@dressrelief i came back to this video to find inspo for my next thrift and just saw this reply. thank you! I'll try it out!
It’s so so so hard to dress this way with my tops because I’m so top heavy so I’m learning how to sew to help!
I feel this. But I 'm the opposite, finding Tops that are Not to loose around the chest is almost Impossible

The delivery time is about 1-2 months
@@chummychimchim It depends on what you buy, not everything takes months to arrive! All items state different waiting times tbh.
