- Hello everyone! This is the second sea moss soap video I am publishing! this time we are using a melt and pour soap base and I have included the recipe below. I am LOVING the sea moss in my DIY skincare products. It is great for so many things. It has a ton of minerals that your body needs along with collagen for skin and hair health! Sea moss is full of essential minerals and nutrients, such as: Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamins B12 & B2, Vitamin C, Zinc, Iron, Iodine, Fiber
Here is the recipe:
Sea Moss Melt and Pour Soap
Recipe:
• 2 pounds of clear, low sweat melt and pour soap (your choice, I used the Stephenson brand)
• 1 ounce of dry gold sea moss (I got mine from Amazon)
• 2 ounces processed sea moss
• ¼ tsp siren’s song blue mica from Nurture Soap
• ¼ tsp titanium dioxide dispersed in just enough water to cover the powder
• 0.9 ounces of Sea Minerals fragrance oil from Candle Science or your fragrance of choice.

Thank you! 💕
Yup, the best recipes at a very very reasonable price
Also when letting sea moss sit over night is it in the refrigerator?
@@0205danisa Hey! No you don;t have to put it in the refrigerator when soaking it overnight. You do want to ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and covered with your respective brand of water and sealed with plastic wrap of some sort to create an airtight barrier.
Sea Moss is an honest Superfood! Giving your body 92 out of the 102 minerals needs... you can't go wrong. Great to add to your diet (along with Bladderwrack). Thank you for the AMAZING video!

Heavily considering adding this to my products! Thank you for this valuable information!

Sooo pretty! I love ocean themed soaps...I guess because I love the ocean and it’s beautiful colors. Brings back good memories! Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful recipe with us! Great tutorial! Also thank you for adding in that little clip about how you processed your sea moss! Very interesting and something I would like to try doing!
Thank you!

You are welcome! It’s an amazing MP Recipe
These are gorgeous by the way💙💙💙
I love the technique of this soap. Adding the sea moss was an excellent choice to add to your soap. Also the color coordination was very nice.
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome
I truly thank you for sharing
Beautiful 😍. Love your soaps 🧼
thank you!
Excellent👍
Thank U for Tutorial
Thank you I made my soap🥰❤
Just beautiful
Thank you!
I've been using sea Moss it has 97 out of the 107 minerals our bodies need. But I got hooked to putting in my kefir. But I love putting it in my soaps and it's a great stabilizer for other cosmetics. Thank you. Your one of my favorites... Shah don't tell.
Yes!! It’s amazing!! Thank you so much for your support! 🥰
I actually tested leaving my sea moss at room temperature and it has lasted for over two months without going bad. HOWEVER, I asked my Endocrinologist if it was safe to consume Sea Moss and she said to be AWARE of the iodine content. Sea Moss (or any type of seaweed) is very high on iodine and is is not healthy for your Thyroid.
Love your videos!
thank you!
Thank you for sharing will try this
What's the shelf life for the soap?
So beautiful
Love these
Thank you!
These came out so good! I could so see a loaf in those soaps
Thank you! Yes a loaf of this would be beautiful!
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany yesss and I just thought about a loofah going into these circular molds 🤍
@@Synquette yes! Or a natural sea sponge 😊
They turned out awesome!! The first soap to come out the mold has an image of a bear to me...lol and a facial image..thanks for sharing!!
lol! Yes, I love how each one has it's own unique design and no two are alike!
Does it matter how thick or smooth it is will it be a table spoon to get the full mineral count?
Thanks
I love making CP SeaMoss soap! I even added coffee grounds to it💕 I just might try adding something else to it😉
TUMERIC is a great addition
The wash water is good for your skin, and hair.
Honestly I love the sea moss from my country I don’t have to blend it a lot of times it don’t have lumps
Hello, how long does the soap last?
12:53 does soap have an optimal temp range for adding ingredients to it? I am starting with melt and pour and I know it’s melt mix then pour but I just melt it until it’s melted and mix I have yet to get a thermometer.
will I compromise the recipe if I leave out the sea moss?
Will sea moss become moldy in a melt and pour base. I know m&p is very limited on what you can add
What type of blender is this blendtec
what is in that clear container?
How long would this last after first usage before being spoiled? Would you leave in the fridge in between usage?
It lasts up to 4 weeks in the fridge or until you see mold
Question
Do you need a preservative for this project due to the little bit of water added into the sea moss?
No answer? I would like to know also
Can I use the processed sea moss from the cream for this? I noticed you didn’t cook it in this video. Thanks!!
Yes, you sure can!
Wouldn't seamoss eventually rot in the melt and pour?
The ph of this soap is between 7-8 so it should be ok. But it won’t last forever.
No preservative?
What would you say is the shelf life of this particular soap
I think about six months to a year.
What is the shelf life on this soap and the cold process sea moss soap. TIA
These will last for a very long time. They last about a year and even then, it's not like they go bad, they just lose their smell and color some. But you can still use it.
Does your recipe include the amount of lye you added ?
This is a melt and pour soap base so there is no lye.
what is you were only using 1 pound of soap how would you divide all of the other ingredients to fit that recipe?
Do you have to wrap them right away
Yes, they need to be wrapped right away!
Can I leave out the sea miss?
Yes! 😊
Did u need a preservative?
Dang that's what I wanted to know:( it seems like you would
You don't need preservatives. Melt and pour soap has everything needed.
do you have to add titanium dioxide or is that just for the white color ?
Yes, the titanium dioxide is to get that white color.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thank you I also have a question about lye.. Is that a solution that you add when making soaps or is he lye already in the soap base google isn’t giving me much information .Is that a key ingredient making all kinds of soap or just specific kinds ?
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany doesnt it cause cancer? i prefer organics
What if you used white mica instead of the TD??
are all ingredient vegan ?
To the best of my knowledge, yes.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thank you for your fast reply
FYI, this is not new. She’s just been researching. A lot of soapers of color have been using sea moss in their soaps for a while now. JS🤷🏽♀️
No this is not a new concept, I didn’t claim That it was. This is, however, my recipe. Part of my job is to create items that my supporters ask for and this has been highly requested. Thanks for watching.
She didn't say it was new...but it is new to those of us who are new to soap making and are searching for different methods to use. This isn't the place for all that, sis. This has nothing to do with color. Chill.
I’m glad to see other soapers add sea moss in their soaps making. It does the body good and the skin. 👍🏾
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany can I use a soap base with Shea butter in it when making sea moss soap????
