  • How to Add and Subtract Rational Expressions - Simplifying Step by Step
In this video, I explain how to add and subtract rational expressions by finding a common denominator and combining terms. I walk through multiple examples to show how to handle different cases, such as simple denominators, polynomials, and factoring.
    What You Will Learn:
How to find a common denominator for rational expressions.
Step-by-step examples for adding and subtracting rational expressions
Techniques for simplifying rational expressions after combining them.
How to handle more complex cases involving polynomials.
Tips for factoring polynomials to find the least common denominator (LCD).
By the end of this video, you'll have an understanding of how to work with rational expressions and simplify them efficiently. This is perfect for algebra students or anyone looking to brush up on their skills in adding and subtracting rational expressions.

ha! dont get mad! math is haaaaaaaaard! especially the stuff that you feel like should not be! i always got stuck on everything, so do got give up hope.
work on it for a while, get frustrated, try again, get more frustrated, put it away, and come back to it later. that is the recipe for success in math.

If you know the "Box method", You can do it backwards OR the FOIL method. (x+2)+(x+3)
    FOIL it. x(x)=x[squared]. x(3)= 3x. 2(x)= 2x. 2(3) = 6. Now, add like terms. x[squared]+(3x+2x)+6.
FOIL stands for First Outer Inner Last. In this case, x and x are First, x and 3 are outer, 2 and x are Inner, and 2 and 3 are Last.
    Hope it helps
