Interesting. I did not expect the acrylic on the site to be that high. The scanned phasers I have seen, including the master replicas and the wand phaser, have not had such a big piece of acrylic, and the site did not raise as high.
Sorry to keep commenting, but, what year was this video taken? Had to be in the late 80’s based on the news report with President George Bush Sr. talking. What is the background on this video? If these are screen used props, how did you come to have them? They’re extremely rare. Are you TV props guys? Collectors? If so, where are they now? Or do you still own them? And why are you taking them apart? Are you fixing them? I have so many questions.
Why would these TOS props need any internal wires or functionality when we never saw any in the series? Phasers never lit up or displayed any moving parts. They were always static.
The hero phasers actually light up . They had grain of wheat bulbs inside. They lit up to signal the special effects artists when to add the phaser beam and when to stop .
The tos HERO communicator had a stopwatch in it to create the spinning moire pattern. never saw any lights on it. The static one had an photo cutout of the moire pattern and didn't spin. See Omega Glory.
What version of the LIS robot is that? Looks a little 'off'.;thr series HERO robot had a smoother finish. Looks 30 grit to me. Maybe is the year 3 stunt version.
Video taken at Greg Jein's Marina Del Rey Warehouse & Shop many years ago.

This looks like the one from the Star Trek communicator magazine. The crack on the side gave it away.
MAN, they packed a lot into that little dude!
Thanks for this, much better than my copy.

the prop in the video is a real working version of the Phaser 1 and 2.

Who videotaped this originally?

**TIP- Amateur goof, take your video camera OFF auto focus and hand focus this for useful detail.
But it doesn't do anything
Just stop. Don't do something like this again. Thank you.
Thanks so much.
