Any kid seeing THIS version would not be able to sleep for the rest of their lives! Even some adults too! Really cool. Would love to see a version of “The Thing” like this.
cool idea but the movie was that this thing was not detected.. non of these characters would have passed off as human in disguise. love horror and i love the idea but no it would not work.. what made the thing work so well was how it remained so hidden the whole time. thanks for sharing its still cool . \m/
The Thing, directed by Ed Wood. Popcorn (snow) on the floor of a Culver City warehouse.................Petey the dog in a worn gorilla costume chases an out-of frame steak.
No, "The Thing" was good on it's own. But this should have been a good script for Prometheus. A story how the "Engineers" are testing a alien type virus on humanoids. As the alien virus becomes stronger, the alien part take the upper hand more and more.
Looking at all this horrific (and also quite interesting) imagery, I have to wonder: what kind of story would tie all of it together? Marrying up tenets of Alien and The Thing, I'd like to think that R.J. MacReady and co. were deep space longhaulers who stumbled upon an alien signal and, under contractual obligations, set down on an ice world, with their ship getting damaged in the process, then discovered an alien ship. Then, after investigating said ship, various members of MacReady's crew begin to slowly and painfully - or in various cases, violently and catastrophically - morph into humanoid abominations, all bent on assimilating the rest before fixing and relaunching the ship. The rest, faced with death or assimilation, fight to stop them with what's left of their dwindling humanity. Needless to say, body horror and rampant paranoia would be utterly ubiquitous throughout the movie. Sounds kinda badass, in my honest opinion.
@@DekomposerMusic Just imagine, Species, Species II and Species III if directed by Ridley Scott, Steve Jablonsky, Guillermo Del Toro or James Cameron.
This just took The Thing's body horror into a whole new direction...
Incredible....This actually looks better than the movie itself... Those designs are insane.
"Inside, no one can hear you scream." -Alien Thing
DAMN!!!!..... Giger/ Ridley Scott's version of the creature makes the John Carpenter version of theirs look beautiful......😳😳😳
The Thing meets Alien.

Lol 😂 this is true, and I would also like to see a version like this, thanks for the support.
i dont know about anyone else. but i will be up all night now.
Lol
MAAAAAAN,
YOU SHOULD SHOW THESE TO SOME STUDIOS,I'M SURE SOMEBODY WOULD PICK IT UP AS A CONCEPT WORK FOR A FUTURE MOVIE...
What Prometheus should have looked like.
*your flesh will welcome us*

I believe Ridley Scott was considered to direct the movie during the late 70s or early 80s.
The correct title spelling: The Thing
😎

That sounds like a fun concept.
Xeno thing sounds horrific a creature unrivaled by anything...or anyone
I hope someone does a decent _Thing_ remake, using AI to design and animate the creatures!
Do you take any toilet breaks or are you on Midjourney ever second of every day 😅😅
I'm wondering about that myself.
Lol I don’t spend more then 2hrs on MidJourney at a time. I’m just efficient while using it. 🙃
@@DekomposerMusic Well congrats on reaching 1K, you certainly earned it.
