- David and Tamela Mann's love story began when they were teenagers growing up in Fort Worth, Texas. They met at church and quickly became close friends, often singing together in the church choir.
Their friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship, and they got married in 1988 when they were both in their early twenties. At the time, David was pursuing a career as a gospel singer, and Tamela was a hair stylist.
Together, they pursued their dreams and supported each other every step of the way. David became a successful gospel artist, while Tamela pursued a career in acting, landing roles in TV shows such as "Meet the Browns" and movies such as "Madea's Big Happy Family."
Throughout their marriage, they have faced many challenges, including health issues and financial struggles. But through it all, they have remained devoted to each other, relying on their faith and their love to overcome any obstacle.
They have also worked together as a team, collaborating on music and TV projects such as the reality show "Meet the Manns," which documented their lives and their family's adventures.
