Mandaragiri or Basadi-betta is a Jain pilgrimage located on Mandaragiri Hill in Tumkur district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
This place is a perfect weekend getaway near Bangalore. You can reach here via Nilmangala and the Mumbai highway. It is not too far, just located at a distance about 75-80km from Bangalore city.
It has two temple, one known as Pinchi temple or Peacock temple as its design resembles peacock feathers and is located at the foot of the Mandaragiri hill. The second set of temple you will find on the top of the hill and they are all 12th century jain temples.
