    Oil-Free WFPB Thepla Flatbread Recipe
    3/4 cup wholemeal flour
    60 grams fenugreek leaves
    1 tablespoon chickpea flour
    1 teaspoon white sesame seeds, toasted
    1 teaspoon tahini

    Glad that you made thepla. We gujarati( gujarat is a part of india from thepla is made originally). you can make thepla with any vegetable you can grate, add some aromatic herbs like finely chopped coriander and there you have new version of thepla. In dough we do add yogurt to make thepla softer and make shelf life longer. You made it without oil which is great, but it really needs some kind of fat while roasting otherwise it will become too dry, crumbly and sometimes rubbery.
    A tip for roasting, heat up your stove on highest, then turn to lowest and put thepla on. Let it roast for 10-15 secs, then turn it with spatula and turn gas stove to high. Pour 1/2 tsp oil on sides and 1/2 tsp on surface and after 30 seconds turn thepla again. Now let it roast other side for 20-30 seconds and you are done. Make a stack of theplas on cooling raack while roasting so that all can cool but stay soft.
    Kudos to you, I am just here commenting what I want to convey to you. I have my own cooking channel, i still haven't posted a recipe video of thepla, but will make it soon. I am a subscriber to your channel since I making videos, as I didn't know how to make videos. Your videos taught me how to make videos, but I still haven't figured out how to show my face. Also I have bit of low confidence when showing my face too.

    I have never been able to find fresh fenugreek when I wanted it; when I want it, it's always wilted and about to be thrown out, LOL! This looks like a delicious flatbread--the Indian practice of putting aromatic herbs, vegetables, and spices in bread dough creates delightful results--and I will give it a go when I can find the fresh herb. Thanks for posting 🙂

    Sounds yummy, and so glad no oil!!! I have mobility issues with my wrists/hands that makes rolling awkward and painful ... so I may just whip out the tortilla press and try that!

    you can have thepla with simple potatoes sabji known as suki bhaji. I saw your video and you said oil makes thepla greasy, but no it doesn'y when roasted properly. These when eaten makes our poo very dry. So we need some oil to roast them.
    But at the end of the day, we eat what we like to eat so each his own.
