Thank you for showing the uncensored dead victims pictures. It makes the stories actually come alive and although hard to see, the realization of how horrible these tragedies were
Verdade, fica mais realista para quem acompanha a história, prazer em falar com vocês americanos :).
Hope to see more collaborations with lamount soon
your collabs with lamont are top notch!
I love you guys together. It’s so strange that some horrible crimes should take place in such beautiful areas.
@That V8 Life whatever.
@That V8 Life total agree. He is a weird cat. Just something total strange about his entire demeanour.
@@jewisley did you bother checking out just continue to stuff your face.
@@xr6lad before you go bring so stupid to someone that you do not know, maybe you better get your head out of you derrière. I’m entitled to an opinion, and you can have enough respect for someone you don’t know.
@That V8 Life which guy did that?
Two voices I’d recognize anywhere join up to bring us terrible stories about the victims we must never forget. Thank you gentlemen.
That passing motorist that saw Polly Ann and her partner dead in their car was my grandfather. He, along with my grandmother and aunt were on their way to church when he noticed a car pulled off the side of the road. He was always one to help others, and thought maybe they were having car problems. When he walked up to the window, he noticed they had both been shot in the back. He went and notified the police. I still live in Texarkana, and people still talk about these killings to this day. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity while a student at Texarkana College in 2005 to talk to a gentleman that lived during the killings. He and my professor were discussing the topic while I was in the room doing some local research for a sociology project. I asked if I could sit in on their conversation, and they were kind enough to let me. I wish to this day that I would have had a tape recorder so I could listen back to what he recounted from the actual 1946 killings. A lot of what he said was not told in the movie in 1976. He said it was a very scary time for Texarkana, because at that time it was a small Mayberry like town where things of this nature did not happen. There are so many questions I still have, and it makes me sad that there are not many left from that time to ask these questions to.
For all we know it could have been a shop-owner--looking to make a little money! If we just defeated the Germans then who needs personal-defense-weapons, aye? People were losing business because of the relaxed post-war vibe. Maybe a friend did it to generate gun/hardware sales? BTW: I read you're comment, and that's pretty cool. Be cool, Josh.
Awe heck yeah! The boys in my neck of the woods! Born and raised in the area. We all knew this story. Yet, there’s so many buried and “forgotten” stories actually more scary than this. I lived through a couple. The Red River close by has many local horror stories. Down in Fulton Arkansas a teenage boy was pushed in front of a train, by his pissed off girlfriend, right at the entrance of the bridge that crosses the river. He pretty much exploded from the impact. It was considered by authorities to be an accident but all who seen it happen knew better and kept their mouths shut. Just whispers. It’s who you know in that town. Pieces of him were left behind and local kids would bring friends to show off the decaying flesh and pieces of bloody clothes. I was around 10 or so. Back in the 90s.
Mobile instincts, Lamont at Large, Mr Ballen and that Irish guy Mike on the channel That Chapter. Y’all are my fix when I’m over thinking my life.
Mike Thirdly?
Really cool to see you guys making another video together and visiting this particular town. The film that was inspired by the true events is very good, though of course did have liberties taken with it. I’ve never been through Texarkana before, but I do know people who have been through there and they’ve said just by passing through it was both nice, yet there’s also a bit of an off putting vibe to it. Great video Chris, keep up the great work!
Which film? The original one or the newer one?
what is the film?
@@Cthadopest The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) and (2014)
Personally I prefer his solo treks. Not a very good mic on his cam, plus he can focus on the story without interruption.
You Two Are soCute together
The guy that did it must be dead by now. That's just creepy. It's cool that you two work together. I been watching Lamont for years.
@Dean take you would be surprised to learn that most serial killers don't get caught , they mostly get caught when they get lazy
Ah Texarkana...my old stomping grounds.
Thanks for the post!
Love when you two get together, sure means it’s gonna be a good one, and you two never disappoint. Great job and such an alarming crime. Thanks guys, love and blessings, stay safe
Amen
So strange to come across this video. My parents were teenagers and lived in Texarkana during this time. As a child, my family visited Spring Lake Park for picnics and I heard of these crimes at that time.
Wow! Crazy and scary for them but really cool too! Glad they were unscathed!
The A team are back love it when you two get together
Love when these 2 guys team up
Crazy that there's people out there like this. We all need to stay vigilant and always carry something for protection whether it's a gun, knife, pepper spray, Taser or whatever. Stay safe out there everyone.
Highway 67 used to be the only way out of town going east. I still go that way when I go to Hope.
Love it when y’all film together!!
I've watched the movie The Town that Dreaded Sundown a few times and every time it creeps me out probably because it's based on a true story and they never caught the killer.
Made by the same guy that made the Legend of boggy Creek.
Just like the Zodiac killer, never caught.
Is dreaded sundown a good movie?
Love you two teaming up once again. Lets see more and more!
Yes
Lamont is a weird cat. I mean really weird.
@@xr6lad weird? Weird how?
Thanks Chris & Lamont, a very bizarre set of murders, it is strange that once he was caught and sent to the jail that the attacks stopped
although this doesn't mean he carried out the attacks it was very strange, who knows really, it could have been him but equally
the killer could have just moved on to a different state. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
I greatly enjoy you two teaming up and telling this story.
Thank you for covering this!!! I feel it is one that is forgotten about!
Thanks again for another great story..You guys take care and be safe ...
I love when you 2 do colabs💜💜
I first learned of this about 15yrs ago and I think it's a safe bet that this was the Zodiac in his early years.
You never know, but it could be true.
I’m writing this as I’m starting the video, and I just wanted to say this is going to be one of my favorites!!!
What better place to watch this at night when it's raining and coming a storm
Lamont has the best memory for telling these true crime stories ! 💞👍🏻❤️👍🏻💞
I grew up in a little town straight south of Texarkana (Marshall, TX) I remember going to the drive in when I was about 7-8 years old (and I am well into my 50’s now) and watching “The Town That Dreaded Sundown”. I still have creepy dreams about the killer using the trumpet ( with a knife attached to it) killing of a young woman.. shivers😵💫
That thing with the trumpet was just for the movie though. I think she really played the violin, and it didn't have anything to do with her murder.
I just ordered it from Amazon.
I hope it’s good!
@@julienielsen3746 yes .. it was completely made up… but still so creepy when you’re 8🤣
@@ieatedabee6943 Just the basic real story though. I hadn't seen it until a few years ago. Some funny stuff in it too. Like the part when the deputy has to dress up like a woman and sit in the car with the other deputy like they were in the car necking. That was funny.
@@therichlife8657 I'd say it's worth getting.
It was about time you all did the video of the Texarkana killer!
The Hall-Mills murders in 1922 outside of New Brunswick NJ in Franklin Twnsp. was like this. The area where the bodies were found is all built up now. Not that desolate lovers lane of old. Cool unsolved case though
I ll look that one up!
@@MobileInstinct Cool! While you’re at it another good unsolved is the Princess Doe case. Found up in the Blairstown NJ cemetery. Take care 👋
@@MobileInstinct Here are a couple of other cases you might want to investigate. I believe the crime scene locations all still exist.
April 22, 1942 Pueblo, Colorado murder of Alice Porter by Donald Fearn
Sept. 24, 1973 Casper, Wyoming kidnapping rape and murders of Becky Thomson and Amy Burridge
Two top notch presenters at once! Well done guys. The cream always rises to the top, and you two are the cream.
I saw that movie the town that dreaded sundown when I was a little kid..I was hooked on crime stories from that point on..this is the case that started it all for me.
I live in texarkana and just found out, I saw the show along time ago but didn't know it was base in texarkana
You two are awesome! Be well!
I was there when they made the movie. Me my kids and grandkids grew up going to Spring lake park. It's changed alot. We live South in the woods but it was fun to get to go to town as a friend. I'm a nurse and first responder. Lol The memories there.
Mr. Mobile Instinct, I like your videos better when you are by yourself. I still watch them all.
Finally someone did THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN.,.. always one of my favorite stories.,.. every time my family goes to Texas to visit our other family we always stop in Texarkana for the night & stay at the hotel there.... Thanks for covering this I always wondered where these spots were located
love when you do these
Omg. I am from Texarkana and I was just there visiting. Man if I had known, I'd have driven hours just to shake your hand.
I love it when you two collaborate!!
Great video! I love when the two of you collab! 👍🏼✌🏼😎🥰
Pls do more collaborations with Lamont at large on infaMous tragedies, unsolved true crimes, and disasters
We like the collaboration of you guys. Good rapport between you two.
Thank u for this. The history u give us is brilliant. And as a uk girl we don’t really hear to much about old crimes in America. So I personally thank u
I love your collaborations!!
I like how you've visited a lot of murder scenes recently. I like the other content too, but I always look forward to the videos with really dark stories.
A famous murder case no one has ever heard of outside the local area. Thanks for covering it!!!
I’m from Kentucky and a lot of people heard about these stories
You must be a moron theres both Dreaded Sundown and the meta remake The phantom killer is def known outside your "local" area.... (gets trombone bayonette)
A couple of movies made but yeah...
Lol I’m from England and even seen the movies about this and heard of it loads 🤣😂
@@kieranperry9685 consider yourself one of the very few.
Enjoyed this ! Always a treat seeing you and Lamont together....stay safe always.....God bless....🙏❤
Two of my favorite youtubers together- it doesn't get much better then that! Love you both! Hope you do more together, neither of you ever disappoint!
This is one creepy town. I doubt the killer is still living today.
Been mildly obsessed with this case for a long time now after I found out about it doing research into crimes like this in my home state. Even used the Youell Swinney name as a band name and now my screen name because I'm lazy. There's a documentary about this called Murder in the Moonlight that even used some of my music, which still blows my mind.
And before anyone gets angry with me, I didn't use the name because I think murderers are cool. I just thought it was a bizarre name.
It's great to see you guys covering stuff in my home state. You should look into the murder of Amanda Tusing, which happened just down the road from me and may have ties to one or two other murders. Keep up the great content!
Hi, guys! Thanks for teaming up. This story is unbelievable. A murderer in the 40s. That wasn't the thing much back then. This guy was psyco. Sad.
Keep up the amazing work my brother ❣️🙏🏿🙏🏿♥️💯💓🧠
The movie scared the heck out of me!!! I still don’t like to go out in the dark!😬
I love when you guys get together ❤️
My hometown for 52 years. Good job, guys👍
The town that dreaded sundown.
They say it could have been a cop. He didnt take amy of the bait cars the cops put out. Like the killer knew it was a set up
I had that suspicion also, and I think when the other cops figured that out, they executed him . That wouldn't have been unheard of then.
I moved to Texarkana in 1977 and was a newspaper reporter for the Texarkana Gazette & Daily News before moving to Fort Worth a year later. I was shocked when I first heard about these killings--about FIVE years ago. Unreal.
Bit off topic, but I love your name!
@@misscloud1293 Tyvm. Disney gave me the name in an old, now defunct, game called Toontown.
Big Lamont fan
Wow, between the Fouke Monster sightings and this unsolved string of murders, Texarkana has had its share of woes!
You two do the best collaborations! 👌 always watch when it's the both of you 💯
Anytime I see the both of y'all in a video I have to check it out great video
Thank you for sharing.
Awesome seeing you both!!
Love it when you two do videos together. Because of that I found both channels!
Love it when you two are together.
Texarkana is close to Fouke Arkansas which is known for the "Legend Of Boggy Creek" Bigfoot sightings, also a few key shots from "Smokey And The Bandit" were made there, if your still in the area you might check out the Boggy Creek area, lots of scary stories from there.
Nice to see you guys together. Thanks for the story.
Great coverage once again. Nice seeing you guys together again. Hope to see more. Thank you very much
I was a teen when I saw that movie! It came out before Halloween and was more realistic!
There's a movie called Torso (Italian/1973) with a hooded killer who's equally violent. If you watch Torso, and you do not see the hooded killer, please let me know, and I will hunt down the movie I saw that has the character I'm speaking of. My unique way of saying I could be mistaken, and willing to compensate! Take care, pretty one. 😍
Always look forward to your videos! Thanks for taking us along again!
I love when you guys colab…keep up good work
Great content as always , love it when you collab with Lamont , best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮

I just wanna say that You and Lamont make a great duo in these sort of videos, always full of interesting content albeit about sad and tragic events but done so with the utmost respect to the victims.
