  • 🚗 Good news! Car prices are finally dropping. Manufacturers are offering up to 20% off MSRP because people aren't buying. Now, you can negotiate prices, pick your color and trim, and even ask for a second key. It's a great time for consumers!
⚠️ But there's a downside. Technicians and employees are under attack. Car manufacturers, like Tesla, are cutting jobs and benefits to cover losses from unsold cars. Service departments are marking up parts and labor to recover costs. Inflation is hitting us all, and these companies are making it worse.
👨‍🔧 I quit working for big companies like Toyota because of their unfair practices. Now, I run my own business, and it's the best decision I've made. If you're an auto technician or a consumer tired of being ripped off, this video is for you!
🔍 In this video, I break down:
The car market crash and its impact
    How manufacturers' strategies backfired
The reality for auto technicians and service departments
Why prices are finally coming down

It makes no sense for the modern mechanic to work for anyone else. The only benefit is the lift when doing big jobs, like engines and transmissions. I quit being a mechanic in 2013 after 10 years as a dealer mechanic. While working as a mechanic (at the old Saturn dealership in Roswell, GA), I went to school at Kennesaw State University in the evenings. Being from Georgia, you may have heard of this school 😄.
Anyway, if I needed to go back to wrenching, I would either work from home or be a mobile mechanic. Shops are charging nearly $200 per labor hour, the mechanic may get $30 at most. As a mobile mechanic, I would charge $100 per labor hour and be extremely happy with that.

Start a mobile mechanic service people will have to pay to have their cars repaired as they can't afford new ones. Recently I have paid for brakes tires some oxygen sensor to pass a smog test on my two clunker cars. Within 2 years Shocks, de-carbonizing engine on my mazda 3, starter on my truck.
