This is a hand carved wooden model of the space station one from the Gold key comics Lost in space space family Robinson. My intention was to take this apart and vacuum form each part to make a complete model kit. I don't know if there's any interest in it but I thought share it. Can contact me directly for any updates or if you're interested. propdept@yahoo.com

Lost in space second season laser rifle no sound just light effects prop
Переглядів 96Місяць тому
I built this recently for a customer that did not want the sound effects in it he just wanted to light effects. This is a second season laser rifle. It has a machine barrel which is CNC for the outlets that you see for the lights coming through, a clear casted emitter. I used the original Mattel Lost in space power pack on top I called the power pack. And everything else will urethane casted en...

Переглядів 129Місяць тому
I've been doing these for a while and I don't know why I didn't share it on UA-cam, I've listed them on Facebook. This is a 16-in model of the version of the Nautilus submarine from the View-Master reel. It is split in two sections that you can see hollow you can add electronics to it and I also have a water line model. If you want a larger one let me know I can do up to 24 in.
Star Trek communicator modified, 1990s body with updated electronics prop

As it says in the description this is a 1990s vacuum form body made by prop maker Steve Horch. He worked for HMS in California and did a lot of stuff for the next generation and the movies. Anyway these are the bodies that I got from Steve back in the 1990s. I repurposed them going to pandemic, recently found them and I'm going to go ahead and just post them up because what am I going to do eit...

This is another partially restored tricorder for the 1990s that were originally made by the late Steve Horch. I used to be a dealer at the vulkon conventions in the 1990s and I bought extensively from Steve horsch who had some excellent props. this one I only had to add an updated view screen I had to put a new electronics board into it but I use the existing LEDs. Star Trek Search for Spock Phaser I I diamond select conversion.

This is a Star Trek search for Spock diamond select phaser 2 that I have converted into an actual prop. I first began by detailing it out getting rid of all the screw holes and seaming it up. Before doing that I added some weight to it by putting molded bismuth pieces into the body. I remolded the Phaser I body for the cavity space and at electronics. Phaser I is not detachable I mean comes off...

Star Trek Klingon disruptor rifle.
Переглядів 3712 роки тому
The Klingon rifle is one of several I have in my collection. This prop was casted from the original molds used to make the screen used props, I identical to the screen used...just not screen used. It is 1:1 and made using a urethane resin. It has been slightly weathered but not to much, there are some good pic's of the distressed weather but I kept it simple.

Man. My first prop replica was a talking communicator from StarLand. It made one sound, "Enterprise. Scott Here." My second prop replica came from you, back in the '90s, when I bought a TNG tricorder from "The Prop Dept." from an add in the back of Starlog. It's been a long time since then, but I still have that tricorder, and all these years later I see you've got my holy grail, a hero version of the Star Trek III tricorder floating about in your videos. Wish you still had the store. I'd grab one of those in a heartbeat.

NICE!!! question, I wonder if, with the micro technology we see today, if it would be possible to connect that screen to a functioning camera, probably set in the face of the weapon? That could provide real time video, and yes, the sound effect was a very low kind of whooshy hum, in the early episodes, somewhere later on they went to a more traditional, more easily recognizable zap sound, maybe something like a pulse phaser, but this is really sweet

I purchased one of these from you back in 2009. I still have it and it still works perfectly. I loved the automotive pain that you had applied- it gave the prop such an industrial smell. The redolence has faded over time, but I loved it when it was fresh. I keep this prop on display in my office along with others in my collection, including an actual Coyle and I still love your model best! I am so glad to see that you are still producing this memorabilia. You are extremely talented. Please keep your fans posted if you have any new TOS devices that might be for sale. I live in Florida now, too!

Sorry to keep commenting, but, what year was this video taken? Had to be in the late 80’s based on the news report with President George Bush Sr. talking. What is the background on this video? If these are screen used props, how did you come to have them? They’re extremely rare. Are you TV props guys? Collectors? If so, where are they now? Or do you still own them? And why are you taking them apart? Are you fixing them? I have so many questions.

  • @aw3752
