    I'm pretty new to tekken. Why wouldn't you just always go for the highest damage options?

    • @VASH2
      @VASH2  5 місяців тому +1

      It depends on many factors such as situations, space, stages, distance from the wall, in rage or in heat state or both. Options like I shown makes it easier to choose different combo for different situations & different stages in order to get the maximum optimization.

      You should always try to do max damage

      @@縣technically true but if someone is close to death, sometimes max dmg may not kill the opponent and reset the situation to neutral all over again. on the other hand, going for a combo with a little less dmg that forces a mixup situation afterwards forces the opponent to literally guess for their life on wakeup. that way the enemy as a way lower chance to come back or score any extra hits after the combo. it works for me a lot and i see a lot of high level players opt for it if they can tell their max dmg combo wont kill

      Execution concerns, how far you'll be from the opponent after your ender, how much wall carry you're going for, style points, etc.
      It's good to know as many routes as you feel comfortable learning because maybe you accidentally float someone out of a hop kick and you don't think you can land one route vs another, maybe you accidentally input a df2 instead of an EWHF and need to readjust, maybe your opponent is being too predictable in their wakeup and you can launch them again for it, maybe you're just bored of watching yourself do the same combo from every launch and want to just keep it interesting, maybe through learning these different combo routes you'll stumble across really cool new tech, there's lots of reasons. If you're just starting though, try the hardest hitting combo you can pull off consistently and do from there.

    Does b3 not work instead of standing 3? Before heat burst I mean

    • @VASH2
      @VASH2  5 місяців тому +2

      It works , tested it already. Standing 3 looks nicer though

      @@VASH2 I think b3 will do more damage

      Actually it does the same damage. I tested it while making this video, and I chose "standing 3" because it looks nicer . That's it !
