    That is where you are wrong it is only about what upper dorsimus connects to your lower abratimus and which belt or hyperlocotation u use

    Never got that budget serious with a mountain board (still riding my cheap chinease Wowgo 2s, a landyatch and a small electric cruiser too). But I've always wanted a rock solid and sleek looking trampa. Here in Quebec City we got some good snowboard during winters, but I crave the carve during the summer because our roads are just so frickin trashed with potholes beause freeze and thaw so often it breaks the asphalt. Anyways, speed and 75 mm wheels are a bit dangerous on our roads full of holes (don't ask how I know). My question, for such a serious electric mountain board, what kind of budget for the initial buying to get something working ??. Not an exact price obviously, just in terms of order of margnitude, some sort of ballpark range. I've also looked a the lacroix boards, but I feel the Trampa look more rugged and capable of handeling abuse from rough terrain more. The stooge board seem awesome too, but just seem to have a completely different purpose.

      Think mine was ~£3150, but I went for a lot of extras, spur drive etc.
      Think you could prob spec one for about £2k, if u went belt drive... Being in 🍁, ud have to source ur own 🔋 too, which was about £500.
      I was gunna build my own, but tbh once I'd found the trucks, motor mounts and deck I wanted I might as well have bought the whole lot from Trampa... Especially when buying individual parts from all over the place, u run the risk of incompatibility and having to return parts or take the loss.

    Out of all of these boards which is the best one suited for jumping and how much does it weigh?

    • @TrampaBoards
      @TrampaBoards  2 роки тому +1

      Sam's board (The OBD/9/69/with yellow phatlad hubs) is best for jumping out of the bunch here. Generally, a lighter drive like 'Open Belt Drive' with some light weight wheels makes for a good board for doing tricks. Though strength is also something to think about here - depending on how much you are going to crash!?

    What is the reasoning behind the obvious preference for belt driven? I can't exactly say I have any issues with my own belt board, but spur just seems like it would be more reliable?

    • @TrampaBoards
      @TrampaBoards  2 роки тому

      All the crew like it because its light weight compared to the spur

    Hey
    What is the most amps i can run on my trampa? I have 6376 160 kw motors, hd60? What is the hoghtest you can recommend? I gunn it at standard 60 and want to get some more🤪
    Thanks

    • @TrampaBoards
      @TrampaBoards  2 роки тому

      Hey Robin, the crew ride with about 85 amps, you can push it a little more than that - though you will start to get cut offs. We have found 85 is the sweet spot for max power without any surprise jerks!

    • @JonathanVaucher
      @JonathanVaucher 2 роки тому

      maybe gear whine noise ? or if you get a pebble stuck between two gears it my shear off some teeth. Or maybe it just makes the board way more rear heavy ?

    • @TrampaBoards
      @TrampaBoards  2 роки тому

      Hub drives are not as powerful at the moment, they are also not as strong. Though maybe one day!

    • @difflocktwo
      @difflocktwo 2 роки тому

      @@TrampaBoards Maybe. We are seeing people dumping more and more kw into little scooter hub motors. I have seen some home made three wheeled boards that use an ebike/emoped hub motor; in that case you could basically have as much power as you want.
