- Very Heavy Grain Train With 4 Locomotives On Wet Rails Going Up Steep Grade, Immediately Followed By Steel Coils Train With DPU! 2 Trains In A Row Before The Railroad Crossing Gates Go UP! Gate Runner Car Doesn't Stop For Train Coming Down The Hill. Overhead View Of Train With DPU Coming Around The Sharp Curves. These Norfolk Southern Railroad Trains Are In Crescent Springs, Kentucky.
This video has 5 trains and a locomotive move filmed in several areas within a mile of each other in northern Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. I also visited the free library and left a train magazine. I wanted to get some trains coming up the hill on wet rails so this worked out very well. It had been raining in the morning and stopped just before I got here. One of the tracks had not had a train over it since it rained. We see the light rust on the wet rails and then the heavy grain train comes up the hill on that same track. Right after the DPU passed me I heard train horns and a second train came up the hill on the other track and it had a DPU also. After we see how shiny the rails got I went to another location a mile away to film some trains going down the hill on the curves.
While I was filming these trains Mrs Tooth was in Mount Orab, Ohio. She was picking a script for me and heard a train. She got to the railroad crossing in town and filmed an eastbound empty grain train on the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. I posted that video one hour before this one so check it out!
Filmed Friday, December 1, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Fantastic brother.....I'm telling ya JT just watching these videos is truly one of the highlights of my day.
Thanking you kindly for taking the time in doing what you do....
Glad you enjoyed it!
Kentucky rain keeps pouring down.....
Good Morning all...
Good morning!
Now doesn't that sound like a country song? Waitin' in the cold Kentucky rain for a train...to take me out of this place just to ease my pain. 😊
I was on an Elvis kick lol
Nice question why is there a horse 🐎 on the train 🚆 🤔
It's The Thorobred Line.
@@ccarr656 OK
Grain train action in Crescent City Kentucky this is really great to see
especially with more than one train
going through on the various tracks;
Thanks to Mrs. Tooth for filming the train in Mount Orab, Ohio; also a great appearance by Chessie and Loki with the slide show Thank You Jaw Tooth.

🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Thank you very much!
Good thing stopped JT or you would have missed the awesome intermodal. Fantastic catch! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
That's true!
The Bakersfield subdivision has NEW LED signals. isn't there an Elvis song "cold Kentucky rain"
Yes that’s what I was referring to 😊
I like train videos on UA-cam jawtooth dpu alright 👍
A semi can carry 26 tons legally. Railcars carry 100- 110 tons, so that is 4 truckloads.
That WFRX 8861 is an ex-BNSF unit (same #) and has been photographed in IL, IN, OH & GA this year. Amazing what one can find out on the internet! Nice job once again, Brian, and once again, Thank You!
Hello my friend! Wonderful video, have a nice weekend! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Another great video. JT, I really liked your first one were two trains at once was coming up the hill but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and will see you on your next video brother
Outsmarting the "algorithm" ... you are a hoot!
Thanks for watching 😊
Most drivers at 8:45 - "What in the &*!@#$&!&@#%*!"
Railfans at 8:45 - "SWEET!"
Love the videos. Keep them coming!
The first train horn was EPIC! EMD!
I've got a bunch of $2 Silver Certificates (Pre-Federal Reserve Notes). Any idea what they are worth?
I have no idea
Hi and good Morning my name is Neil schwerdt in west valley city Utah.
I have question to ask you if you run across a heater watch box could you photo it and show how it works.
I want to build one in HO scale please.
Thank you from Neil schwerdt 😊
Yes, I can do that. I filmed one in the snow last year near Louisa Kentucky. I will look for one 😊
The green hopper you liked was formerly owned by Ag Processing (AGP). A lot of their hoppers were bought by David Joseph Transportation and were often seen in your CCET videos a few years ago.
Awesome shots! Up and down hills, around curves and all the background you manage to get in makes your videos great fun to watch 😀 Thanks for the time and effort you put in. 😊
Wow
Great trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad you like them!
Good trains going down the hill. The NS power on the second one was unusually clean. And the GT auto rack looked really old. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
WFRX reporting mark was first issued to Western Farmer's Electric Railroad in SE Oklahoma in 1997. They had over 200 coal cars, and 15 miles of track running from Valliant to Ft. Towson, OK. After a lot of RR sales and mergers, Kiamichi Rail service started delivering coal to the pant in 2002. It may have been at this point that the reporting mark changed to WFEC, but AAR doesn't report WFEC registered.
At any rate Wells Fargo Rail started in 2015 when First Union(FURX)acquired GE Capital (GECX)and got the mark WFRX. If you see any cars still marked FURX or GECX they are Well Fargo cars.
I love the sound of SD70s pulling heavy loads like draft horses. Having 2 on that first train was a real treat and the steel coil train, even with GE engines was still impressive as well.
Thank you for sharing JT.
JawTooth 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
Thanks 😊
Wow! Lease unit WFRX 8361 - A Wells Fargo Rail locomotive
Good morning Mr JT! I like your cap.❤😊This is a really awesome video. A long train. Love how you talk about history and other details of each state you visit.😊Thanks so much. Cute captures of your fur babies. Loved this.❤😊
Nice catches JT! Thanks for putting in the time, in the cool, damp weather.
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚂💯👍🇺🇸
Compressed springs ! Checkout the disconnected airline @ "3:37" between two cars 😮❤
Another great video, Brian. I noticed another pattern happening with you. It appears that when you go home, you always find auto accidents or an ambulance(rescue squad) going somewhere.🤔😊 Greetings from Virginia.
Thats a nice sound from the locos and the trains. it`s music for me. Have a nice first advent. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven........PS: my video from the Berlin Santa-train is ready.
It looks like you fooled it this time JT. 😊😊
Yeah I did lol
Great catch Brian thank you for share
Thanks for watching
Hey jaw tooth awesome catch of 2trains following each other. Got lucky. Did you notice light engine move flashed headlight at you after passing you? Very busy line . Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Fab seeing all the first train JT, ftom last video, OMG it was pulling some weight. Loved the light green grain car too. It was a long train! How cool to see another train straight after going the same way. Awesome. My favourite thing to as a kid JT was to stand on the bridge & watch the trains coming round the curve! (Passenger). ❤😊👍
16:02 Providence and Worcester Auto-rack, quite a sight to see
I always look for those (it's my local road here in eastern CT, and I worked for them 40+ years ago)
You missed 1069 HU in Palmyra, Pennsylvania
Thank You Jaw Tooth! No graffiti is always a welcome site to see!! I feel it is very disrespectful but that's me!
😊i had today icerain, now its snowing,in south Germany 50 CM snow. but mine fried fisch/kibbeling was super with garlik sause.😂
What type or brand of scanner do you use?
Wet ,wet, wet day. thumbs up.Elvis.
In The cold Kentucky Rain!
This is impressive and very nice. I was wondering if you could by any chance put yourself in a position somewhere to get an overhead view of the empty container cars. I am interested in how they are coupled together to make one long car. You do excellent work and I don't often get a chance to watch your videos. Thank you.
Thats a sweet little spot you have there JT! Bridge to the left curve to the right ✅ awesome background 😎 you narrating. Complete 😊
You get the best train catches
Thanks 😊
One couldn't go wrong today it was like having Mr and Mrs tooth come to your door and each sing Christmas Carol. Seeing the manned helper was an extra treat and then get the steel train ( even though it was only 13 cars) get the slingshot move. Hopefully those lids on the covered Hoppers are secure has nobody wants soggy soybeans in Tennessee. Perfect combination of speed and consists. March of the steel soldiers with JT live double track action
Awesome video Brian, I'm glad you stayed and caught that intermodel. Next time the algorithm won't send a train!😂 thank you, stay well roll on
This video looks perfeckly amazing, by watching the trains coming by and and pass at Crescent Springs, Kentucky, by seeing them coming along the tracks and hearing the horns.
Keep up the great work, Brian, you are the best, Greetings from Portugal.
I'm leavin'... gonna trick the algorithm Lol !😂
Thar Cavalier just screams Kentucky at 9:25, did you hear it.
😊can you send me 1 US Railpage News magazine,JT? please.i can get it here .🤔
Say JT. have you ever filmed at the Queensgate of the Gastreet yards and watch them switching?
Good morning Jaw Tooth. Nice cut of box cars.
if gold bars, coins, nuggets, etc. had a sound they could emit.... i think people like us would hear they sound the same as the first 3:10 of this video 😂😁
That's nice of you jaw tooth leaving two dollars
Wanted to tell you.
I saw a ConRail lead engine in downtown Johnson City this morning
Couldn't get a pic I was watching the Christmas parade
*Anyone notice the crossing gate on the first train still has standard incandescent light bulbs? Wow.*
Merci beaucoup pour cette belle vidéo comme toujours ! ✨✨✨✨👍
Merci à vous 😊
@@JawTooth Bonsoir ! 🙏🙏
Ah, a blissful respite in the midst of the 'honey do' list. Some great catches today. A nice back to back to start it off. I thought that car was someone with a chainsaw...
Had one of those crawlers during a day of chasing trains. After I chased that FL9 I told you about I chased the 316 which had barely enough horsepower to make Attica Hill. Man they were producing a high pitched whine as they passed me at 10mph.
😊thanks voor the video, stay warm everibody. nice weekend.greetz:🍐:Peer.
There are a lot of STLX renumbered Big John cars too.
👍🏻🚂🐔🐶
Thanks for watching 😊
Well, there won't be any problems with the bearings, because the wagons when they pass, its slaps?
More great action from the hill, very impressed by that heavy grain train with hard working power head end and rear, and a steel coil train not far behind. Love those overhead catches too. Nice job JT.
А это жёлтое пятно на рельсе машинное масло оно не вытекает из бака масляного а они сами им смазывают рельсы чтобы колеса не издавали ни каких звуков во время движения поезда эта распространенная практика работников путей сообщения.
Steel coils are for auto’s and “white goods” or fridges, washers etc.
The DPU sounded awesome, and I agree with JT. The green grain cars are a pleasant distraction from the normal gray, black and red covered hoppers! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
If black is normal for you, you must either be somewhere on KCS territory, or somewhere where COER leases out a lot of ex-KCS hoppers. :)
Если ты пальцем проведешь по рельсе то она будет жирной вот это и есть польза для рельсов и при чём большая.
The coil cars are like giant Tupperware containers on wheels.
You are very well blessed Jaw Tooth. great video as always.
😊the tin cans bringing 15 eurocent en the pat bottles 25 eurocent in the super markt when you bring it back. statiegeld.😊
Nice Video
Thanks for the visit
😊every grane car was 143 ton,how many cars/wagons?😅
yes saskreber
Thanks for watching
Tricking the algorithm 😂 😆 🤣 😂 🤓
So apparently not stainless steel coils if they have to be "tarped"? 🤔
Great video ~~~enjoy the video FMD
Great catches as always keep them coming
I read on a news feed that some $2 could be worth $1000s.
Watching fast trains is nice, but there's something cool about watching giant diesel locomotives pull an impossibly heavy load up a grade at a steady 7 mph. It's a show of remarkable engineering and awesome power.
It's actually doing about 12mph, but still pretty awesome. (Lead locomotive passes in 4.25 seconds, which is about 17 feet per second.)
Good one JT. I like the hill. For sure as soon as you leave another train is on the way. ❤
Wells Fargo RR? WFRX. What next, stagecoaches? GE Capital looking for old customers? Great shots, Brian, and great personality as always. Listening to you is like meeting with an old friend.
Thank you very much!
I would love to see you catch a street running train in the snow especially at night.
Nice video!
What do they use the corn off your property for? Is it for ethanol or animal feed?
I always enjoy the climbs.
Coil trains are incredible! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Great Video, Jaw Tooth, have a great weekend.
Great video. It is very unusual to see one train so close behind the other one
Thank you very much!
I’m in LaGrange Kentucky right now trying to catch a street Running Train. Supposed to be one around 2pm or so
It was on the other track.
Compressed springs in Crescent Springs.
J.T. the green grain car in your video with MWCX on the side stands for Midwest Railcar Corporation....if that was the one you were commenting about.
It was. The green colour scheme is for Ag Processing (AGP). They sold a bunch of their hoppers to leasers like MWCX and DJTX, who painted out the AGP logos.
Would love to find out the combined weight in pounds of grain that the first train was hauling!! WOW! Lots of steel roll cars also! Great trains JT!! Thanks for always keeping it interesting!! Until next time!! OH yeah... and a great fake in tricking the train in the end... LOL
Thanks for watching!
Awesome DPU on those two train going up the hill very loud 🔊 and working hard as they went up the hill . I would like to hear more loud 🔊 DPU 'S going up the hill . Really Awesome JT👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
GT autorack, sweet!!! Awesome catches JT, way to trick the algorithm 😆
Thanks! 👍
Listen to those rails sing due to the wheels spinning! Hard work! So cool.
I love the sound of a hard working engine
Awesome video with a dpu working hard on a heavy grain train and a dpu working hard on a steel coils train but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂👍
Thanks for watching !
It’s called the Shaw Tooth effect.
Jaw tooth have you ever seen a vehicle get hit by trains
