I got lots of respect for the tow truck companies around the world this job can be very dangerous.
First off my prayers go out to the driver for suffering a medical condition while driving that’s the worst time for anything like that to happen while hauling nearly 80k, also shoutout to the towing company for risking their lives to save the hauler, I’ve seen drivers rush past these guy on the side of the road and it’s scary. Nice save gents
Thank you JR!
You mean multi-million not 50K the race cars in there are probably a million a piece tools the rig engines spare parts
@@travisrich2486 they meant the weight being 80k not the cost lol but yeah its alot of money
only the best get that once in a life time call I couldn't even imagine the props due to you for saving the day for stuart-hause, perfect recovery and professionalism what fire? lol
I Really hope the Nascar announcers give a shout out to murphys diesel during the race for saving the day for #98 and for the whole Vegas race really.
And that they did I believe I saw the heavy wrecker on tv
@@rocks-if6uh 9
They did!
@@ChampaBayBeast how that is cool
@@bradleyheitz9210 Go eat a Snickers bar dude !!
MURPHY'S DIESEL saves the day & the race!! Glad things weren't worse & driver is on the mend. Way to go guys! Be safe
Glad drivers are Ok. It would be cool if NASCAR would give you a few tickets to the race. Was by Texas Speedway a few weeks ago. There was a impressive fleet of NASCAR Haulers parked there. Excellent recovery. The race goes on thanks.
I'm truly amazed that the whole rig didn't topple over and roll down the hill just because the cars are in the top part of the hauler and it's top heavy. Really amazing recovery of the whole thing. My hat is off to the Murphys whole crew.
I've got a ton of respect for you guys, a friend of mine was a wrecker driver, and was killed while working an accident on I-20 just east of Ranger hill. Be safe..
Thanks Mike!
I'm sorry to hear that. I've been doing this ten years and the roads were very poorly maintained here last winter. First time ever I've been afraid. Guy I used to work with at another company when I first started towing was killed last year. He was a tow operator for over 15 years and got out of it. He was driving a roll off when he got killed. There was some safety switch on a garbage compactor bin that was not working. The thing started to pack and one side of the compactor was unhooked and the bin swung over and pinned him against a wall. Years of literally dodging death as a tow truck driver and he got killed by a f'ing garbage bin.
@@juliogonzo2718 I've seen a lot of bad accidents I've had a CDL for 35 years. We're not promised tomorrow.
@@mikeross5927 yup. I watched a man die last fall. Drove up on the accident a couple minutes after it happend. He was driving a Chevy cruze and played chicken with an f250. Don't know if he was high or what. I just stood there like a dummy with my flashlight as someone moved him and laid him on his back. His airway became obstructed. I even said "shouldn't he be on his side?" He had his wife or girlfriend in the car too. She died a few weeks later. I had to go back 6 hours later and tow both vehicles. The driver of the pickup came to the yard the next day and was a basket case. I wasn't there thankfully because seeing a broken innocent man would have been worse than what I saw. I guess he was screaming "I didn't mean to kill him" hysterically while his wife tried to calm him. It was totally not his fault. He tried to avoid the car but the car was shadowing his movements. I hope he and his family are ok.
People don't realise the work these guys do. I've needed a tow in my time, after a drunk driver went head on into me at speed ( yes, that sorta speed as in the old days of up it all night ) and luckily I had a pro. You guys rock and are well respected in the transport community.
On a side note, why is it always a Pete and not a shitty old KW? 😄
Truck on.
🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
Highways thru Hell ….. got me hooked on watching guys like you and man it’s dangerous but Damn Impressive work !!!
Thanks for watching!
Me too...the owner is 1 funny guy....the tracks on his wifes truck was epic...this is why we cant have nice things....just so a great guy
This muat have been the wreck we saw on our way back to phoenix from the grand canyon. Traffic was waaaaaaaayyyyy backed up. Awesome recovery
I was in the backup when this happened. Great job guys that was very close to a roll over that's a hell of a drop off on that left side.
Thanks Ronald!
Our biggest hold up wasn't you guys it was the fools who kept going in the left lane knowing it was closed great job on keeping traffic going.
@@ronaldsears834 just my opinion but this is exactly why all lanes should be shut down completely while these tow drivers complete the rescue of the vehicles involved so they don’t have to be constantly looking over their shoulders to see some jerk come barreling down a closed lane because they think they’re more important than anyone else out on the road!! At a time like this, nobody is more important than these rescue crews trying to get things cleaned up and open again and if they didn’t have to worry about watching their backs to be sure they aren’t gonna get crushed by someone in a damn hurry then they could probly have the scene cleared and open in half the time it takes em now. Nobody puts any value on these tow drivers lives anymore it seems and they are just out there trying to clean up everybody else’s screw ups to provide a living for their families. Shut down the damn road and make sure these guys go home safely please!!
I know you haul valuable stuff all the time, but this has to be a fairly rare and very cool recovery.
A NASCAR hauler recovery is very rare….and to be able to make a recovery video out of it…super rare.
@@MURPHYSDIESEL huge Nascar fan here, I bet it was really cool and fun experience. Found your channel recently love the content you guys bring.
Agree, but the ramen noodle recovery was a top cool video too.
Collin and chris did an outstanding job i think they earned a raise for saving the race.
Psh.
Plus Collin and his "peak male performance" that's top grade stuff. Hard to find now days. 😂😂
I used to tow out of Winslow. It's awesome to see a job done in my neck of the woods lol. This looks like the Winona area. That place is notorious for wrecks. I used to call it the 40-100. From Flagstaff to Holbrook the roads are questionable because of the sudden elevation change from 5000' to 7000' in just 50 miles, Winslow getting little to no snow to Flagstaff getting lots of snow 😳. I loved it and, I miss it! Good work boys! Be careful and watch your 6! Be safe out there.
Just popped up in my algorithms,,hell ya,,,drove an ltl route for more than 10 years,,,,guys like you saved my ass more than a few times,,,,and you guys are crazy lol, so glad that shoulder didn't give way..🤓🇺🇲💯🍺🍕
Thanks Tim!
That was awesome to watch, and I loved the "ADOT yelln' again" that made my day!
Sweet murphys diesel, I needed a hot cup of recovery this morning to get me moving . Glad to to see you back in the last few videos gabe.
That was a great video guys, professionals with a chuckle 😄 better than the wrecker shows on TV again great job
Thanks Brian!
That will make you pucker up. All the money wrapped up in equipment on both sides. Well done.
I guess they where coming down the mountain pass on I-40 out of Flagstaff. Lucky as hell that whole rig did not roll all the way down that hill. Been down that hill out of Flagstaff a lot of times myself as an OTR driver.
Great job guy's on the recovery of a dangerous situation and getting SHR to the track an amazing job by all🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤙
Thank you!
The guys keep the world going in a positive way. Much respect. Nascar fan
This is the first of your videos that I have seen. You can't beat the content on this one. 👍
Great job on the recovery.
Racecar haulers are definitely a different monster....
Like my Monster Energy pun there?
Lol
I blew through Vegas on Sunday morning around 4:30 am. So glad I took 95 south. Hope all involved are ok.
I was heading west and was in the traffic back up. When I saw it was Murphy's I was waiting for the video.
I can't for the life of me figure 1 reason that truck shouldn't have been upside down at the bottom of that hill, you guys really saved this bad situation from being a whole lot worse. Awesome team y'all have.
My dad probably would’ve loved to do this. He’s a tow truck driver him self and loves watching nascar
My uncle used to be a tow truck driver, nice job on the recovery.
Thanks Danny!
It’s sad to see such beautiful trucks getting totaled but I’m glad the drivers made it out ok
Ohhh that truck is far from totaled
We had a driver run his rig into a concrete barrier that had similar, if not worse damage. They can section the frame and replace the bent section, new steer axle, everything else is mostly cosmetic. If that rig rolls across a salvage auction someone will put it back to work in no time.
Yea that guy was a bit over evaluating. That rig had a lot of damage but it will be repaired and live again to haul.
We used to laugh when the haulers left the tracks..IF the cops let them out in traffic they would throw them a hat :)
Killer episode 🔥👍🏼, found the channel last night and pretty much watched every one. Keep it up fellers.. We out here on the east coast just seeing what you guys are doin over there. #keepontruckin
Just found Murphy's site. We are at exit 1 on 40. Good job. We will talk more later.
i literally was passed by Kevin Harvixk, Chris Briscoe and Ty Dillon's haulers in Arkansas the other day, thought that pretty neat cause we dont get to see that everyday down here
I had it happen with some frequency years ago before I paid attention to nascar. Also have seen many of the rigs getting washed and polished in Phoenix well I was doing the same
@@jeremybaker5444 that's pretty cool, I used to be into nascar back in the Dale senior, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson days
@@kuntrygam3r996 I liked Sr and the Labonte brothers. Then the driver that went into the 5 &18 has been my driver since, I'll follow him to the 8 car
Bubba sucks
Now that was badass you guys did a great job at that I just love how williams all work together and joke around
Man I drive a flatbed tow truck but thore wreckers are massive trucks. Sucks my company doesn't have one yet. Maybe some day
Great job guys. Keeping it classy saving the day. 👌 awesome.
You guys did an awesome job! Stay safe out there on the roads!
Thanks John!
I think some VIP tickets to a couple of races is in order! And that’s a bad ass “Pete!”
Nothin' like a blown steer tire. You're going for a ride every time. That guard rail was in the right spot. It could have been much worse, like into a tree down a hill.

TRAIL MATER in my opinion is by far the best setup out there for off-road and recovery...
Not to mention the driving skills Rori possess is unmatched in my opinion..
Your channel should blow up perty soon..!!!!
You have great content and I enjoy the hidden humor and sarcasm...
They all have great channels! We enjoy watching some of them ourselves!
rob pratt is a great channel to watch also
@@rftsfan1479 Yes...I watch his channel also..!!!
A great man he is..
I wonder who invented that type of wrecker?(I would guess and engineer or team of engineers)It's absolutely ingenious.
The engineers at Chattanooga Tennessee based Miller Industries; the largest tow manufacturer in the world with 7 brands.
Ngl looking at this as someone who doesn’t have experience with heavy wreckers and such, I know that trailer doesn’t have any good points. My first idea would be to have 2-3 heavy wreckers pick the rear end of that trailer up on slings and pull the truck forward with the trailer attached and held up by slings and slowly pull the truck back onto the road.
Good luck and come out with a WIN 🏁🏆🏁
“Do you still work here?”
No, stupid, I just stopped by for fresh coffee !!!
Does this make you guys Mater from cars and you were getting Mac out of the ditch. And lightning McQueen is in the trailer
Definitely going to be a job opening to haul NASCARs
Dayum near a thermal event with all that welding by the starter, eh! that would have been a real mess. I'm sure Ant is thankful it didn't lite up.
only had one issue with your recovery. I was taught never pull on one frame rail up front- loop a chain between the front tow/spots and pull from there. less likely to diamond the frame.
Looks like a need for a rule change on the trailers. Build in some places to hook onto in the event this kind of thing happens again. Great job to the crew for recovery.
Was thinking the same. Lift rings on top like on a locomotive.
Know I known why Tony's been so pissed lately, oh my bad, he is always pissed!
That's one really well built guardrail
The state will charge them for replacement of the guard rail. Ask me how I know!
@@ap101081 I'm guessing by your name...😉
Oh Man! Thank you Jesus ! Playing Healing over the Driver. So Sorry the team has to endure this. God Bless yall for this recovery
That was cool. This year great fan of the Xfinity series. My homie SVG seems to be going good.
Never thought I’d hear all our lil hometown names out there on the ol UA-cam so damn cool.
North Carolina on the truck but Tennessee tags on the same truck. Taking advantage of Tennessees vehicle tax prices compared to North Carolina’s maybe?
Never fail to impress ! Nice work.
Badass video. Thanks for recording the experience!
Thanks for watching!
saw my last name so I clicked but stayed for the content lol
Great job guys and enjoy the races.
Thanks Dana!
These guys are pretty good dudes. They know their sh*t from videos I’ve seen.
Gentry and sons sent me over love this kind of stuff
@14:40 nice load coming through
I understand there is a truck driver position open at Stewart Haas racing!! Maybe Bubba can apply?? Oh wait you have to turn right and left!! Never mind.
That would be scary if he had his CDL
glad the hauler made it to the race with another rig great job
Thank you!
That boss is cool as shit.
Wrecker Rick is a Badass.. Nicely done 👍
Great job!!! And got the hauler to the track!!!

Thanks so much
Great job guys !!! Be safe out there !
Great job guys!!! 🤜🤛
I’m kinda curious what caused the accident. It certainly cannot be driver error. Those rigs are driven by the proudest most professional drivers out there.
The driver had a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital.
Most all of us truck drivers are proud of what we do and we are professionals as well. There are some boneheads out there though. We don't think of ourselves as being any better than any other driver. We all have a job to do and to do it safely.
Great job. I use to drive one we would scale out at 84 thousand. Noone really screwed with us .
As a tow truck driver I feel we have a little more leway with authoritys cuz who do they call when they need help... A tow truck lol
FRICKIN AWESOME I'll buy the tractor!
Props to you and your co-workers
Wonder if Bubba was driving that truck and the steering broke?
i was screaming there is a battery disconnect switch behind driver step lmao
😂
BEEN WAITING ALL MORNING FOR MURPHYS HELL YA
"I Can't get over anymore "
Cuts to the road with an unused lane lol

It would be cool for you to record the CB chatter and overlay it in the video. Truck drivers are hilarious.
I just came across your channel. New subscriber.

Where the pics of y'all's Dub9er hooked and getting it to vegas
Man--you guys have some messed -up rigs pulled in that yard. Looks like as bomb went off- Lots of long days/nights-
Great job giys
Must have been the Goodyear tires !!
I like how Tony has all of his Truck's tagged in Tennessee and I don't think that where they are from!!!!
Don't know Do Ya🤦🏻♂️
Pacar lease tractors. Peterbuilt / Kenworth.
ya all funny as hell ...
great job getting that shit out of that situation
Thanks Joe!
I was wondering what happened to that guardrail…
Maybe Bubba Smollett hooked him into the fence
I love your background music
I hope the driver of the truck is Ok and the and the Pete can be saved
You guys were asking a lot out of that nylon sling through the rim. We're you able to put softeners in there?
The rim sling with the loops on the ends that you saw on the wheel is specifically made for pulling the wheels. I forget what they're made out of. It's not just a normal strap. Ron Pratt will sometimes put a zip tie on the end loop to make it easier to thread through the holes in the rims when he's wearing heavy gloves in the winter.
@@elizabethbottroff1218 specific side pull slings? That's new.
First thought is did the left front Blow and suck Driver into Guard rail
Guardrail one, Peterbilt zero. I can't really believe that the Peterbilt is totaled.
It’s not
Good job guys 👍👍🏁🏁
Thanks Jim!
I passed by that wreck looked bad
Yikes!! Somebody's got some explaining to do. . .
