in Gradius III Arcade the E-Laser was very effective when used as a rapid fire weapon ^_^ but in Gradius V they've made it powerful enough to blow for example BIGCORE MK-III on loop 10 with only one shot XD so they've made it only a charging weapon which it is very difficult to be used when fighting your enemies during the stages -_- but at least it's awesome to be used for a speed kills in 2 player mode ^O^ thanks ^O^
well it depends on the bosses because tetran in the old series didn't do anything except trying to crush you with it's stupid timing bullets XD but in Gradius Gaiden - G-IV & V it really proved itself ^O^ i'll think about other bosses soon ^_^
@sicnarfkcin there is a program called remotejoy which works after you install it in your psp & activating it while your USB is plugged to your psp connected to your pc to view the psp screen & recording it ^^ it's a free software and easy to use ^^ if you want the best remotejoy in search write remotejoy-lite ^_^
well in order for me : 1- Gradius V 2- Gradius III 3- Gradius IV because BIGCORE MK-III in Gradius V got way too many tricks and very hard speed kills against him on loop 10 very hard ^_^ and about Gradius IV BIGCORE MK-III tricks is way noticeable than other MK-III's ^_^ but about MK-III in G-III it was completely made in unfair style while MK-III in Gradius V is ultimately tougher than him because the old mk-III toughest skill is only the fast shots but MK-III in G-V does it very smartly XD
@SaviourV that goes for the kids now days but we the old fans who've loved it - will still and still in love with it like diamond hidden in your own box ( shaped like treasure box ) in your bed room ^^
yes and i didn't played it that much because i can't deal with that game without a controller ... and at this moment it doesn't works in my pc ..... sounds like a fate for me for not to play it because i may can do better than that fan made game in the original series ^_^
E-laser used be much better in Gradius III, i could destroy several layers of shields and take out a core in one full charged shot. nice moves on the Big-Mk III
Tat1101 Loop 10 :) Loop 10 is the maximum loop where the game difficulty locks. You can go higher - but based on my testing on loop 11 - it looked the same difficulty as loop 10. So i wonder why the game staff had added 256 loops in it.
Also, my thoughts on Loop 11 and higher, if the difficulty increases, it's going to be one tough game. Loop maybe 20 and higher could be difficult. 50? I don't know. But, 256 loops with the difficulty increasing... I think it will be nearly impossible to beat.
+Tat1101 It's already crazy on loop 10 😫 I've seen videos of players playing it on loop 256 - honestly - it doesn't have a really noticeable difference between it & loop 10.
@aliultimate009 Back when I was young, all I had was an old computer. And MSX consoles were unheard of in Malaysia. And they didn't really put out the good games in Malaysian arcades too much, sadly. I only saw the first Gradius on a Taiwan-modified NES / Famicom system called a Micro Genius. Times have changed, indeed. Nowadays, no one wants to be caught with old consoles anymore. It's a shame, because the old consoles taught us our skills.
OI! MK3-Kai, what the hell are you doing with a Xenon 2 paint-job?! You thief, I'd recognize those colours anywhere....:) Xenon 2: Megablast was one of my favourite shooters ages ago. A pity that I only managed to play it in black and white when I was younger, but I did spot it in full colour a few times in my life.
did you fought MK-III G-V on loop 10 for once ? MK-III G-V got way too many tricks and very hard evasions on loop 10 very hard ^_^ but about MK-III G-III is only tough on the fast shots and it's very easy to be evaded for anyone ... the player who played in the first video for your information didn't for once challenged MK-III G-V on loop 10 very hard ^_^ my knowledge for MK-III G-V tells : less weapons = easier kill . more weapons = harder fighting . MK-III G-III the opposite just ask him ^_^
@aliultimate009 Look up "Xenon 2: Megablast". It's an old vertical shooter, by the Bitmap Brothers. The ship you control in that game has similar colours to Big Core MK3-Kai. That's why I jokingly called MK3-Kai a thief. That's the only shooter I finished in my whole life, way back around 1990 or so. PC with CGA graphics. Old, but tough as boots. Though not as tough as Gradius these days...^_^;
i see harder the G III version.even when it was on beginer mode! awesome set of videos ^^ and i´m not being able to kill MK III in G IV...also he´s the most son of a bitch core of the MK family
Amazing.
That boss is one of my favorites in the gradius series.
Excuse me while i pick up my jaw from the floor after seeing those death-defying maneuvers!
Most impressive!

Fantastic work as usual. You owned Big Core MK-III. Excellent work. 5/5

You should include the SNES version of the Big Core MK-III fight.... ^^;
AngraLuna17
SNES version is too easy compared to the arcade version.
Glad to hear it thanks ^^
@SaviourV i see ... but wasn't Gradus also tough in MSX & Arcade Graphics ?
XD !!!
Glad to hear it ^O^
thanks ^O^
Man, dodging though lasers make my eye dizzy.
AWSOME!!! thanks and i like it!!!
thanks ^O^

thank you very much ^O^
i'll think about other cores later :)
thanks ^^
yeah you¨re right dude
before i forgot - your psp should be at least in an unofficial version 3.80 M33 ( custom frimware) to work this software ^_^
Are you human or computer?
@SaviourV that goes for the kids now days but we the old fans who've loved it - will still and still in love with it like diamond hidden in your own box ( shaped like treasure box ) in your bed room ^^

This is pretty much like a soldier goes to a war zone just with a small pistol = =
you're welcome ^_^

Thanks X)
First clip was from Danie X)
Have you played GR3?
E-laser used be much better in Gradius III, i could destroy several layers of shields and take out a core in one full charged shot. nice moves on the

At what loop and difficulty is the Gradius V version?

Oh, thank you for the reply! ^ u ^
Well, I don't know why they added 256 loops..
Probably for fun or to keep the game going?

NP :)
Who knows ? X)

how did you record your psp gameplay videos on this video?

oh my god. ive yet to meet THAT one in gradius v. oh joy :-(
same here XD
After seeing his Gradius III Arcade version, I realize that the GR3 boss I hate so much is a WEAKER version of this guy...
There's...just...no...way...(sigh...I wonder if he has any history of the other core bosses?)
Um...anyway...elegant moves...Zero.
Must save video.
i ... i don't get a single thing XD
i see harder the G III version.even when it was on beginer mode!
awesome set of videos ^^
and i´m not being able to kill MK III in G IV...also he´s the most son of a bitch core of the MK family
How could it’s possible? !
