Quick and simple way to replace the fork seals on a BMW Airhead. In this example I am working on a 1984 R65.

Nice video Heiko, you really provide useful content. Need to replace the oil in my R100RS forks, will probably change the seals at the same time.

I believe that goop is from the deterioration of a plastic seal on the upper portion of the fork. Will definitely need to have a look at it.

I also think so, there are rubber bumpers in there, end of traject bumper/silent block, they are gone most of the time.
You really need to dismantle the damper inside to replace all parts.
