The blue stripes on the Israeli flag were originally a dark blue. But the blue stripes were hard to distinguish in the evening hours on ships at sea. For this reason the stripes were changed to a lighter blue.
Some points about Rabbi Paltiel's speech here: (1) M.M. Schneerson was/is not Moshiach מָשִׁיחַ. As Maimonides and others explain quite clearly, Moshiach must be alive and physically present on Planet Earth. He doesn't return in a "Second Coming", e.g. Jesus Christ or "The Rebbe". 🤦♂ M.M. Schneerson also was not a prophet נָבִיא. He was, and is not to those meshugannehs that think he is still alive or present somehow, the wisest Jew or person of this current era. Yes, he was wise on many fronts but he was absolutely not a prophet or of course, the Messiah. (2) The correct colour/hue of Tekhelet is not dark blue or navy blue. It is turquoise/sky blue. Also... Ptil Tekhelet's blue and white tzitzit is fraudulent. i.e. Murex Trunculus is not the Hilazon חילזון. There is a reason none of the leading Rabbis and Gedolim have issued a Psak approving Ptil Tekhelet's tzitzit. M.M. Schneerson was correct that the real, kosher, fair dinkum Hilazon and the knowhow/tech to create the blue thread will be revealed in the Messianic Era. (3) The first thoughts in the minds of various people in Europe about a Zionist Project started in late 1815. The idea that Zionism was conceived in the the 1890's is not correct. (4) In 1864, the Jewish poet Ludwig August Frankl named blue and white “The Colours of Judah” in a poem not so surprisingly called “Judah’s Colours.” An excerpt: “When sublime feelings his heart fill, he is mantled in the colors of his country ... Blue and white are the colors of Judah; white is the radiance of the priesthood, and blue, the splendors of the firmament.” Frankl's patrons were the Rothschild family in Vienna. His poem inspired the colours of the Israeli flag that was officialy presented at the First Zionist Conference in Basel in 1897. So even though no one at that time knew what the exact hue of Tekhelet was, they still used it as one of the two colours for the Zionist Project's flag. A bold flag design was a lynchpin of their project. (5) Like with the ascendancy of Moses, no one will "elect" Moshiach. He is anointed and appointed by G-d. His rise to power unfolds over time and is assisted/facilitated by G-d, just like with Joseph and Moses. (6) Theodore Herzl was a front man, puppet for other people. He was not the "ideas man" of the project. He was useful to them as a telegenic, charming, well spoken leader. Regarding his merit, look what happened with his children... (7) Lubavitch, post the rise of M.M.Schneerson in 1951, has been a staunchly Zionist organisation, even though "The Rebbe" never visited the Holy Land. Take note also... Rabbi Yossi Paltiel is not qualified to counsel about important issues like: - The Gaza-Hostage Ceasefire Deal - The Temple Mount/Haram al Sharif He should stick to much easier subjects and issues requiring problem solving. Agudas Rabanai Chabad in Israel has limited influence. Lubavitchers who vote for aguda do it mostly because of the rebbes instruction you mentioned and not because the beis din instructed. Besides the Pikuach Nefesh claim, aguda, or Gimels most prominent leader was a raging active misnaged who said terrible things about the Rebbe and fostered a political atmosphere that targeted lubavitch children in frum areas in the 90s. We had graffiti's sprayed with derogatory terms and kids got ganged on an beaten. This party is not votable for me . I guess the claim that this is not a truly frum party, I just say there's no chance I'm casting a vote for them. Purely emotional claim

Notice the use of a hexagram in witchcraft? Hex means "witchcraft" and is associated with the number 6. 🔯✡️🇮🇱 = 666?
