Yes you will, practice it every other day. When I started playing years ago I played an hour that is it no longer but as I got better playing something different with both hands I played longer and longer because after time you really start having fun. Anything worth doing takes a lot of practice.

I believe I can learn this from this video as I don't read music well enough any longer, funny how that happened, when I was learning to play and read I was doing all the great classics, Bach, Beethoven etc and one day a bunch of the 70's rock songs came to mind I played as a drummer, I started picking them out, that was the end of learning to read well.

The right hand is wrong. If you want it to really sound like STYX, the correct notes for the melody are G, F#, Low D, High D, then A, G, Trill (F#-G-F#-E-F#) F#(again), G, then E into the C section. At least if you're listening to the vastly superior Lady '95

You should post a "how to" video of your corrected version as you noted in your reply.

Please post your version. I'd love to learn the '95 edition. It's beautiful.

I don't play piano (just guitar for me) but I can still say this was a great tutorial. Nicely done!

I wish when people made these they would play the parts for longer slower then medium then up to speed just so we can practice along without having to restart video and stuff lol.

@theoriginalnorseguy Try making it simpler like playing quarter notes with your left hand while doing the regular part with your right. Add more as you get comfortable and you'll get the feel for it.

    Everything is mostly right, except when you finish the C sequence, the last note isn't D. It goes C, B, A, G, F#, G, A, D

Do you know "The Man in the Wilderness"? Having trouble getting that little break before the guitar solo.

Do you mean the notes for the rest of the song? Apart from the chords, the notes are mostly improvised.

Good tutorial, but you say the notes you are playing in the beginning too fast, I almost can't hear their names. You should speak clear all the time. If I could find the sheet music to this and others I would not have to make any suggestions at all. After the beginning the speech is much better, thanks.

Turning the Closed Captioning on will help a lot. Not perfect, but sitting down at a keyboard you should be able to pick up the few missed words/notes.
