To start, love Trampa, love the Trampa team! However when installing the barrels on the rear trucks of my Trampa electric spur gear mountain board the 30mm M5 screw's length barely makes it out of the bottom of the board and doesn't have enough length for the thread to grab ahold of the barrel retainer threads. Secondly the M5 screw's diameter only fills about 60% of the diameter of the board and truck's existing spring bolt holes which means the M5 bolt will be bouncing around inside the larger hole while riding which doesn't seem secure. I think Trampa needs to provide barrel retainers and bolts that accommodate a larger diameter than M5 (to fill the existing hole snugly) and length longer than 30mm that can securely grab the barrel retainer thread. The front barrels were mounted with no problems. Update...DYI solution to problem above: - Did the following and just tested it on a 7 mile run with mixed roadway, packed forest trails and offroad through the woods and the new barrels are FANTASTIC! Feels much more stable, less springy (no pun intended) giving me more confidence to go faster but safer. I also think they're quieter somehow:) For back trucks do the following: - - Use M5 40mm screws instead of the stock 30mm from Trampa to fully reach through and grab barrel retainers on back trucks - Use aluminum spacers around the M5 bolts to fill in the gap of larger diameter holes on back trucks Enjoy:)
I was about to order the barrels kit on their website and they give the choice between regular bolts and longer bolts, i have a spur gear drive too so i need the longer bolts i guess ?
Man I'm so desperate for one of these boards, been riding nonpowered mountainboards for years and saving for ages it feels like! Do you boys ever sell exdemo or anything? 😂
Talk to your bank. If they don’t understand you need a skateboard that cost the same as your car, change your bank:) (fun fact: it actually cost exactly twice as much as my car)
Lorenz Noichl Interesting... Do you like the videos short? Do you want more quick tips type videos? More riding? We love to hear feedback, so we can make the best for everyone 🙂
I like it bam bam bam. Short and full of Specs. I dont want to see videos of people riding. I d love to see the different turning circles of all of the barrels. Still looking for the perfect ones.
Lorenz Noichl We can’t take out all the riding! That’s the best parts to film! Pretty much all the spring truck boards will turn tighter than you could ever need when they are on orange dampers on the inside setting.
Lorenz Noichl With the barrels, there are only 2 settings, they will turn more than enough on the inside, but be a lot more stable at high speeds on the outside setting. Then get a happy medium with the inside on the front and outside on the back 😉
I am riding bike downhilltrails in the alps so i need to make insane tight turns in steep areas. I always have to jump to get the turn. What would you recommend? I do not ride rlectric, i changed from red to yellow dampas so far.
I want to be a big blue whale... Need to get myself an electric Trampa ASAP!! :D
Nice film , love riding with barrels
Thanks! We do too!!
