Society Of illustrators Crumb Lines On Paper Opening Concert March 26th 2011. Ari Eisinger plays the Memphis Minnie classic! www.secondmind.com www.societyillu...
the best version of this song that I ever heard....absolutely wonderful ...and that little parlour body guitar sounds stunning...it reminds me of a little stella I once owned...kev
Very nice version! I tried the song a couple of times by myself, but your video was one of the few possibilities to get a glimpse of what Memphis MInnie & Kansas Joe were doing....I play it different, but without your video I probably wouldn't even checked the tuning!
Gee Ari, sounds like you only packed about 63 variations into that piece. But seriously, there is hardly one out there that's nearly this good. It's isn't about flash or supper fast runs, although Ari can do that as well, it's about musicality. At that, Ari has few peers. Tommy Emmanuel, sure, but very few others.
I just checked out the Blues Music Awards 2017 nominees for best acoustic artist and this genius wasn't on the list. Neither was Paul Rishell, Pro. David Evans, Blind Boy Paxton, Dom Flemons, Mary Flowers, Erine Harpe. The musicians i named are all light years beyond the group of mediocre nominees (Eric Bibb was the only exception). This is pathetic.
Man, you got that right about the Music Awards. "Genius" is not over-stating the level of this amazing guitarist and this particular rendition is a perfect illustration of why that is so. My neighbours know "When The Levee Breaks" - trust me.
Fantasticly played and sung. Second to none.

Muireann Bradley's version, _NSuXYgIDrw is very nice too. She noted her cover was inspired by Ari Eisinger.
