Yay! A new video from Colonial Patrick! Excellent as always. Thank you. I can hardly wait to see you give a tour of the New Tommy Bahama 19 & I hope you get a Classic 33 to tour as well. Two opposites in the trailer line-up are my two favorites lol
if i win the jackpot lottery i'll go straight in lakewood new jersey and i'm gonna buy me one of this interstate and bring it home in the philippines :) nice presentation mr. botticelli 😁👌
The most thorough walk-through (pictorial & narrative) I have seen since I started viewing 2016,17,18 models. Excellent emphasis on new changes. I am still 1-2 yrs. from pulling the trigger, but will keep checking Colonial
A great presentation of what I'm looking for... You and your outfit are on the top of my list to visit on a road trip... As I try to figure out how many dollars I have to work with. Your attention to detail is wonderful thank you... I like how you do Hands-On climb up and show the pros and cons
Well, I think I have seen just about every RV model there is. And this one is my Number One. This one right out of the box... colors and all. I love the light cabinets etc. The white leather however I might change to a light kaki or some light color other than a white. But I love everything about this one. I love how the back seats can go up and down easily. And listen if people have a problem with the uneven etc... there are pillow tops etc that you can easily sleep on top... plus it will protect the seats also. And I love how it can be two twin beds with room for you to get up etc. No I love everything about the Airstream. And I only just recently found these. This interstate is a better model for me as it is smaller than the Atlas etc. And seems like it would be easier to drive and park etc.
Well we must say that you doing very well premium job in representing it is an estate model , we are just not sure if we're going to go smaller or go with the new airstream travel trailer , but your presentation of this unit is very well prepared and done . Thank you very much for showing I must say you do a very good presentation on the airstream travel trailers as well .
My 1985 1400 sf manufactured home is on a Florida canal and cost me $175k in 2006. Yours doesn't include land or the alligator in the back canal, but very nice. Now I know why so many UA-camrs are building conversions of older base Sprinters into "tiny houses" on wheels.
I am glad you mentioned the other interior color choices Whew! Like I said on another video too much white for me lol my husband is Albino he would blend into the seat and go invisible on me lmao!
Great Video Patrick. I love this Airstream. Shopping around now for one in the Tampa Bay area. My husband and I are in our 60s and we read a book called "DIE BROKE". I have a new goal!!! ; - )
I just purchased a 2018 Regency Xalta LX which I am really happy with especially that it’s $60K cheaper and has most of the goodies the airstream has but I do love the finishes in the airstream and mine is all electric, no propane
If I had the money to get one I'd pay them to do a turquoise blue and white or red and white retro 50's style interior total awesomeness! At least on the travel trailers like the Flying Cloud :)
I can't take the credit tho my son thought of it and I was like yeah that would be awesome. I wonder what it would look like with a steampunk theme? Trick my Trailer needs to happen lol
the added solar panels is good and the resonator is good. They need to adapt the lithium Ion battery setup that Road trek offers. The multiplex wiring actually saves Airstream money that apparently is not passed onto the consumer. I prefer the toggle switches. The awning improvement will hopefully work better than the previous. I have a 2015 Grand tour that we really like. The undercarriage lighting is cool.
Patrick, Thank you for your thorough walk-through of the new Interstate. I am sorry to read the negative comments when viewers are not forced to view these informative videos. Perhaps they should try representing something more useful than a spoiled snarky opinion and see what others have to say about their work. Again thank you. One question? What are owner reports on 4WD versus Air suspension on overall handling and fuel mileage?
Thank you for the comment. The Air Ride suspension offers superior handling and increased comfort for rear passengers. The 4WD model is a bit bouncier for rear passengers.
Overrated & doesn't even have features some euro models have - for less than half the price, including a non-lumpy bed to not break your spine on! Who could ever sleep over those un-level seats? No extra beds, was disappointed in watching this
Nice walk-thru. My only negative comment is the one for most RVs, generator noise...why not a system that would house the generator on a platform that could be hydraulicly (sp) lowered and raised to separate the generator from the chassis.and there by lower the noise level to the interior compartment. With rubber footings to keep it slightly above or off ground level. I seen this on some Australian brands but with out the hydraulics, I added that as a customer convenience. Thanks again for a through tour, I will one day own one!
That nice vans,if in back or sleeping room you have elesastic door for private room to changing than that perfect because people cannot see me from front.
@Colonial Airstream your wellcome.because i think this interior is best than other spinter for simple touring vans with large sleeping room and funiture in nice place.
in the summer the A.C. and generator will be running non stop to be comfortable. Less than a 2 day weekend run time in July is a bit weak and a longer trip.
I would like to see one where they get rid of the extra seats in the back, make a dry bath, full skinny fridge with pull out cabinet freezer, and extend the galley.
Very nice but two things I'm not sure about, at 10:21 you see the way the solar panels are fixed to the roof...looks a bit tacky, imo. Also, 18 miles to the gallon seems pretty poor fuel consumption?
any word on when airstream will release an interstate with a slide-out. The competitors have that option and it is a game changer with the layout and space.
A slide out requires a Sprinter with a sliding door on the drivers side which is hard to get with the features that Airstream specs them out with. Also other manufacturers that offer the slide outs on a class B vans still only sell about 10% of their product that way and the rest are floor plans without slideouts.
Thank you. Airstream and Mercedes provide a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. The Engine has a 100,000 mile warranty. The batteries are 12V AGM style, two in parallel. Patrick
If I have enough money, I will buy a class B RV, for both work and travel! In anywhere, on office, on trip, I always get a home with basic needs on wheels, and not draw many attentions!
I wish you could get it with two front swivel seats with a dining table and in lieu of the two second seats, have more storage on one side and a clothes closet on the other side.
Do you have new information for the 2019 for the Grand tour & lounge, Any lithium batteries are they getting rid of the propane generator and going all electric feel like the lack of these things are the only things that stop me from purchasing a new airstream extended lounge. I hope they come around to the lithium and get rid of the generator and add a 48 V battery package. also induction cooktop. Ben
Ben, thank you for the message. There are many items Airstream is looking into for future model years. I don't believe thee are included on the 2019's.
Nice video, thanks! Wonder when Airstream will ever increase sleeping capacity of these MB Sprinter Interstates like Road Trek. Maybe their market is 90% retired couples but younger families need at the very least, sleeping for 4. Roadtrek has sleeping pads that fold across two seats (in the versions with 2nd row seats) to add sleeping for 2 in the front. Why can't Airstream do this also? Or I wonder if Roadtrek's sleeping pads will fit on the Interstate's chairs since they're pretty similar?
Airstream will have an air mattress option available next year that will assemble across the front drivers and passengers chairs to sleep one adult. We had this on display at Hershey and I tried it out and it is way more comfortable than the Roadtrek 1.5" mattress system.
I'm in complete shock Airstream put a generator on this unit. You could easily replace that with the correct large capacity pure sine wave inverter and a couple of large deep cycle lithium-ion batteries and the under the hood generator unit as a backup (i.e. Roadtrek). More power no noise, no Co2 in nature. Come on Airstream update yourself. You did with the multiplex wiring. Don't stop there.
Thank you for your comment and opinion. Unfortunately the underhood generator is not approved for OEM installs, therefore it is not available through Airstream due to their partnership with Mercedes Bens of North America.
OMG....(where do I begin?)...LOve this coach. LOve all aspects. Fit...Finish...Technology....and then you see a list price of $176K...and the WTF moment happens. So, when you pay $176K...it is unacceptable, to have a roof structure, that looks as if some deranged person with a caulk gun, went insane. When you pay $176K, the solar panels, it should not look as such an afterthought, that not only are they drilled into roof structure ( this always be limited and avoided when possible, in order to prevent subsequent leaks...and North Eastern rust...modern day adhesive's or a framing system is best) but they should also have a wind-foil or deflector, to prevent wind, rain, ice, bugs and possibly hitchhikers from getting trapped underneath the panels. So bottom line.... both the presentation and vehicle, are absolute first rate....but the lack of reality in the asking price, the borderline absurd drilling and cartoonish caulking of the roof....has me (and I'm sure others) concerned with going this route.Sunday is the CT international RV show, and I will be educating myself on such vehicles, so that I can make a more educated decision on a purchase that I will be making within the next month or so ....but thus far, the one thing that seems to be consistent, is that fit-finish and compromised and excessive drilling and subsequent caulking and so forth...just seems too frequent.Did I mention how much I love this Coach???
Great video! But you start out with the increase in price due to 3 items that were optional but are now standard. But in all reality you are paying for those "standard options" due to the price increase. Other than that, I love it. And compared to others, getting alot of value for your money.
Thanks for watching. I mentioned the total price increase then broke it down that the rice increase was actually less because those three factory options that had a high take rate, are now standard.
If I bought this unit I would love to use it as much as possible.....but I cannot justify the cost if it is not all season van...please airstream make an all season van for temps below freezing.....Colonial is in NJ.....they know what I mean
Edwin, I use my own personal Airstream Class B year round. The tanks are heated and withstand temperatures down to about 25 degrees. I then drain out the water and I can still cook and sleep in it. The toilet can be used and flushed using diluted RV antifreeze.
Thank you for the reply....I love this coach...i really do.....I just think for the money the tanks and lines could be inside....I live in bergen county and I would love to have this in freezing temps and even colder.....i would love to make AC runs and not stay in $500 hotel room on the weekends...I know Airstream is quality....I will wait for it.....they will do it...I know it
We got one last year in Dubai, it has so many many electrical problems, these shades always stuck or jamming, noisy bumpy very bad gas efficiency, many many problems, its a moving head ache
Yay! A new video from Colonial Patrick! Excellent as always. Thank you. I can hardly wait to see you give a tour of the New Tommy Bahama 19 & I hope you get a Classic 33 to tour as well. Two opposites in the trailer line-up are my two favorites lol
Thank you for watching. Both are on the schedule over this summer.
Evan Streamer ,,
This has now sold me....i want an rv but nothing too crazy like a large bus....jusr "big enough" for me. 😁😁😁😁😍😍😍😍😍
Bad video
Best Van Conversion available!! Patrick you are a fantastic salesman, that knows his product backwards and forwards!
Gregory, Thank you for watching and for the comment. Patrick

Alex, thanks you for the comment, I look forward to working with you when you are ready.
Airstrean is still #1 in quality, and Patrick is still #1 with presentation!
Thank you very much.
A great presentation of what I'm looking for... You and your outfit are on the top of my list to visit on a road trip... As I try to figure out how many dollars I have to work with. Your attention to detail is wonderful thank you... I like how you do Hands-On climb up and show the pros and cons

You do the best walk throughs of anyone on UA-cam. And I love your other channel as well. Thanks.
Thank you very much.
one of the BEST videos i've ever seen explaining in GREAT details all about this awesome 2018 airstream ext, love it! great job!
Riko, thanks for watching. Patrick
Best, most concise presentations in the industry.
Wow Ron thank you very much.
Well we must say that you doing very well premium job in representing it is an estate model , we are just not sure if we're going to go smaller or go with the new airstream travel trailer , but your presentation of this unit is very well prepared and done . Thank you very much for showing
I must say you do a very good presentation on the airstream travel trailers as well .
Thank you very much for watching and enjoying.
Beautiful!! I love the attention to detail. Great presentation. You get what you pay for.
Thank you very much for watching.
Great video, wish my 2016 had all the touch screens!
Charles, they do make it a bit cleaner looking and function well.
Wow even the wood underneath if finished! Nice!
Thank you very much for watching.
This is a luxury condo studio on wheels. If you hit the road on weekends for events, this is the way to go.
Thanks for watching Sandra.
I’m in love with airstream and your videos. Also I enjoy hearing your last name, it’s so unique!
Thank you very much.

Yes, there are always a few choices for décor.
Most knowledgeable host.
I have a floor plan idea.
I consider it to be a hotel suite on wheels.
Ray Ramano is looking for a royalty check
Thanks for watching and enjoying. Ill have my agent contact his.
Very thorough review. There should be video of Dos and Donts or introduction to normal operations video for newbies.
Great video
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion.
Great Video Patrick. I love this Airstream. Shopping around now for one in the Tampa Bay area. My husband and I are in our 60s and we read a book called "DIE BROKE". I have a new goal!!! ; - )
Melody, thanks for watching. I would love the opportunity to earn your business. Patrick
You're looking good Patrick. seem more relaxed (not that you weren't before)
Thank you very much, I appreciate that.
Good job. excellent tour of a fine coach.
Thank you Steve
I love the European style frameless cabinetry.
Thanks for checking us out.
Yes, it doesnt have that clunky kind of trailer park look of many US RVs.
Am I the only one that thinks the presenter sounds like Ray Romano?
Ha ha ha
Yeah. I thought it was another Ice Age movie at first.
urgetodriv
urgetodrive Sort of !
Who is Ray Romano?
Another beautiful machine. Thanks for showing it to us. :-)
Daniel, thank you very much for watching.

Sounds interesting. Where are the dealers located for service and support? How do they do on the resale market?
Thank you for replying I live in the UK does not often that hot here,I would have run the a/c from the start
I would love to visit your area.
Damn that was through, excellent job.
Thank you Lloyd.
what a awesome presentation.
Thank you very much.
I like van like this, no need bed just smart chair 😀
Thanks for watching.
Well presented with tons of info. Is the entertainment system blue tooth and wi-fi enabled with a smart tv for casting ?...Thanks job well done.
looks like a very nicely appointed, plush VERY cramped hallway. Need a wide body if your gonna out fit those like that.
Thanks for checking us out John.
Colonial Airstream I'd thank-you to encourage a wide body build I'd like a non cramp hallway version
WOW... I think this is what you call a very high end stealth camper. Just too many bells and whistles for such a small space!
Thanks for checking us out.
I just like to watch Patrick.. he’s so handsome❣️🥰
Thank you Cynthia
Keeps me busy in the evenings wife’s watching reality TV,I pad headphones
Planning and research is good.
If I had the money to get one I'd pay them to do a turquoise blue and white or red and white retro 50's style interior total awesomeness! At least on the travel trailers like the Flying Cloud :)
That would be a cool décor.

I agree Great Job on the presentation. Sold
Thank you.
It's a nice unit, but there's an incredible number of little motors to give you trouble forever.
Thanks for watching.

my wife and i would get an airstream if only we could afford one
Thank you very much for watching.
Don't do it!
Ineke Mateman why not?
Overrated & doesn't even have features some euro models have - for less than half the price, including a non-lumpy bed to not break your spine on! Who could ever sleep over those un-level seats? No extra beds, was disappointed in watching this
i just decided to spend a good$25k on a camper and move it about. Its lovely and never needs to go to the mechanic
Excellent job! Thank you!!!
Thank you Christopher.
Okay, we get that you LOVE LOVE LOVE the panels, yes, you love the panels and the panels. Maybe you should have mentioned the panels.
Geez Don lighten up a bit, your day will be more enjoyable.
Great tour!
Richard, thank you for watching.

We really have our hearts set on this one!
Call me sometime, I would love to sell you one. Patrick 800 265 9019
Beautiful video
Thank you.
You mentioned some folks like to hear “white noises “ but that would mean that you would have to run your generator or keep the coach idling
Correct?
You would run the generator to run the roof top AC.
That nice vans,if in back or sleeping room you have elesastic door for private room to changing than that perfect because people cannot see me from front.
Thanks for the suggestion.
@Colonial Airstream your wellcome.because i think this interior is best than other spinter for simple touring vans with large sleeping room and funiture in nice place.
LUV the tommy Bahama lol how much is this nice for just me
Thank you. Give us a call sometime.
Extremely Great RV!
Thank you for checking us out.
Great video. Does Airstream make a Class B with induction cooktop and no propane usage in coach? Thank you.
Airstream currently has LP in the coach for cooking, generator and heating.
loved the vid
Thank you.
Thank you. Very informative
You are welcome.
I liked everything I saw but I could just that you can put at least a small closet which has the provisions of clothes and shoes.
Thanks
There is an optional wardrobe that hangs over one of the rear side jump seats.
How does the air-conditioning operate for your passengers going down the road? Do you have to run the generator while driving?
The Sprinter dash air is sufficient for cooling the van. You are welcome to run the generator and the roof top A/C if you feel necessary.
@@colonialairstream Thank you!
in the summer the A.C. and generator will be running non stop to be comfortable. Less than a 2 day weekend run time in July is a bit weak and a longer trip.
You can also plug the RV in at a campground.
Love it! 😊💙👍
Thanks Walter.
Where can you find used vans like this or the unity's, in Europe i can't find anything.. HELP?
You can find them everywhere. Trick is you gotta have old money.
I would like to see one where they get rid of the extra seats in the back, make a dry bath, full skinny fridge with pull out cabinet freezer, and extend the galley.
That would be a good one.
I have a question I love the 23D International signature am I able to tow a base camp behind the Flying Cloud
We do not recommend towing a travel trailer behind a travel trailer. You can tow either behind the Interstate Van.
Colonial Airstream thank you that's very helpful
Very nice but two things I'm not sure about, at 10:21 you see the way the solar panels are fixed to the roof...looks a bit tacky, imo. Also, 18 miles to the gallon seems pretty poor fuel consumption?
John thank you for watching and for your comments. We believe 18MPG is excellent for a vehicle that has a GVWR of 11030#.
any word on when airstream will release an interstate with a slide-out. The competitors have that option and it is a game changer with the layout and space.
A slide out requires a Sprinter with a sliding door on the drivers side which is hard to get with the features that Airstream specs them out with. Also other manufacturers that offer the slide outs on a class B vans still only sell about 10% of their product that way and the rest are floor plans without slideouts.
thanks for the reply patrick. great video as always. cheers.
Great Presentation Steve,.. What's the Warranty on the 2018 and what kind of Coach Batteries??
Class B's are great for work and play.
I wish you could get it with two front swivel seats with a dining table and in lieu of the two second seats, have more storage on one side and a clothes closet on the other side.
Did you see the Interstate Grand Tour floor plan yet?
love this car
Thank you.
I'd like to take this to Algonquin Park.
No you are talking.
The bed all folded down is closer to a CAL king bed just shy by 2” on either side … not bad
Its really large compared to the size of the van.
I always wonder where do u flush all ur water from the restroom once it's full
Now you know.
good job dude!!
Thanks Monique.
Do the swivel chairs convert to two parallel beds if you want?
The front row can be converted to a perpendicular bed with an optional air mattress.
Is it possible to get a compost toilet instead?
You can install one aftermarket.
Sure why not .Why you're at it let's replace toilet paper with the Sears catalog.Let me guess stealth camper?
10:25 The solar panels are not flush with the roof. Won't it cause problems when driving?
We haven't had any reported challenges with them.
Just wondering ..... Does Airstream have any motorhomes for use during the winter (Canada)?
All Airstreams built today have heated tanks for unexpected drops in temperatures.
You mentioned that in your video above, but what about for -25 to -35 C below real winter weather?
Heather, it it not recommended to leave water in the systems when it is that cold.
Thank you for your assistance.
love this
Thanks for checking out Colonial Airstream.
Still only provides sleeping for 3 instead of the needed 4
Are they ever going to go to Underhood generator, like everyone else ?
If Mercedes Benz approves it for OEM upfitters, it may be considered.
That rear TV is a problem. Any way to deal with it sticking out in the walkway?
It can be positioned on an angle and out of the way when you are not in travel.
Can it just be removed? I might be inclined to just replace it with a smaller one.
Yes it can be removed.
I'm in complete shock Airstream put a generator on this unit. You could easily replace that with the correct large capacity pure sine wave inverter and a couple of large deep cycle lithium-ion batteries and the under the hood generator unit as a backup (i.e. Roadtrek). Thank you for your comment and opinion. Unfortunately the underhood generator is not approved for OEM installs, therefore it is not available through Airstream due to their partnership with Mercedes Bens of North America.

This is USA.

The only two tanks that are outside are the fresh and grey.
How much is that model? Just curious 😄
The new 2019's range from 175-198K.
Is the rear under floor cooler storage area no longer there?
It is deleted if you order the optional VB Air Ride suspension.
What would be the coldest weather that you would camp with this?
I would recommend 22 degrees and up.
Thanks
