Rare should really just more than double any fishs worth.
Or, what I think would be cooler, just add an emissary flag to Hunters Call, it only levels when you catch a fish and at level 5 it gives you a 2.5 multiplier like all other emissary flags do.
That way the fish would actually be worth something and you would be recognizable as a fishing crew.
this is a good idea except for the fact that literally everyone would want to sink a hunters call emissary since they wont need to do any fishing themselves

I don't think you thought this one through an emissary flag marks you for PVP you really want reapers chasing you while you're trying to fish
@Why-are-my-opinions-illegal it doesnt mark for pvp, it just marks a potentially high loot ship. A lot of people think, ooo they will have a lot of loot, not oooo I wanna fight them
Hunters Call as a faction is there to teach you how to avoid detection. Can't fish when being shot.
How does painting a marker on the ship serve the factions role?
Furthermore, it's the only loot you can pocket.
Why would they flag the ship when the loot's probably not on board?
Emissary is what people's first choice is, but the first choice isn't usually what serves the needs best.
be careful stashing your fish in the barrels on a sea fort. I think every 30 mins, the barrels reset so if there's anything in there when that happens it will be gone
Only the shipwreck barrels and default coloured ones reset the rest don't reset unless absolutely no one is on or near the Fort for a period of time
I doubt it will be a problem for him again lol
Every 24 minutes and you are correct. You should never keep your fish in the barrels. You're just asking to lose all your progress

I really feel like rare should expand on the Hunters Call and make it an actual company with an emissary. I genuinely enjoy fishing, its just not rewarding at all

And why would you want an emissary flag so that people hunt you while you're trying to fish?
If you can find a small pond and cast towards a wall, you can pull trophies in on their first rest. It cuts down the time SO MUCH. I was on mermaids hideaway, but enemies do spawn and bother you so pros and cons

You can fish in the bottom of the sea forts and every type of fish is 1 reel, plus you’re able to focus the region specific fish since it’s not a “pond.”

PLZ READ THIS there is another way to get storm fish. It’s doing the Athena voyages by doing legend of the veil, you can find the shipwrecks within the quest and find the storm fish in the barrels. I got two of the rarest ones sitting in one barrel, and they were both cooked.

Bring them mermaid gems and coral treasure chests, you can also stack legend of the veil voyages and only do the sunken ship part--bring a storage crate and loot the 5 ships over and over.
You can also repeat this in the Devil's Roar and fish for Wreckers and Devilfish, two of the best paying catches.

I did it for 8h straight during the event and its not worth it but I am grinding the milestones 🤣

I love doing fishing voyages. I just spent about 10 hours fishing myself. I've done that a few times. And many smaller sessions of fishing.
You can make ok money fishing, if you are picky.
Also, it cracked me up how long it took you to realize you were feeding your pet the fish.

You can tell they don’t know the ways of fishing by the way they don’t reel tap when the fish is struggling. Every good fisherman knows that while the fish is struggling, you can still feel them in slowly by tapping it so it feels but also doesn’t break

While not a true Hunter's Call faction, Guild Emissary adds it's bonus to any sold fish/food, and even ranks up wen cooking to perfection.
i made 150k in a hour by having reaper bone emissary lvl 5 by fighting the armada event and selling all the loot

I do fishing when I am going through chemotherapy, put on some podcasts and relax. Got 90% of all the fish, battlegirls and stormfins of the rare variety can eat the fatass part of my posterior.
I recently learned how to actually fish (and cook), made a few K... Now if I can learn how to attach worms on my lure, surely I will be able to afford my first sloop in "no time".
Was during gold & glory or something cause when I was doing my legendary hunter of the sea of thieves grind we fished for 17 hours one day and only made about 345k and that was 4 dedicated fishermen going at it nonstop must have had other stuff mixed in with it

Made this just before the hunter's call storage crate was released. That probably would've helped quite a bit.

Shouldve waited for season 9. You can get Bait Crates now and they hold 150 bait. Saves so much digging time.
500K for 10 hours it's really nothing =( Yesterday we just make 300K for one hours just doing a skeleton mission
The best fish sell for 10-20k, which is way more than the coveted chest of legends
battle gills are worth about 2500 a pop cooked and with the new table update to get a skelly fort is ez money

If you actually go out of your way to try and catch regionals and rares you'll be good
I was just typing a long explanation on how to fish more efficiently because as i watched, it seemed like you guys didnt know about the single reel spots, but then you went to a single reel spot. Thats where the real fishing profit comes from.
Let the low tier fish go unless they are trophies. Or maybe even let them go and stick to the B pondies. Bright and Bronze. You can easily get 50k an hour per player if being effiecient.
A good rate for fishing id say is you want 1k per minute per player minimum. If youre doing anything less than that, including cook times, youre wasting too much time.
4 players grinding fishing should be capable of 200k an hour total or more.
Also, selling cooked chicken, snakes and pork are not worth the time. Not at all. You can get 10 times the gold per minute by fishing instead of hunting animals.
Its actually toxic of rare to add a bait crate right after you guys finish this quest :(
I can promise you it is not worth the boredom. Imagine spending your free time off work, doing even more boring work for no pay.
