This one (Jimtab) is probs the loudest out of all I have reviewed, personally I’d go for the Artlii Energon 2 HD projector. That’s my favourite “budget-ish” projector! (There is a review on my channel for it if you fancy a watch as well.) 👌
No probs! There are lots of projectors out there but my main advice would be go for (if possible) Native resolution: full HD Brightness : Mimimim 1000 LED lumens or 7000 lux lumens Evrything else is a bonus!
Yeah it is the fan that only lets it down but we don’t really notice it when a film etc is playing. Of course that may vary depending on how close you are to it! Still think it’s a decent projector though as it’s full HD! Anyhow which phone is it you wish to connect? For apple it’s easy you just have to buy an “official” lightning to hdmi adaptor. (You will also need a hdmi cable too) For Android however it depends on the phone itself. If your Android has a USB type C output then a simple USB - C to HDMi adaptor should work. If it has micro USB then you need an MHL adaptor however these are being hard to find and are being phased out nowadays because of USB-C. If you want it for Netflix etc though just get an Amazon Fire stick, that’s what I use. Hope that helps! 👌
I didnt Im afraid, I always try and do my reviews (whatever I am reviewing) "out the box" but do show the available options to play around with. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful!
No unfortunately not, if you are looking for a HD projector with WiFi and Bluetooth check out the Artlii Energon 2 I reviewed recently. For the price I think it’s a fantastic projector. 👌
I didn't Im afraid, I do have a three projector reviews coming up including the Artlii Energon 2 which appears to have very similar specs! (1080p video, supports 4K, smart device mirroring, 6800 lumens brightness and up to a 300 inch screen size!)
@@mcphoney hi when u do the artlli Emerson 2 projector can u mention what the picture of that is like compared to the jimtab because i had that and thought the colours were over saturated.
So far no problems at all and this is the projector we use the most as my son likes to have a movie night every Friday! The sound of the fan is the only problem really. It’s not majorly loud but compared to other projectors I’ve tried it is the loudest. I’ve not tried the Vankyo V630 but from what I’ve read it appears to have a loud fan too. I can imagine they will both be very similar to be honest. Sorry I couldn’t be more definitive with my answer for you!
To be honest I think you would be ok using a hush box, as long as it had a small vent somewhere to allow a bit of airflow you would be ok. The only problem is of course you would loose sound from the speakers as well unless you plan to hook some speakers/soundbar up to it?
Can I just plug in a Blu Ray player and a sound bar into the HDMI ports and off I go? I'm not very technical, but im looking for something for outdoor use in the summer months.
Hi Tony, That’s a good question...and Tbh I’m not sure that would work via HDMI as I don’t think the HDMI inputs on this projector are HDMI-ARC. Now there is an option to connect speakers/soundbar via the headphone socket with a 3.5mm aux cable. But I’ve also heard that connecting a soundbar via a headphone socket doesn’t work very well. Unfortunately I can’t try it out for you as I don’t own a soundbar! Sorry I couldn’t be more precise!
Hello, Can a portable external hard drive (4tb) be added to the usb port? What video formats will it play? What is the biggest video file size it will play? Thanks. Will.
I haven’t I’m afraid, but from what I can see from a quick scan of the reviews everyone seems pleased with it. I’ve got 4 projector reviews coming up however over the next few weeks! 👌
No probs! If you are looking for a projector btw, then check out the Artlii Energon 2! My favourite budget projector so far! 👌 (there is also a review for it on my channel!)
Yes and no. Basically when it comes to streaming apps, most of the paid ones (ie netflix) block the capability of streaming so you can only watch it on that device. Although I havent tried it I think if you connect it via a MHL adaptor you should be ok but personally I would just buy a Google Chromecast or Amazon fire stick if you wish to watch Netflix on it. Hope that helps!
Hi there, sorry about the late reply! This projector is the noisiest out of all that i have tested. Can be a little distracting but still a great projector! I heard one person saying it came up around 45db on a noise detector if thats an help!
You can indeed but you would need a scart to hdmi adaptor if your DVD player doesn’t have a HDMI output (which most don’t I’m afraid.) The converters are quite cheap though! 👌 Hope that helps!
I’m sorry but I haven’t tested the CHEERLUX CL770. However from what I can see of research they both look very similar and both have daily loud fans. On some pics and videos the CHEERLUX does look slightly brighter though in terms of picture quality! Hope that helps!
hi which one would you say is better this projector or this one from amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Projector-BOMAKER-Horizontal-Vertical-Compatible-White/dp/B07YB749CD/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Hi Kyle, bit of a tricky one really. Now I haven’t tested or seen the BOMAKER in action but it seems to have really positive reviews. The main flaw for both of them appears to be the fan noise. I’ve tested 8 projectors so far on my channel and the Jimtab M18 has the loudest fan. But in its defence it was the only one so far that I’ve reviewed that offered 1080p resolution. From what I can see of the BOMAKER though it does have a better brightness level than the JIMTAB and quite a few reviews on Amazon don’t appear too bothered about the fan noise either. Plus it’s cheaper too...
@@mcphoney ok thank you for the reply will you eventually be getting the bomaker and reviewing it plus the bomaker has better contrast ratio and lumens. did u know about the bomaker projector there is also a website for the projector.

Looks like the power cord is not made for 110 sockets is there adapters for that plug?
Did you colour calibrate this projector. If yes then could you share the 'picture and rgb settings'?

Andrzej Mikołajczyk 60hz and playing the PUBG and Call of duty all ok

I purchased via your link, I just need a sound bar now that's works over Bluetooth and has a sound delay to eliminate any lipsync issues.
Thank you!
