Love these two colors together and that paper is beautiful. I need that one. I hear you about taping off. It is very important and very tedious. It matters
So ironic that this video came up! I have one very similar that I'm keeping for myself. It's been primed and somewhat painted as im stuck in that darn blending process! Same color "family kind of",but I was torn bc I wanted "vintage duck egg as well. I have a peacock transfer saved for it as well! Basically you have inspired me to get after it and get it done! My jewelry is in a big box just waiting to be organized!! Thanks for the pep talk!! Patty k.
No, it’s not necessary to scuff beforehand. Sanding between coats depends on the finish after I apply the coat. Usually, the bonding primer settles pretty nice but if there’s a lot of brushstrokes I sand with a really high grit. That way we will get a smooth finish throughout.
Thank you! Sure, I’m just love the bronze lately especially when there is a lot going on with the piece already. It’s been my go to color for hardware these days.
This came out so lovely and feminine…..if you wanted to channel your inner “Kacha”, gold gilding wax on the hardware and gold “dipped” feet would really add the crowning touches! However it is awesome as is!
Absolutely Love this piece!!! That paper is Gorgeous!! Especially with your Blending!!! Taping off was definitely well worth the time!! ❤️🎄❤️

When using the bonding primer, is it not necessary to scuff sand? Also do you sand between primer coats?

Beautiful piece, well done. Just one question: would a different colored hardware make it pop??
