Most of the criticism One Direction got towards the start of their careers (their first two albums), I totally understand. Boring, repetitive and cheesy. But the last three were absolutely incredible and I would put them up against any top selling album from, at least, the past decade. Awesome stuff. You can't really compare "We're like na na na, then we're like yeah, yeah, yeah", to "Summertime, Butterflies, all belong to your creation" and "I want to lend you my coat, one that's as soft as your cheek". Their music really progressed throughout their time and I really hope they come back one day.
