Just came to say I tackled this today. This video is pretty good so no need for me to make one as well. I would like to add some things for people to know that maybe werent initially covered or missed. This video is definitely better than the instructions that come with the kit. 1. Make sure you order a metric rivnut gun. I know its stated here in the comments that a different one had to be ordered but just again covering that. 2. The instructions call for a 23/64 bit but I noticed the o.d. of the riv nuts included are larger and dont fit. I had to take my time enlarge the hole a bit at a time to finally squeeze the rivnut in there. But going to the next size bit would be too large. 3. When doing the Ends make sure you drill at the angle
Im trying to install mine but the rivet tools thread I’m using doesn’t seem to be working with the rivets the spoiler came with, I’m using the same exact hand tool in 0:33 and noticed you switched to a blue handled rivet tool.....was wondering if you had the same issues?
Yes I had the same issue. The rivet tool you see in 0:33 mark isn't the correct one ( I forgot to edit that part out and add the correct rivet tool). I had to order the rivet tool from Amazon, I got it in 2 days. The link for the rivet tool I used is the description above.
Hey brother! I checked out the website for the wickers and I see 3 options. I was curious if you know if there is a difference in the “clear” and the “smoked” option besides the center piece. They have several examples pictures but they don’t look like the same wicker. So I’m not sure. I do wanna buy tho! Plz help
Hey man, just ordered mine 2 days ago. I got the “smoked” option and the only difference is the center piece for sure. The tinted centerpiece really changes the look of the spoiler they very much look completely different because of that though. Same spoiler in the end lol.
When drill for the center mount after using the largest drill bit is the rivnut supposed to slide in? Seems like the hole isnt large enough. I am waiting on the new rivnut gun as I bought the wrong one too. Maybe that will help. 3d engineering instructions could use help. Your video is great
I want to install this on my 2019 2SS ILE Convertible, the question I have is the material resistant, you had it on your car 2 years, how is it holding up, are you still happy, and thanks for making this video it sure helps
Hey brother, would it be safe to take your car to an automatic car wash after this install, or do you think it will damage the spoiler? Thanks in advanced
If you're going to install this wicker bill as I just did today, they changed the size of the nutsert. You will need a 25/64" drill bit to drill the nutsert hole after you drill the pilot hole . I used a metric rivnut tool but it really doesn't matter as long as you use the drillbit size i stated. Also when putting on the clear middle piece there are four plastic screws and rubber washers. Those screw into each other.
@Manny G No as long as you're using a rivnut gun not a rivet gun. A rivnut gun is different than a rivet gun. To be safe instead of putting holes all over your spoiler. Test one rivnut on a scrap piece of metal.
1st off congrats on the new ride! Super dope 👌 does 3d engineering have an email or contact? Don't see anything on there site. Wanted to ask them a question before ordering this wicker bill. Thanks 👍
@slickcamaro Did that rivet tool you have work alright with the metric riv nuts that come with this kit. The description says it only come with SAE size ends. Trying to get mine installed today
Vincenzo Catullo I doubt that would be the case if you’re racing on a track, because it’s attached directly to the spoiler. But it MIGHT slow it down if you’re on a drag strip but it definitely won’t be by much.
well that's what i mean if you are in a race with the same car or the same power and wait every little bit counts. I mean it looks nice i would have to think real hard on this one
Hey Slick. Just wanted to know if this guy is legit. I tried to find a good contact number but couldn't find anything. I was going to order it after I saw your install video. Buy the way. Great job. Thanks in advance. Eric
Awesome thanks for the install video man i just got mine and i was a lil nervous to install but you made it look pretty straightforward digging the louvers too brotha, car looks great. Just wondering how come you didn’t take the protective wrap off in the beginning before installing the wicker?
Triple T no problem bro. And you can take it off in the beginning if you want, it’s completely up to you. I took it off at the end in case I cause any damage throughout the installation.

A trick : you can watch series on kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Noah Wilder yea, I have been watching on kaldroStream for months myself =)
@Noah Wilder definitely, I've been watching on KaldroStream for months myself :)
@Noah Wilder Yea, have been using Kaldrostream for since december myself =)
Hello do you have a link of where you got your wicker bill from. Thanks for the video.
Dope video man, super helpful. The camaro looks good, keep it up g.
thanks for the great work you put into this video. 👍

Ls ChevyBlacc could you explain how the river gun part works? I’m trying to install mine but I’m not too familiar with it
I am a mustang guy and can appriciate any type of car but I must say that is one badass Camaro!! I had an IROC Z back in the day.
Tony thanks man I appreciate it!
Hell yeaa thanks @slickcamaro for the discount code I just ordered mine 😁 can't wait to install
where you order it from ?
@@joshharrison1169 his direct link to the website is right at the top click on 3dengineering link and bam you are there
Since you are creating a hallow vacuum between your spoiler and blade, it’s gonna slow down that car a lot more than high wings.
Car looks awsome
I followed his exact steps and mines came out perfect . Thanks for the video .
What’s the attachment on the end of your rivet gun that allows you to screw on the rivet nut?? Helppp LOL
Looks really good!
where did you get the tail light sticker under the wing that says Camaro?
Great video my man
wow bro thank you so much for the video! instructions on this wicker bill were a little scary lol but your video made it a lot easier!
Way to go thanks for sharing...that wicker bill whips the ride well!!!

Slick Camaro I figured and bought one similar to the one you used lol, it's installed now, your video was really helpful, thanks man
What nose piece did you use for the rivet? Metric M5, M6, & M8 or in SAE 10-24, 1/4-20, & 5/16-18?

@@ToxicSnipezzzzz yea man I got mine as well! Can’t wait to install! Thanks for your input
Will this work on a blade spoiler?
zl1 1le wing is better in my opinion
i agree
Please. What makes the longer exhuast like that? Id like to install the same ones as you.
What size drills and rivet did u use no directions from 3d engineering
Did you ever figure this out? I’m trying to install mine and can’t figure it out how to do the rivet gun part of it
Where did you get that tool from

Will this fit the ss 1le spoiler
Nice work bro. That wickerbill is Fire. I need this ASAP. Your whole set up of the Camaro is nice as well.
Love the video homie keep em coming!!!
strong work sir.
Hey bro when u line it up for the holes the wicker has to sit flush with the stock spoiler huh
Leave the sticky.....its a seal to keep water out.

Billy 69 I don’t take my car trough an automatic wash so I wouldn’t know. But I’m pretty sure a touchless car wash would be fine
Great video .....
What was the size of the drill bit
If you're going to install this wicker bill as I just did today, they changed the size of the nutsert. You will need a 25/64" drill bit to drill the nutsert hole after you drill the pilot hole . I knew I’d find my answer in the comments. Thanks bud, I was like “tf are these plastic screws?!” Haha
So if used the bigger Drill Bit, i wont have to Buy A different Rivet Gun?
@Manny G No as long as you're using a rivnut gun not a rivet gun. A rivnut gun is different than a rivet gun. To be safe instead of putting holes all over your spoiler. Test one rivnut on a scrap piece of metal.

Fast is Fun the rivet tool in the description above is the exact one I used. It’s perfect for the parts that come in the package
Great tutorial!!!
What wicker bill is that? Can you please leave the information or a link... thanks in advance man👍
Daniel Izzard Info is in the description above
Ffs, i saw that rivet gun and went and got it from hf, drilled my hole, tried threading the rivet on.. wrong threads 😑 bruh. Lmfao
Did you end up installing? If yes, what did you need?👀
where you get it from
Josh Harrison ZLADDONS
Your brave man.....did you get nervous?
I noticed you swapped the rivnut tool out mid video from standard to metric thanks for the heads up
Whered you get that “camaro” third brake light man?
b r a d l e y I think I got it off of Amazon or EBay. It’s vinyl that says ‘Camaro’. And I just slapped it right on lol
Can you send the link for this wicker bill... thx
John Lorenzo link is in the description above
looks good man, like the way the wicker bill look on the full spoiler, and am considering for our 6th gen.
looks cool but i think it would make the car slower to much down force in the tail end
Vincenzo Catullo I doubt that would be the case if you’re racing on a track, because it’s attached directly to the spoiler. But it MIGHT slow it down if you’re on a drag strip but it definitely won’t be by much.

Just subbed and got a question. Where did you get the 3rd brake light cutout? I'm diggin the carbon fiber
C J I ordered it either off of Amazon or EBay

Nice ,do you think that will work on a convertible?
chris miller yes it will!
Love your car man. Have the same car but the bright red 1le and almost same mods 👍👍
would it fit in a blade type spoiler? i have 16 camaro rs.. thanks
Great video, but the background music is horrible bro...
That rivet tool is the most impossible thing to use. Wish you had explained it
todd560583 there are a few videos on YT that show how to use a rivet tool if you need help
mine came broken in half in the mail I'm pissed
triplethreat563 did you contact them?
Slick Camaro yes

I have a 2018 SS 1LE. I can’t find a ZL1 1LE spoiler that fits my car. Do you know of a company that makes one for my car?
