Did you try putting Kommander against both Saladin and Wolf at the same time? (Maybe I missed it, idk) Start with just 1 Saladin and 1 Wolf, maybe their different tactics combined will be efficient already
Well - this is an interesting result. Wolves' problem was, that their attacks are coming to late - and they are unable to set Commander's castle on fire.
Four Wolves hadn't could beat Commander, four Saladins could. In some points Saladin is stronger than Wolf and if I had to appoint the best lord in the game (excluding unofficial lords), both of them would be ex aequo.
So, commander us weak vs harassment and Saladin's fire throwers. Perhaps adding a Snake, Caliph, Wazir or a Frederick to 3 wolves would do it. With aggressive AI of course.

Not quite. Saladins were able to win because Commander didn't have time to build his castle. After Commander's castle is build Saladin is completely useless, he will never be able to win because he can't do anything against moat.
Saladins did get lucky at burning commander's city very early , and most melee troops of commander were burnt when trying to defend from horse archers. But this trully reveals how vulnerable are commander cities to fire, which is his main weakness. Also , to be honest , commander castle design is shit, it's not at the level of wolve's level but the reason why his defense is that strong is because of the lots of crossbowmen that are on there, moats helps significantly againist AI and some fire defense is always good. Once you shutdown 4 front towers , there will be like -25% to -40% crossbowmen for his defense, but the hundreds of pikemen will be waiting you, so in that case, fire is your best ally.

He isn't though. Wolf beats Saladin in most AI battles i've done. Frederick with UCP beats him though but not without it.
What about 5 Richards ?
