  • Just a quick update on how compounded Semaglutide injections are going for me! So far, so good. I've always been a slow loser when it comes to weight-loss, so I have a lot of patience and am not in a hurry to lose as much as I can, as quickly as I can. Learning not to compare my experience to the experience of others has helped me keep my expectations managed. Thanks for watching!

In 22 days I lost 8.1 kgs (17.83 lbs) on semaglutide. I was 93 kgs (205.03 lb) & right now I am 84.90kgs (187.1 lbs). I’m doing a low GI diet, I cut all the diary & have milk tea only when I’m extremely stressed. I’m 25 years old. I’m also working out everyday at the gym for at least 3 hours (mainly cardio). I hope to loose more weight by the following months.

@@RisaBeesa Thankyou Ma’am. Low GI is simply the foods that don’t spike your insulin levels at a faster rate. For example- chocolate or mangoes have high GI index & Cucumber or chickpea have low GI index. I have PCOS (insulin resistance) so loosing weight for me has been really hard but thankfully diet/exercise combined with semaglutide has been able to help me a lot recently.

Hello there! I hope it’s going well for you so far. Those first few doses made me super lethargic and thirsty. I just wanted to sleep and drink lots of water all the time.
Cowboy (dog) is such a big baby. When we go on walks he thinks all the other dogs wanna be friends and when they aren’t just as excited to see him he will whine. I love snails! I’m a pretty big bug enthusiast but I felt the snail was symbolic of how I tend to lose slowly. My body is never in a hurry for some reason (even when I want it to be!). Thanks for watching! 💚🐝

@@RisaBeesa Yes! I’m sluggish, like a snail. But I like your snail. He or she needs a name. Cowboy is a sweet baby. With Wegovy, I sleep well, but don’t want to get up. And during the day, I’m a slug. And I agree… it’s a good thing we’re to drink tons of water, because I do. I started drinking a protein water, since we’re supposed to get 30gms a day. My biggest problem is me. I had gained so much wt that I rarely leave the house for embarrassment and fatigue. Health problems arose with my weight. And my age is 73. My back hurts when I stand or walk for more than a few minutes. So it’s imperative that I lose weight. And it’s imperative that I participate in the process. This is why I am so very happy. I just took week 2 shot last night. I’ve been a power lifter my whole life. So working out hard has never been an issue. However eating in my sport was mandatory. Over the years I realized that it was time to let go of the sport and focus on my health. I tried to diet but it was extremely hard going from a sport that required you to eat and eat alot to be strong and push heavy weight. Now I’m focused on getting my diet in check. Week 1 was great I was very tired. No real symptoms. Still got all my workouts in and killer them. However I had to count of pre workout to push me through them. I slept really good on week one. Other than that no big symptoms. Week 2 idk how I feel yet. Woke up today craving sweets. I will say that while on the shot I have felt full sooner. I haven’t seen the signs of my body saying “hey no more sweets or hey don’t eat this” I hope this comes soon.

Hey there! From what my provider told me, I was supposed to really expect any magic the whole first month on that lowest dose… so my first 4 shots of 0.25mg I just told myself it was okay if nothing really happened. The food noise leaving my brain has been the biggest benefit for me so far and though I noticed it the first month, it was much more noticeable in the months to come. I have had a couple of bouts of stress-eating this past month and man did I pay for that big time. I’m cheering you on during your journey! 💚🐝

Seems like HTN is related to your Sleep Apnea. Maybe an EENT would be beneficial to in determining if you have a structural issue as supposed to respiratory hypoventilation. Although losing weight is definitely a big contributor. If you have some sort of structural issue in the oropharyngeal tract then even if you lose weight you might still have those issues

Bah typed this twice but accidentally erased lol I’ve had a hip replacement too, at age 18, (I’m 37 now) it’s definitely wearing out fast with being between 252-296lbs. I started zepbound 3.5 weeks ago and have lost ten pounds but I can’t get my refill this week so looks like I’m starting a compound in the meantime. All I’m doing for exercise is trying to make the habit of walking a minimum of 30 mins per day.

You’re doing great! I’ve heard good things about Zepbound and it honestly sounds promising for so many people. You were so young for the hip replacement 🥺. I’ve heard of them lasting for 30 yrs before people needing a new one, but I guess it’s different from person to person. Yours is lasting a good while! Good for you though… you saw that something needed to be done with your weight to preserve the joint and you acted on it. Walking is such a nice stress-free way to get daily movement. 💚🐝

I am your height as well. Started at 191 and in 6 weeks I have only lost 8 pounds. I’m more encouraged looking at your weight loss chart as I was thinking I should be losing more. My doctor says I’m right on track. I know what you mean by the elation you feel in your 160s …. I’ve achieved that by excercise and starvation, the wrong way. So my goal weight is also 150-155. I strength train 3 times a week and walk dogs 2-4 miles 2 times a week. Counting my macros! Hoping the weight loss picks up. Best of luck on your journey…
    Oh btw…are you experiencing constipation?😖

    • @RisaBeesa
      @RisaBeesa  3 місяці тому

Thanks for your comment! I feel like the constipation comes and goes but it hasn’t been an issue in a while because I figured out that I occasionally needed to take psyllium husk and also that I needed to eat slower. I kept forgetting to eat all day and then I’d get home from work starving, and I would eat fast. It’s no fun going days without being able to go to the bathroom… then when it was finally “go time”, I would get a wave of nausea and then be totally ok afterwards. The video before this one was just my 1-month experience and I shared about the constipation and some other initial side effects I noticed. We sound very similar with our starting weight and goals! So if you’re on week 6, you’re at 0.5mg (20 units)? I feel like it can be frustrating when we see other people lose like 15 lbs in a month but man, slow and steady isn’t bad. We’re still losing the weight! Wishing you good luck and good health. 💚🐝

I was on Ozempic for two months. My starting weight was 203 and 5’6. Like you, I eat right and exercise. I would lose 4 pounds and go up 4 pounds. My Dr. changed me to Mounjaro. In six weeks I’ve lost 18 pounds. I’m no doctor but You should ask your doctor to change medication’s. You can do some research yourself and you will find that Mounjaro is far more superior to Ozempic for weight loss and everything else. I also use a compounding pharmacy because my insurance won’t pay for it. I’m Pre-diabetic and my A-1 C was 6.0 with an under active thyroid. I also had two strokes in one day (54years old). That’s mostly the reason that I put the weight on in the first place. Good luck to you, God bless…….✌💙

So I pay $300 for a 4ml vial. The compounding pharmacy my provider uses is in Las Vegas and she actually ships it to me. The two vials lasted me the first 5 months since the doses were low enough that I could stretch it out. I just started the 3rd vial 2 weeks ago but I know it won’t last as long since my dose is up to 1.75mg (the syringe goes up to 100 units and I use 70 units per injection). I’ve heard good things about Henry Meds… and it’s the same price! They do their consultations and follow up appts via tele-health. 💚🐝
I should add: once I get to the max dose of 2.5mg, the 4ml vial will only last a month so I’ll be paying $300/mo.

I definitely feel a bit run down initially when I increase the dose, but then it goes away. Does your exhaustion ever subside? I’ve been very slow about increasing the dose, so the first 7.5 months I still hadn’t gotten to the max dose. 💚🐝

Keep in mind, I’m not a medical professional… but this is a medication that providers give a titration schedule with because your body has to adapt to it. For some people, 1.7 mg is their maintenance dose and for others 2.4 mg is… but everyone titrates up to those doses as they are not starting doses. I hope this makes sense. I just want you to be safe and informed, so please talk to your doctor first. 💚🐝

@@adrianacollado316 I know! Haha. She is me, so I’ll answer. It is the compounded semaglutide with L-carnitine and I am currently at 1.75mg. I’m not getting it from Henry Meds, but I’ve heard they’re reliable and reasonably priced. Mine are just from a local compounding pharmacy in Las Vegas, because that is where my provider is and I spend part of my time out there which is the only way I am able to get it filled. • @RisaBeesa

Oh I didn’t have to mix anything, the compounding pharmacy gives me a vial of liquid semaglutide and l-carnitine at 2.5mg and 100mg per ml. You DO need to lift weights! If you lose weight without preserving your muscle, then you rebound weight really badly, only next time you will have even less muscle, which will make losing the rebound weight harder. Please, if you take Ozempic for weight loss you MUST prioritize working the muscles and preserve as much as possible!
