They didn't they were write offs for the company's they made them for.
I don't think a lot of people understand how write-offs work. All it means is that the expense like any other business expense like salaries iare deductible, but you still have to pay for it. That is because you are only taxed on profits, not spending.
However, many seem to be under the mistaken impression that since a business bought it the government is somehow paying for it.
The only people that can get over to an extent are smaller businesses when you can get away with using business property for personal use. In the case of companies that bought OC Choppers , that was really not the case, as I doubt the CEO was using it as a daily driver.

We built a house for a super wealthy lawyer woman who had a mint condition 60s Mustang of some kind that was special, I dont know the specifics, but it was worth a mint and rare. She had a special living room on the first floor with a turn table that the car could drive in, then turn around on, and it was on display in a living room with special glass automatic doors, I think they were a style of French doors but I could be remembering it incorrectly, we were only concrete and framing so I wasnt super privy to the whole thing as construction progressed to the very end. I didnt even know such a thing was possible but with enough money I guess everything is possible, with the right engineers and architects too. Your comment just reminded me of that.

OCC bikes are meant as show bikes and art pieces. Most of them are using base model Harley engines lol. The wiring, fabrication has been subpar on many of them also.

Not a rider myself but I think that's their built in safety mechanism. If you can't start 'em, you can't ride 'em! Therefore...you are safe!

Also it has no killswitch. Good luck with any engine related issues or oil pump issues. That thing is going to get stuck if you don't clutch it fast enough. Doesn't look like it has any indicator lights ether for oil

His WCC bikes might look just as ridiculous as this but that's what was popular in the early 2000s but that doesn't change the fact that he could hand build an entire car from a pile of straight tubing and flat sheets of metal.

It matches but its only four or maybe five feet long. Looks like a large radio controlled boat but I'm pretty sure its just a model. You can see it sitting in the trailer at the beginning of the original long form video he made about buying the bike.

They build some badass bikes, but about all their good for is looking at. Nobody can ever get them to stay running long enough to actually ride them. OCC can fab up a sweet frame all day long, but they cut corners everywhere else.
They could install an empty block with no pistons in it and you wouldn't even notice because it doesn't work anyway
I am somewhat sure that they have done that before. 4 State Trucks in Joplin, Missouri was doing the same thing with the trucks that they did those horrible and useless/dangerous interiors and $200 paint jobs and drove the final nail in the coffin of a lot of struggling truckers’ companies and televised it on CMT. I have 10 years worth of weekly pictures of the “under the sea” truck sitting on the side of I-20 in rural Texas with a for sale sign in the window and then the last picture is a rotator wrecker and a lowboy and a service truck with torches in the bed cutting the axles so it would roll at the scrapyard

I saw several OCC bikes at a NASCAR event. I could not believe how crappy they were. I have had seventh grade students who do cleaner welds.

Here where I’m at. This guy bashes their bikes, but can’t even work on his own stuff, and is doing reviews. If he made it as far as them or had a company in measurable size maybe then. Lot of them bikes were build for advertising.

I've always liked occ's tubular frames....
1. Sometimes people think something does what it wasn't designed to do.
2. OC typically builds machines with the requested aesthetic to ride decent at the speed limit.
3. Most people don't understand much about automotive batteries in general let alone the charging system of their machine.
4. Some people don't know how to follow wires to confirm if they're positive or negative due to circuit path.
5. I'm quite stricken by the frame, never seen anything quite like it, and I love the fabrication.....makes my imagination run wild. I want a dozen and everything to build a fleet of custom bobbers.

To easily use a jump box to the starter, use the on/off switch on the jump box to crank the motor. I do this on an old ridding mower. Turn power off, then connect to starter, turn on key, turn on the jump box. When starts, switch box off.😊

I watched an episode where they attempted to pound the axle through the rear swing arm and wheel. It didn't want to go through, so they pounded on it harder. I cringed. Eventually, they figured out the hole in the spacer was too small and drilled it out using a vise and hand drill rather than a lathe.

Btw Omar that light green car you were chasing is actually a S15 Silvia not a S14 my man! S14 has a long tail light that goes all the way across the rear of the car S15 has the two separate tail lights. Tons of other differences as well but that’s definitely an s15
