In this video I've got some tips to help you twist for board slides. The twist is one of the basic snowboard skills for getting board slides and other tricks in the park. The best place to start practicing the twist is outside of the park on the slope. By twisting on the slope you'll develop you muscle memory and be prepared for when trying it on a box in the park. If you have any questions about twisting or other snowboard tricks please leave them in the comments. Thanks for watching! - Спорт
Thanks Kevin! Gonna try to get my boardslides down this season!
This is my year for boardslides. I feel it
You got it!
Ya my big fear is catching an edge on a board slide and eating it
I've been watching for years and I love how Kevin and this channel in general manages to embody every great thing about true snowboarding culture and the community of riders. Acceptance of everyone regardless of skill level, reinforcing the foundational basics to everyone, practicing safe riding, the endless sense of adventure, the unlimited amount of fun you can have with friends, etc. It's all here perfectly expressed by Kevin, TJ, Chris, and everyone else on the channel. So sick to see. You guys are awesome!

Hi Kevin! Watch your vids since years. In this moment i just preparing to shred😊. Winter started early this year. Greetings out from the heart of the Alps Tirol Austria🤘
Love watching your vids before hitting the slopes this season 🤩 Thanks!!
I needed this video twisting is hard
You got it Ellstacker! 👍
@@SnowboardProCamp ill let you know how it goes! :)
My gnu headspace just came today and I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow
Excellent!
I just re learned board slides on my homies rail at his crib that we built! Slowy getting over that mental block
stilll wanting for snow here in Southeastern Wisconsin.
:)
It can feel awkward sometimes, but good to try out this season and refine.
Thx
I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to do that but it’s fun to watch. 😎
You can!!!
Shred1904 haha! In my dreams. 😂
@@kerriepearce263 for real you can!!!
Love the content Kev! Thoughts on a “advanced one foot riding” or “pro one foot tips and tricks” video??
Yoooo
Fun video idea! One foot tricks definitely scare me a bit!
@@SnowboardProCamp scary for sure
Good video! It would be awesome if you showed how to twist out the boardalide, I feel like I have a problem with coming off in a way that want
Its the opposite motion and you should naturally feel like you want to untwist as you come off. Try it on the snow and you'll get the feeling.
Kev making rails look smooth...
Trying to Adam!
Hey Kevin! I always have issues coming out of my boardslides. I tend to just 180 out because I cant seem to untwist at the end :( any tips to fix this?
taliaalove think about counter rotation...so your arms go one way as your legs go another. Practising in the snow is great as Kevin does...also another great tip is get good at frontside shiftys in the air for backboardslides as it’s the same body movement...makes a big difference
Tips for jump progression I feel good getting like 1 foot of air but anything more I kick my legs and catch my edge :(
Can u ride some cornices and double black diamond adventures please I just saw the scary double black diamond and loved it so please make more
Will definitely ride some terrain like that as soon as it opens!
Yo Kev, saw you shooting this while I was riding past! I have a box question for you: How do you build confidence for hitting boxes? I've done some successful and unsuccessful 50/50's. The falls kind of brought a bit of fear into falling on/off the box which is holding me back from trying again. I've been practicing the board slide technique on balance bars but just been too afraid to try it for reals. Any advice?
Great vid Kev, you were mostly doing a lil pop on to the box... Is it just as easy to 5050 on and twist while sliding?
The 5050 on then twist is definitely easier, bit once you get comfortable with that you can try the slight pop straight into the board slide.
@@SnowboardProCamp Awesome, thanks Kevin!
its weird, i dont even snowboard (i ski) but i still love watching all your vids lol
You should try it. You might like it...
@@chuck__van I have snowboarded before and i still do it occasionally, im just way more confident off-piste on skis and i have more fun that way, but i still like to board time to time
@@nikosuomela8522 rock on 🤘
Next vid should be a tutorial on how to do a backflip on a snowboard
TJ did a backflip tutorial on the channel a few years ago.
SnowboardProCamp ok thanks
One question, when do you start twisting back for the landing? When you leave the box or just before?

@@owenchiou8860 oh thx lol Im in class I wasn't paying attention
@@yxnglamppost3538 lol yup np
I have two issues:
* I can easily do BS boardslides on ride on features but on skate style approaches I have a hard time. I feel more comfortable doing FS libslides.
* if I try to do a BS boardslide fakie out, I slide off my heels. I cannot find a good way to open my shoulder while sliding.
Any advise on these?
Sound like you may be too heel heavy on your skate style approach. Try aiming a bit further down the box and Ollie on form a flatter base.
I need help, I can boardslide on a skateboard all day but I have no idea how to on a snowboard. Do i need to jump into it or just turn into it? And do I land on the middle of my board like a skateboard or I should try to balance on my front foot? Let a brother know
You can start by riding on straight, then twisting you board sideways. Once you get comfortable you can start jumping on and landing sideways with the box in the middle of you board. Its much easier than skateboarding so you got it,!
@@SnowboardProCamp thanks for the reply, I'm gonna try this. Wish me luck
hey Kev. ive been curious about your helmet size for a while now. how do you fit a blackstrap hoodie and a beanie in that helmet. do you go two sizes up? I have a 57-59cm helmet on and i can only manage to fit a blackstrap balaclava in. any recommendations?

@@WantonMyth thanks man! Appreciate it!
When ur early but can’t think of a comment :(
Hahaha!! Great comment!
🤣
Chuck Van thanks my bro
You realize we want your job
It looks easy until you ride up to it.
*I bought this for my son and it's his first decent board accounting to him↝↝>**allmy.tips/FlowSnowboard?メ** He's been using it for Midwest snow hills so pretty much fake snow as of right now. Even with our "Ice-like" hills he feels like he has great control of the board. He likes that it is a light board for him. He's 5'7" and about 125lbs. He's been using it mostly on mountain runs and has hit a few at the park. Packaging from EVO could've been better in my opinion as it was just placed in a box with no cushioning. Box was mostly open and bent a little during shipping.*
