Love the video ❤
Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😊
This is back in the days when the old 38s were still current, but what enthusiasts used to do was grease the rails over a section of track. The loco would toil when it hit this, but the enthusiasts were ready with sound recording equipment and delighted in getting audio of the engine wheezing and grunting..
I've heard stories like that. Not something I would recommend. 👍😊
This loco needs to do a special trip on September 19th for Talk Like A Pirate Day.
That's right me hearties, we're going on an Arrrh Class. 🏴☠
Ohh my.... 🤣🤣👍

Good Morning Putty Cat, Since I woke up I have been busy getting things done for the day, so I can relax and take it easy for today, I enjoyed the Video
Very happy you enjoyed the video. Sometimes we need a little down time to relax 🐈🐈👍😊
Magic‼️Those Hudsons are my fave loco ever. There ain’t nothing like an R-Class and its whistle👏👏👏

The Inglewood-Eaglehawk disused freight line now falling into ruin, should have been kept open as a freight link
There is a push to reopen that line. We shall see what the future holds 🙂 👍
@driver667 Watched a video from a guy who actually walked that line. It's in a state, esp the old trestle bridges,so the longer they leave it, the worse it will get,Inglewood, my late fathers family, lived in that district, sent 4 sons to WW1 and only 1 came back,my grandfather,it shows the impact that war had on country communities
War is a terrible thing. Marong is in the future plans for vline and hopefully the people pushing reopen the line, succeed 👍 😊
27:30 Nice bit of regulator adjustment as the grade changes.
Very happy you enjoyed the video and the sounds 😀 👍😊
Why did we stop at the station at Inglewood? I didn't think it even had one as im always only driving thru the town not diverting off to the sides to explore the streets of it! What was the other track beside it?
And what was the "C" sign as you drove past? Were you a passenger on this train instead of a driver this time? 😊
The track beside the train is what is left of the yard. I don't drive steam, but I do travel on them sometimes. 👍😊
Another great video.
What is the cruise speed she is making?
Around 60kph. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😊
Was this before standard gauge conversion?
This line is still broad gauge. The conversion of Sea Lake and Manangatang is not going ahead. They are remaining broad gauge. 👍😀
Are those actual mileposts along the way. I timed them at roughly 60’ apart. If I got that right that would be a cracking 60 mph‼️
Nah. 60km/h. Metric here.
They are kilometre posts. As RichoBCV pointed out, metric measurements. 60kph 👍😊
@@driver667judging by the sleeper strobe, it actually hit 65kph in places!
@@johnkabala2119 hang on to your hat 🤣🤣 a cracking pace 👍 😊
Hey 667 what’s better v line train or metro train it’s really hard to dicide
Sorry if I did a spelling mistake ❤❤❤
I'm biased because I work for Vline so Vline is my choice 👍😀
Ok❤❤❤
Is there any chance I could meet you 😊😊
@@Gothepiessss17 If you keep an eye out when around southern Cross or vline trains, you have a good chance of catching me. Come say hello if you do 👋 👍😊
Is the Manangatang line still in use?
Yes. Lots of grain and even some container trains.
@@RichoBCV hopefully the Robinvale line re-opens soon
Yes, as pointed out by the others it is still in use. 👍😊
