I met Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson in Rome because I live here and they were on vacation. We chatted for about 10 minutes. Great guys and they had a good sense of humor. They were on bicycles and sped away when the crowd gathered to watch us. I also bought an Xbox for Spike Lee because he didn't speak Italian. and had coffee in a cafe with a group of super models after a shoot. Rome is a great place to meet celebrities. Anyway, love Owen and wish him the best.
I really gotta say, he's one of the few actors that can hold an SNL speech and it's great that he needed no assistance and is still able to get consistent laughs. He's a solid performer.

Robin Williams (R.I.P.) had also recently been diagnosed with Dewey's Dementia. Although he admitted to being bi-polar I never heard about him being suicidal. Dewey's Dementia is a death sentence and he knew it. Hopefully, Wilson will remain healthy in body as well as mind.
Weirdly, this was almost cringe worthy of, please don't let Owen Wilson fail. When you like someone, so much as a person, and you know they have struggled with their own life and decisions, you really don't want it to go down in flames. But then I thought, no matter what he does or say, he will succeed, failing or not, people love him as a person, and that's enough. And this was great. The way the words just nonchalantly flow out of his mouth is what makes the joke funnier. I hate when comedians tell a joke and says the punchline and you know they are expecting you to laugh but the gambling joke just breezed right through. You know it's funny but Owen was just moving through it.
Most monologues are funny, and while this one was, it was also motivational. If you see the number of views going up for the next year or so, it's because Imma be watching this at least once a day.

Owen Wilson needs to become a member of the 5 Timers Club. This was a great and funny SNL. The cast is superb, the writers were on point, and Owen is excellent at live comedic theatre. This one will become a classic.

Yeah - it’s refreshing every once in a while, but give us a monologue. I feel like I haven’t seen a monologue in forever.
A lot of times they do that, I think, when they're worried the host can't pull of a decent monologue otherwise.
I think they're doing that more due to COVID restrictions (can't have too many people onstage unless masked).

He's completely human, that's all it takes to attract a bully. His heart. But I'm so happy he's not giving them what they want. This is what entertainment should be, you can tell he wants to make people laugh genuinely

Owen Wilson needs to become a member of the 5 Timers Club. This was a great and funny SNL. The cast is superb, the writers were on point, and Owen is excellent at live comedic theatre. This one will become a classic.
