How to Wire-Wrap Beach Glass the Easy Way

  • A very simple twist-based wire-wrapping technique perfect for flat, irregular objects such as beach glass (or seaglass). All you need is some round craft wire (20 or 22 ga), flush cutters and a pencil, but chain-nose and round-nose pliers help make it easier!

February 20, 2012: Hey folks... new PDF tutorial based on this video available for download at www.jewelrylessons.com/tutoria...
PS I recommend turning the sound OFF, as it's just the sound of the dehumidifier in my studio basement and it gets kinda annoying after a while. Sorry, I just don't have the editing chops to deal with this.. YET!

I haven't started making jewelry yet, but I've noticed that every designer has his or her own style -- their trademark touches. I'm waiting for my stones to arrive. I can't wait to start creating. I have ideas (from watching youtube videos) regarding what I'm going to do with the wire and stones. Yet, until I get my fingers on the materials, I can only imagine where my designs may go. Thank you for sharing!

GAYLE!! I had taught myself another way, almost similar, using on long piece of wire folded in half, and twisting it at the points, but I think I like your way even better, especially with the extra wire to turn into embellishment [s] Very PROFESSIONALLY MADE VID! You inspired me to get back to work!!! Now,,I am looking for a way to wire-wrap round objects,,like tumbled stones in a less primitive way than I have been experimenting with...I'll get back here again sometime .I really enjoyed this PEACE!
